[3.19] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

Hey guys! I'm back for the Sentinel league. It looks like a clear speed league, so I'm thinking Occultist.

But what to do for the stun immunity? ACwC is no longer good because we want to take advantage of the massive self-cast DPS on the bosses.

While leveling and early mapping it's not a big deal because you take Tolerance for 60% stun avoidance as well as Corrupted Blood immunity. But later on you want to spend those points elsewhere.

Can you use the Flesh/Flame jewels from your own class? If so, we could get Vile Bastion on those jewels. But that's instead of more damage on Heart of Destruction.

Any other way to get stun immunity or at least a high enough stun avoidance?

jewels implicit by harvest could be an option... harvest is on kirac this league.

Brought all the good stuff from 3.17 Ascendant. Occultist actually does more damage, in addition to superior clear speed. It's just a little more expensive and harder to optimize on mana and resistances.

I hope that makes it easier to remember when and where to get gems.

Getting Strength and Dexterity seems to be difficult here, so crafting an amulet to replace astramentis is going to be a bit more difficult

Not really. Str can be rolled on the belt. Dex on the amulet or ring.

I'm testing every endgame boss right now with the occultist version, I have not noticed a big loss of tanky ness yet despite the lack of regen.

I do notice I run out of mana with selfcast setup with the same mana regen and mana cost but I'm at 111 unreserved mana compared to your 173 mana with the same tree so I assume its down to min maxing.
This part is crucial I guess as we have to make sure we stack 5 storms at all times.

Does your unreserved mana affect your mana regen? Because if not, what you are seeing is a mana drain from chaining icestorm that exceeds your regen and which is unrelated to the unreserved mana.

That is potentially a build killer for bosses that are unmoving most of the time.

Did you ensure you ticked all of the mana regens in the passive tree?

Converted my Scion gear from last league into an occultist, mind you everything here is far from optimized, I'm not stun immune and I have mana issues with selfcasting that get me killed sometimes.

I tried really hard to face tank as many mechanics as possible and play as sloppy as I can to test the tankyness, even tanking when I can't leech and such

Killed Sirus, Maven and Shaper and it was fine, removed the videos because they were accidently uploaded on my real life account.

Overall looks like Occultist is just great, the damage difference is noticeable in favor of occultist, but mana is getting me destroyed at times, I do however have 111 max mana with enlighten 4 unlike the PoB with 173 so perhaps the additional mana will fix it, however I feel its a mana regen issue.

EDIT:

Mana problem solved by just getting a tiny bit more mana and regen from a node, so its a no problem as long as ur mana is above 150ish I'd say.

See the Mana Sustain section if you are running out of mana. Occultist has to be more careful than Ascendant because of an extra aura she has.
