After crashing can't close the program even through task manager.

Getting the same issues. The game just hangs, you can't kill it with taskkill, task manager, or Stop-Process. The only option is hard reset your pc.

Switched to DX11 for the time being.

FWIW, my specs are:
OS: Windows 10 Home, Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.746)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700
GPU: GeForce RTX 2060
NVidia Driver Version: 461.09
Ok this looks like same problem for me. Vulkan as well. Couldn't kill Poe process and my PC froze so I had to hard reboot. Upon reboot my computer was frigged. Sound unfixable and PC won't restart at all. Trying to restore factory setting ATM and even in that PC won't restart. Will switch back to directx11 now if my computer hardware hasn't died. Thanks for all the feedback peeps.

Same issue here. Can't shut down the program even with taskkill, cant even reboot computer normally, have to cut the power. This is a serious issue why are you taking so long to fix this?

This is crazy, I can't even close my computer in a normal way, hard reboot is only option. It's just sad

I am a minor streamer so it is not like this affects me in a major way, but this restart issue (first time experiencing it today) will now force me to end my stream and start another one.

Just for extra info, I play with a GTX2060, 16GB RAM, graphics turned all the way to maximum, and never experienced any system/game crashes or FPS drops before patch 3.13. Since Echoes of Atlas, I have been experiencing MASSIVE FPS drops, from 160 down to as low as 20-40 fps. I also experienced game crashes a couple times, as well as this total system lockup just now. Switching from DX11 to Vulcan has fixed the FPS drops, but since I have now experienced this lockup today, I wonder if it is due to the renderer setting. But I simply cannot go back to DX11 due to the awful FPS drops.

Also this game crash decided to happen while I was doing a unique map, and now I lost the map, so thats just great

Hi, I also suffered from this problem which I encountered today.

I wanted to try the new league, but found I froze after 10-20s on the menu and had to hard reset like you described.
Strange because I've never had this problem before.
Then I realised I recently reinstalled windows, but this process does not reinstall the latest direct x 11 files.

Edit: PS. I did not read the whole thread before posting this so apologies if this has already been suggested

Solution: Check that all of your direct x 11 files are up to date. If in doubt, just reinstall them anyway.

This instantly fixed my problems and now no more crashes.

I hope this helps!
