Thanks for your help checking my gear and confirming that I understood the guide right.
I managed to dos 5 maps now where I only died at a ritual. I start to understand why I die. There are enemies from all directions and my minions cannot kill them fast enough. Thus I need to move away to dodge and/or for the life flask to work. Especially when I am surrounded by enemies (that my minions can use my auras) I sometimes I cannot get out fast enough with SC. I played so far build using dash and the behaviour is different. And yes, playstyle is different as well. And I also realise that maps is different than story. There I could just stand and wait for everything to get killed.
In the end it is about fun, I got a better helmet (with 110 life) and nice essence to craft life on a good item.

Good to see you still making builds Wrecker. This is my first time playing since Betrayal league. I believe I used your Slow Mo Zombies build as my last build before a few years break.
Anyway, I've got my bone zombies necro up to lvl 81 so far. Gaining xp seems far less frustrating than it used to be. Heists and rituals really keep that xp bar moving along.
My main feedback right now is I love the build, but for me it needs skeletons to be optimal, particularly for rituals. I should say I could use better gear, but my resists are capped and I have 4600hp (want to get 6k+ soon). Maybe I just suck. The crazy number of mobs spawning at rituals quickly overwhelms my defenses if I hang out in the mid and use shield charge. Especially since reaching maps, I am discovering I need to hang out around the perimeter of the ritual in order to stay alive. THis is where skellies come in very handy, since I can fire them into the center and they will go about their business, even reaching the other side of the ritual, which my zombies don't do because of the strong tether to the toon.
I am playing around with casting vulnerability manually. Any comments on best support gems for that debuff (in place of Shield charge/fortify/hextouch) would be cool. I should get some links figured out soon, but thought I would check with the pro :) I will probably still use the shield charge 4-link outside of rituals. But inside rituals I'm finding charge to be a challenge, especially with lag issues.
Anyway, fun build, it sure is a blast seeing 23 minions running around kicking ass. thanks!

I appreciate the honest feedback! That's good stuff. I miss Skeletons as well but I'm also loving the Zombie only way. You could always throw in Predator Support if you wanted to "throw" your zombies around.
If you've changed the build up a bit, you'd be the best one to know what works best for you. Especially if you're self-casting with mana regen and such. But for me, having an escape like Phase Run or Withering Step is nice. Also, increasing the AoE and Duration of the self casted curse is nice too.
Ya, Ritual is HARSH for lag the farther you get in the game. Same with some of the Atlas tree choices too.

Enjoying this build yet again Wrecker. Playing HCSSF as usual, level 83 currently. Hoping to advance past the last one that died at 91....Had a couple close calls, but cruising overall. A matter of time, I play 100% legit, take my deaths, just hope they go out on a tough boss versus technical issues or stupid stuff like playing while drowsy......fingers crossed for 92.
Dead at 85 due to my own over confidence, build was crushing before zipping through a doorway like Rambo.....got a bunch of nice drops, very productive before her demise......back at it, same build.

Had a few items drop for me and decided to take the Baron route as I had never done it before and figured it would make things interesting.
Wow is it ever solid. My build's still scuffed but I am steadily farming high reds.
Tweaked the build to my liking like I always do (I love skeles, man). I think the best part of your build, and minions in particular, is you can always play around with all of the gems. On my zombies I have been messing around with everything you can think of and finally decided on something I kind've enjoy.
I still need to fix my colours, and I need better rings, but we are rolling.
Now... if I can somehow get to plus 1 sock gems, plus 2 support gems, and minion damage mace I will be laughing (though I got a sinking feeling it's not going to happen for me this league).
Instead, I'm trying to push to 1k strength without the maul (10% inc str implicit) so I can roll a very good minion wand with three reds (auras) and then a shield.
Hope the league's going well for all my zombie bros!

There was one other question that wouldn't let me sleep at night. :D Would you mind explaining why you decided to CWDT your golem? Does it really die that often that CWDT needs to "refresh" it?
To be honest, I made my golem (Carion, by the way ;)) an active skill, adding some Brutality to it, and I have never seen it die yet. Actually, whenever someone dies it's my poor necro witch. :D All of the zombies/spectres/golem are unfazed by whatever I've been throwing at them. But, truthfully, I haven't reached any of the truly end-game bosses yet. I'm at level 91 SSF, casually mapping in around T10 map area so far (with occasional Maven boss fight or the like).

EDIT: Let me take additional moment to thank you for this awesome build once again. :D I just defeated Catarina (with one death too!) and am probably a bit too proud and excited at the moment. :D I'm not sure how difficult Catarina is supposed to be compared to the later bosses (she is probably nothing compared to Sirius or Atziri), but when I first fought her she literally wiped the floor with me. ;D Probably mostly because I didn't know anything about how I'm supposed to fight her. But learning her pattern is only part of the success. A strong build is a necessity as well. And BONE ZOMBIES certainly delivers! Thanks again!
PS. For the reason above, I'm inclined to call the build BONER ZOMBIES from now on (if you allow a bit of adult humor ;) ).
PPS. Let's hope Jun will be able to take a breather now, and perhaps focus on pursuing Zana's heart, like she said she would. :)

First, to answer your question, I kept CwDT on the Golem this league because I wasn't sure how the minion's survivability would be with the surprise boss core content that was added. It'll be coming out for 3.14. It'll likely get replaced with Summon Holy Relic. But obviously, people can make any choices they want.

As mentioned you're more than welcome to do what you like with the anoints that you choose. There are certainly lots of options out there. My style of guide writing is to not have any gear required. So I'll let people modify the tree as they like based on the oils that drop for them and the anoints they choose.
On a side note, be sure to make up for all the lost life % you'll be missing around Constitution if you are going to use your gold to anoint that.
Do you not use a cluster jewel in your cluster jewel node?
I used a large cluster jewel with some nice bonuses (feasting fiends + call to the slaughter + 2 jewels), but it takes 7 points to get everything worth getting. I suppose I could replace that with 7 points in +5% life, but my current issue is slow clear speed. I'm teaming up with a toxic rain build and the meta carrion golem build, and I'm just not keeping up.
I should note that I'm not in SSF.

I have yet to find a Cluster Jewel that I like (I play SSF). I'd totally use one if I did though. I include the cluster jewel slot in the guide to give people the option if something does drop for them.
That's surprising that the build doesn't keep up. It's a great clearer for me. I guess it's just a matter of preference, history, and opinion. We have almost every minion damage node on the tree and the gem setup is really strong for not needing gear. I guess the next step is gear. Influenced items can increase the damage nearby enemies take, +level to minion/physical gem mods are huge too. But that stuff is only if you're looking for the top gear. But I guess you are in terms of keeping up with whichever other builds they are playing.

Hey Wrecker - I'm really enjoying this build. Can you guess what level this build could pull off the 3rd/4th labs? I've only ever made it thru the 2nd lab on any build (I'm a new/recreational player) and I'm asking because this thing seems to just eat the content alive. I'm glad you're liking the build. This build can be slow levelling as it is highly dependant on Zombie survivability. That being said, if you've chosen to level with Skeletons or Summon Raging Spirit, you'll find labs really easy. I normally just do the labs when I'm within 3 levels of the suggested monster level. It could easily do a great difference but it also depends on how you've chosen to level (offence or defence or both). You should be able to easily do the 3rd ascendancy before finishing the campaign.
