[Steam] "There has been a patch that you need to update to"

i am getting this problem right now. downloaded necro settlers, it worked first time, after that it does not update and i cant login. standalone client.

edit:
i ran packcheck.exe,opened poe and it redownloaded update, it works now.

same issue.... wtf GGG?????

Restarted my PC and steam after having the message 3 times, Steam downloaded the update this time and now I can log in.

For those facing this issue, for me it is fixed after deleting the "Path of Exile 2" folder under <home>/AppData/Roaming then running the game again.

I have this same issue through Epic games... worked fine until it kicked me off, epic says it just downloaded the new update and then it won't let me log in.

I am having the same issue, tried both steam and standalone firewals/repair/tmp files/uninstall everything i can try. Nothing is working please help GGG!

BUMP!!The Steam login error has occurred again with the version 3.28.0i update.


Login Error

Download update - same error
Restart Steam - same error
Restart computer - same error
Validate files - same error
Download update again - same error
Uninstall and reinstall - same error but now I have 3.28.0i release tags instead of 3.28.0h
Download update again - same error

Endless loop!!
