Hi! Can i use barrage as a single target dps, and chain in the place of cold penetration for ice shot? How good is that?
Sure you can, you just need to weigh on what you will gain & lose by doing so and see if it's worth it. I personally don't feel the need to use chain though, it clears well enough as it is.
There seems to be something wrong with the POB (multiple skills overlap) so I'll just take whichever's ideal.
First of all of course you won't be hitting 3M, you're not even on a 6L yet, so don't take mine as an immediate goal for now.
1. POB calcs not ticking the important stuffs (power charge, frenzy charge, etc.). I've done it for you.
2. You're not using Diamond flask / Quartz flasks. Why Sorrow of the Divine though? A normal sulphur flasks that you can roll will be much better. Jade flasks is extremely weak as compared to Quartz flask for this build, and you don't really need Quicksilver IMO.
3. How are you reserving your auras? You don't have the all important skitterbot enchantment and your precision is at too high of a level. POB giving me negative mana reserved so there must be 1/2 aura you're not activating.
4. You don't have any source of Onslaught. If Brutal Restraint is expensive to roll for now, try to get an abyss jewel on your belt that can grant Onslaught on kill / use silver flasks.
5. Before you get a 6L, try to find a well-rolled Hyrri's Ire first as it will be your BIS.
6. The bow is only very slightly better than a Death's Opus, so you should think of upgrading that later in the future.
7. Awakened gems
8. Not related to DPS but try to go for non-pierce Voidfletcher for better clearing
9. You don't need to allocate every point in the large cluster jewel & try to find a small cluster jewel with only 2 passive skills instead of 3.

Hi am looking to start this build as my 2nd in this league. I was wondering if the screen clear mobs happens with Herald of Ice (I can see the buff but I cant see the MTX) - I just wanted a good Herald of Ice build to use with my MTX...

Sure it does, as long as your attacks are critting. However HoI is just a supporting function for the build, not the main skill. But if all you're concerned about is the MTX then go ahead. Of course you can't see the MTX on my videos because I don't have any.

and got awakened gems on my armor
also swapped my small cluster jewel
Still at 1,2mion, where do I lack all the DPS? Please tell me Im getting really confused how its possible to try copy ur build and not even reach half the dmg
with a 35ex bow I could maybe reach 1,5mion DPS but where is the rest?

Again, I can't stress enough that you're not ticking the correct boxes in POB under tab 'configuration'. I did the following for you:
1. Re-ticked the relevant boxes in POB
2. Replaced added cold damage with awakened added cold damage
3. Replaced you bow with 30ex one
4. Ticked 'is the enemy intimidated?' (You need intimidate gloves for this)
5. Allocated Point Blank (didn't see you never allocated it before)
Just 5 of the above steps bring you to 2.8m DPS. You can view your POB here:

You'd need to spend money on upgrade 2-4, but without those 3 you'll be sitting at 1.9m DPS.
Again, please make sure you tick the proper boxes in POB to actually simulate your DPS. You shouldn't be aiming for 3m DPS like my build did as that was during when harvest-crafting was readily available, a DPS of roughly 2.2-2.5m is good enough IMO.
p.s. Your watcher eye does nothing for the build, so make sure you change that later as well.

Can I "replace" intimidate gloves with +#% damage while leeching and increased projectile damage until I upgrade bow? If I understand correctly we almost always leeching mana anyway and in POB it's not a big decrease over intimidate gloves (like 4-5% lower in total DPS if I switch to intimidate one). Intimidate + attack speed + life + resist gloves costs like a good bow :D

Sure you can, but the build does not have as much phys damage coverted to cold, mostly as flat added cold damage hence the effect is not as good. Atziri's promise would be better in the slot as chaos res is harder to get than phys damage mitigation.
what should I be using for 6th link until I can get skitterbots up and running?
For now I'm running herald + hatred until I can get my hands on a nice enlighten so hypothermia not really worth it until I can get skitter up right?
No what I meant was leave linking hypothermia for last priority, you can link it if that's your last slot. You don't need to link skitterbot with bonechill yet, and you'd still enjoy the hypothermia effect already. Also hatred + herald should only be 50% total of the mana reservation (25% mana reserve from Replica Hyrri amulet), so skitterbot should be available to you already.

Not really recommended, as it is not as consistent. You do not get 100% on leech effect unless you're running overleech setup. If intimidate is hard to come by, try to go for the following:
- (Prefix) +1 to Maximum Frenzy Charges
- (Suffix) +(46–48)% to Cold Resistance
(30–50)% increased Damage with Hits against Chilled Enemies
They're almost equivalent to intimidate on hit. The Incursion Suffix can also be better since it rolls max cold res for the build as well.
