Wrong. It does work, you just need an abyss jewel that has the affix "Minions dead # to # lightning (or cold) damage".
I'm assuming this is working from a base of the (Chaos) golem being placed in a Malachai's Artifice so the gem inherits the EE from there?

Not sure I follow. But what happens is that once you socket the abyss jewel your golems will deal a little bit of cold/lightning damage.

We don't really care how much, because golems don't deal significant damage anyway.

So, assuming your chaos golem is socketed into malachai, once the golem hits the target, it will hit with some cold/lightning damage. That applies the EE. And because of how chaos golem attacks, you don't care where the golem is since his attack is not a projectile that passes through flamewall.

Does it make sense now?

The cool part is, if you have the anima stone and the amulet, you can have up to 9 golems. So you get 4 of each different type and 5 x chaos. Each of these golems will proc EE. If you have multiple targets and they hit different targets, all of the targets that get hit will proc EE, etc

==

I tried a while ago when I was 88-90 a weird combination. I switched to Eldrich Battery, socketed perma RF (with 1k life regen / s it's easy to sustain it) and I socketed storm brand. The storm brand and RF would deal a significant chunck of damage by themselves. Especially since I also used Inpulsa.

It's obviously not ideal, but it was a fun experiment. And i could reserve 100% mana because of ES protecting my mana. 3k life is not where you wanna be tho. It helped me clear a lot of content.
Made a short video - https://youtu.be/uLhvEmi3uBk
You can see in the transition phase that I don't even hit the regular mobs. I just run and they melt, no FW needed lol.

Hey all!

I've been wondering for a while what build to start with, in the upcoming Ziz-Gauntlet, and this build grabbed my eye. I've been reading it for a while now, and it looks really interesting. The one thing I couldn't find is a link to the passive tree while leveling. It's hard for me to decide which passive to pick and when on an unfamiliar build. So if you have a link laying around it'd mean a lot to me if you share it.

Cheers!

I can understand why you are confused. The original post went through a bunch of transformations.

Anyway, here's the PoB for levelling & before you can afford the cluster jewels, somewhere under a SPOILER on the original post.

https://pastebin.com/9sGnqAMf

You have a bunch of details under the Notes tab.

It can probably be optimized by what we learned in the past 3 months.

You can also check the PoBs from Ghazzy / zizaran.

Once you get the cluster jewels, you can follow the latest pob in the original post or something that one of the popular players like CAKE use.

Thank you for your work. I am sorry I haven't got a chance to update the guide and do it justice.

I saw some guides online already by popular streamers, so I would probably post a link to them so the newer players can look it up easier.

I've been playing other builds just so I can stay interested.

will you update thread or should we use Cry0nicS' pob at launch? i started with your january pob and they're really different.
Yeah, the PoB Section needs work, it is very confusing which PoB to use for leveling. I figured out which one, but having it clarified for new people interested in the build for 3.14 onwards is best.

I was doing this build in a SSF environment, been suffering in terms of single target towards low red tier maps because I couldn't roll % fire multi or +1 on any wands via reforge fires and scorched fossils.

I would really really appreciate it if someone linked the specific replies that detail the crafting methods for the gear because i'm just suffering. respecced to a different build while figuring out how to craft the gear.

Perfectly. Thanks a million.

I was reading the 'only' way too literally and scratching my head on what I was missing. Finally twigged you were explaining the mechanics of the ring.... way slower than I'd care to admit.

Still only levelling through acts and avoiding grabbing the ring so far to better simulate a leaguestart and it's still smashing through the content. Can't wait to see how patchnotes end up treating it.

Caveats from the original poster, but for a one stop shop it's pretty solid (original back on page 142)....

I spent several days creating harvest crafting guide for this build. I know many people tend to avoid crafting, plus GGG intends to nerf harvest next league, so I thought maybe I'll spend some time writing out all the steps for each item slot. It has everything -- what you need to buy, which ilvl, which rolls, and what to do with it.

This is theory crafting because I am only starting the process this week (got an exam looming, so don't wanna go full 24/7 mode just yet). I was basing my choices on pure math, so take it with a grain of salt.

Here's the link to my spreadsheet, one tab per item: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1unQp1Ja3nlulxPG31_WkvupYphm8xVpDgEpRSbLdB7Q/edit?usp=sharing

I also added PoB link there and adding it here as well: https://pastebin.com/X70Uccbp

I'll be very interested to hear what you guys think.

Cheers!

EDIT: PoB updated 3/23/2021, EE is back, DPS is near 6 million, added Cinderswallow Urn Silver Flask instead of a Basalt Flask, some crucial gems were upgraded

I only watched a couple of things, but I doubt those are optimal ways.

For example, you shouldn't into a +2 amulet before you fixed everything else on your gear. The 50c Primordial will easily take you to level 95 and beyond.

The only true way to craft that amulet is to Awakener Orb. There's a good chance Sirus will drop you one until you reach the level to require on.

Rolling gloves if you start with a double influenced base is going to be a neightmare. Again, either buy a pair that has already the 2 mods or awakener orb.

Wand: if you want +2 wand, buy fractured wand with "+1 to all" and spam scorched fosile. In first week, you should be able to get the wand in less than 5ex.
If you want a +1 wand, spam 20-30 scorched fossils. That should be like 50c (including the resonators). Benchcraft fire dot multi and job done.

Ring: you need curse (EW or Flam) and dexterity. I got mine for 20 chaos or something. Benchcrafted life. Good enough. Later, I invested 1ex in a ring that I used until the end of league.
If you like to craft it, get vermillion influenced base and spam dex essence until you land the curse on hit. Not cheap.
You can also look into having a decent life/es/rez glove with curse on hit corruption implicit. Might be cheaper.

Dunno why there are 2 cobalt jewels. You should get Anima Stone + Emineence.

Helmet: I'm not a big fan of Archdemon early on. Mostly because it will be hard to cap rez. Get a Hubris with T1 ES, T1 life and rez and you'll more much happier at start.

People tend to ignore essences. I still find them pretty powerful, especially for this build.

These are for the guys that don't farm 10 exalts on day 2 and have double corrupted 6l on day 5. Those guys know better than me what to do.

I mean, fair enough, people don't have to play the same thing. There's no "one true way".

Obviously you can start with better bases, the point was to craft from scratch as much as possible. I only resort to buying when it's really nearly impossible, and harvest is part of fun for me. This was made to help out people who want to try their hand at crafting while it's still around.

I'm not convinced by primordial setup, my DPS is actually insane as is, and I prefer to play very defensively. Max block, resistances overcapped for ele weakness, etc. Again, to each their own.
