After crashing can't close the program even through task manager.

I had this problem, yesterday I installed latest gpu driver and it is ok now.
Before I used default driver installed by Windows.
Edit: with new driver, it is ok, no freeze in days.

happened about 6 times now since yesterday, extremely frustrating. how has this been a thing for so long...

running game with vulcan, win10 on lenovo legion 5 laptop, ryzen 7 4800h and gtx 1660 ti

same here, had to go back to direct x 11 and now have screen freezes again :(.

It's a life or death matter for a player because the game is unplayable to me on DirectX 11

It's been happening to me, as well. Three times so far since one of the patches about 2-3 days ago. Won't be killed through task manager, and if I try to kill it through logout I just get stuck in an empty logout screen instead. Have to reboot. I'll try to update the GPU drivers and see if anything changes, otherwise I might just give up on this league. It's frustrating to have to reboot over something like this.

Running POE on a Ryzen 2600, a GTX 1060 6GB and 16GB DDR4. SSD.

Happening to me too, cant play on Direct x as it just stutters, Vulkan is smooth until this happens and i have to force shutdown.... Happens multiple times a day now after path about 3 days ago....

Edit - A driver reinstall seems to have fixed the crashes for me

exactly: directx have stutters and vulcan is smooth. there is crash when you have loading screen between maps. i have other problem too: game gets freeze. i see animations, i hear sounds. after few seconds the game gets a animations boost.
and this is not first time when i see this problems.
maybe time to upload game to new engine?
