[3.14] Dejuvenate's Flameslinger Elementalist. Best League starter and unethical clear speed

Can someone help me out with what I should focus on upgrading first? I've only got 3.4k life so real squishy. Single target damage on elder guardians is also rough. Thanks!

Does anyone know if Trinity support https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Trinity_Support works for KB, that is, affects the Flame Wall secondary debuff?

No idea how this can be tested, I just compared KB-Hextouch-Flamabillity to KB-Trinity-Phys to Lightning. No real difference...

If that works, I'd go for some +lightning to attacks, just a bit more than the flat +fire added by Flame Wall. I didn't check if it's possible at all (without a gem), I'd need to reach a 50:50 fire:something ratio, at best.

Resistance Penetration doesn't work for DoTs unfortunately, and since Flame Wall doesn't hit, you wouldn't gain resonance for fire.

I'm sure there's a way to make it work, but the amount of hoops you'd have to jump through to do so doesn't make it worth it imo.

Just like to say this build is awesome. Going to league start it next league for sure unless it gets nerfed for some crazy reason. Hit 100 last night with this build in trade league ritual. I went a tankier route to achieve this but damage was still about 2.7 mil dps without RF or vaal RF up. And could do all bosses in the game fairly easy and still clear super fast.

Not a very min maxed version. Stopped tweaking it after hitting 98 and just grinded.

Wow, so glad to hear someone actually hit 100 with this build.

I kinda gave up on this build as it's kinda rough to boss with this and I personally prefer a tankier/immortal build, like golem *cough*

thanks for the vote of confidence!

RE: Glancing Blows mitigation

I agree that if you have exactly 38% attack and spell block, it's a trade off either way and high life regen does favor GB in this scenario. That's rarely what people actually have for block chance though.

Your int shield is going to be 22-25 base attack block.
Your tree is +6 attack block and +28 spell block.

On the low end block shield, you're even at 28/28 block. Then you add a Rumi's that has min attack and max spell block, you're at 42/38. So at worst, you're leaving that extra 4% of full mitigation behind in addition to the mitigation difference calculated.

On the higher but reasonable end, you have a 24% block shield and say a 17/9 Rumi's plus Tempest Shield. That's just enough for 75/75 with Glancing Blows. Without GB, it's 50% attack block and 40% spell block. That's a whole lot more mitigation without GB.

I guess this is all irrelevant if you are playing SC and just trying to reduce the amount of times you get one-shot. Playing HC, you're more looking to prevent a few quick big hits from killing you so it's a different story. 50% attack block without GB is going to help a lot more with porcupines.

(P.S. CWDT + any offering will make you immortal against porcupines)

51% phys reduction before armor and flasks and pantheon. (43% if bossing because only the 1 min endurance charge). 1k life regen. 5.8k hp. 66/40 block without rumi's up. stun immune. It's def tanky. You can also off screen anything scary. Or put dot up and run around non stop. I def played like it was hardcore tho. But still 2.7~ mil dps with this level of tank is enough to do everything easily. Only die on bosses by misplaying mechanics you are supposed to dodge (and even then can tank sirus beams if you block enough). I invested quite a bit of currency into it though. Budget version would be almost as tanky but lose over a mil dps.

Storm brand. You can precast it and it has quite brand attachment to clamp onto mobs

Make sure you dont have any +fire to spell tho

Maven down!

Switched out some pieces/annoint and managed to get enough mana reserve to have vitality/malevolence/herald of ash all up. Sitting at around 4.8mil Sirus damage.

Not really sure what else I can do to make this build better outside of yolo trying to get a +2/+2 skins of the loyal
So is storm brand needed in ring instead of golem?
