[3.13] Aziire's CwC Hydrosphere Elementalist - Maven Ez Clap | Ritual League Starter
Hey, noob question there, I just got last day Inpulsa 6L with only 150 fuses!
I can't seem to get 5blue 1red but wathever, Ive put hypothermia for now. I wanted to have more explanation regarding the hp explosion thingy. I don't really see what it does and if it has a proper effect. I also feel I'm much more squishy but I suppose that's normal after dropping the beast fur shawl. Side question: I also recently dropped 2EX and I'm looking for a better weapon, I dunno if I should save for more. I currently have I'm saving for the Choir off hand(which I could have had for 3000 ritual but I bought something dumb before and couldn't delay it) Last edited by Cmagik on Feb 2, 2021, 6:15:21 AM

Update on my side:
I managed to craft this sick armor which I will further augment by removing life mod and replacing it with a crafted "gain es as % of maximum life" and hopefully will reroll ES mod as close to t1 as possible. I changed my clusters. Since I generate Frenzy and Power charges via my armor i dropped power charge cluster node and got blind enemies on hit which seems to be very OP. It procs off flame dashes and seems to be screen wide. I changed my auras a bit. Most importantly I dropped Herald of Ice completely. - I now have Enlighten linked with Wrath, Herald of Purity (extra 4 bodies to take damage off me and Purity of Lightning (extra 5% max res and synergy with Watchers eye). Three of my golems are set up in a 6 link with Vaal Skeletons, Meat Shield and Culling Support (before I get a pair of nicely awakened gloves with unnerve and culling). My purity of lightning also benefits from my Watchers eye that converts 10% physical to Lightning damage. POB wise i'm clocking at almost 17M dps with storm burst and about 700k with hydrosphere and about 60-70K ehp - which seems to be quite enough for all content so far. I only die if i get reckless and flame dash into sirus clouds or packs of overjuiced mobs. I cannot tank sirus DIE beam. I think this is as far as this build can go without dropping hydrosphere from cwc link and any further improvements i see are miniscule. Unless I'm missing something big this is as far as it takes us. Last edited by w1841d3 on Feb 2, 2021, 10:28:43 AM

our damage isn't a static number. to see if trinity can work just check the ingame tooltip, e.g.
1000 to 2000 lightning 1500 to 2500 cold --> both damage types can be highest, trinity should work fine (stormburst hits a lot of times so we should trigger stuff near instantaneusly) 1000 to 2000 lightning 2500 to 3500 cold --> even the lowest possible cold damage is still higher than the highest possible lightning damage, so trinity will never activate all three elements on the cwc hydrosphere question: 2 more damage links for stormburst seem way better, but we still want the exposure it grants on tougher stuff my personal solution is a trigger wand with hydrosphere-incAOE-frostshield meh during zoom zoom, but it works wonders during mostly static rituals and on tougher bosses next thing to test: fully 6linked hydroshere in a trigger staff (because scew manual casting, i want one button builds :-)
Update on this build
Crafted myself a decent Body Armour to replace the Inpulsa, currently running a Void Sphere + Blind (may swap this out for Culling Strike) to deal with Heist and Ritual mobs, also a Frost Bomb for bossing, especially to counter Maven's healing. Currently my build shreds pretty much all content, haven't tried Uber Elder yet but I suspect that my damage won't be lacking. Also, Maven is not that hard, but it punishes bad positioning much more severe than Shaper or Elder (Memory Game visually will get alot harder if you let the Galaxy Grounds litter all over the place). Other than that the fight was relatively smooth. Lost 2 portals on the first try due to me silly tanking her swiping beams Last edited by YoghurtCranberry on Feb 2, 2021, 3:50:24 PM

" Can you do a quick run down on how you crafted that staff? I've been messing around in poedb but I'm really green on higher crafts like this.
" For large clusters I think corrosive elements (so you can drop hydrosphere), disorienting display, and either over shock or thunderstruck would be the bis notables. Disorienting display particularly is quite strong with this build, as you've seen. Last edited by vinco2050 on Feb 2, 2021, 5:57:47 PM

Thinking about it for a sec you can get over shock on a medium so thunderstruck for the large cluster

How would this build convert into a very similar build of CWC Winter Orb? Currently templar and it is a fun leveling experience. But now have no clue on how to gear or what the passive tree should end up being. Your view would be appreciated!

" It's very difficult if almost impossible to craft those staffs deterministically as CWC has no tags. Your best bet is to either alteration shaper base until you hit it or buy one of such staffs off the market. I myself bought cwc +3 lightning gems staff off the market unlinked and crafted mine into this. " Im quite happy with Hydrosphere in my link inflicting exposure and actually dealing damage (i've killed bosses many times by running around like a rabbit while hydrosphere eats them slowly). Also do not forget the "hoovering MTX" effect that hydrosphere adds which I quite like. After all - this whole build is about CWC Hydrosphere. Theoretically - you can also inflict exposure by having your golems linked to an Elemental Army support if you so fancy. If you replace Hydrosphere - with say Concentrated Effect you get mana issues with Storm Burst which are beyond this build to resolve. Last edited by w1841d3 on Feb 2, 2021, 7:20:14 PM

For those going the staff route and want to eventually dump hydrosphere, I heavily suggest Disintegrator staff. It does lack crit but makes up for it with a massive flat spell phys damage roll to compensate. GGG changed it around so it's added flat damage to spell roll is gone but gave it the Battlemage ascendancy from Inquisitor so you can get somewhere like 100-190 spell phys damage and due to the calculations of phys being at the start of the conversion equation it just adds up quite well. Add in to the fact there's the Gain 4% of non chaos damage as extra chaos damage per siphoning charge mod on it, with enough phys damage mitigation on your character and a bunch of Elder or Shaper items it scales up to be probably one of the highest DPS'ing weapons available for this build.
Having a bunch of phys mitigation is needed if you plan to use a disintegrator and have more than a few elder/shaper items equipped since that 150 phys damage per siphoning charge degen can hurt. https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Disintegrator Last edited by reciprocate on Feb 2, 2021, 7:23:37 PM
