[3.24] SRS Bomber aka Popcorn SRS | League Start to Endgame | All Content
Hello there Exile, I finally came around to write a little Guide for my long-time (since Legion) league starter. Who is this build for
Spoiler
This Build is mainly aimed for casual players that like to stick to one Character within a league and finish the Atlas and Pinnacle encounters with it. This Build is not meant for T16 Delirium Juicers, High Speed Farmers etc. You can do almost anything with this build, but if you want to efficiently farm a certain content there is likely a Build that is far better suited for it. So most of the time the Answer to the Question "Can this Build farm ..." will be "Yes, but there are likely Builds that are better suited for it." 3.24 NOTE: DISCLAIMER: GGG made massive Changes to the SRS Gem(s), even though the Build will still work, it feels really clunky as soon as you swap to the “Summon Raging Spirit of Enormity” Gem. Besides the clunkyness the Clear suffers by quite a lot, since you can’t use Unleash and have at max 6 SRS out. For that reason, and since there are quite a bunch better SRS Builds (eg. Poison SRS) that perform better/feel better than Popcorn SRS, this will likely be the Last Update to the Build for a new league. 3.24 Changes: “Bone Barrier” no longer gives Bone Armour but instead provides life leech to us (based on the damage our SRS deal) and it gives the Minions ES based on their Life. IMPORTANT: don’t take the Bone Barrier node if you don’t have the Tavukai Amulet yet. It will brick the build! “Mindless Aggression” was buffed to provide “20% more Maximum Minion Life” and” Minions deal 10% more Damage” Both changes Buff the build, both defensively as offensively! For 3.24 I added two Versions of the Build, one with the “of Enormity” version and one with the normal Version of SRS. Both Build just differ slightly in the Tree and the main Skill Links, besides that they are identical. Note: The Full DPS of Both builds is relatively close (19,5mil vs 18.9mil), but the individual Hit Damage differs by quite a bit (3.2mil vs 950k). The variant with the normal gem feels way more smooth compared to the “of Enormity” Variant, even though it deals significantly lower damage. Since you can relatively easy swap between both variants feel free to try it for yourself. Guide Version: 3.24.0 (28.03.2023) Changelog
Spoiler
- Updated Tree to 3.24 - Incorporated Spell Suppression as another defence Layer - Reworked End Game Gear (Gloves, Boots, Helmet, Armour) accordingly - Updated general Notes and crafting notes (Check Notes in PoB) - add Second PoB for normal Gem Version _______________________________________________________________ 3.23 Changes / Notes The Normal Summon Raging Spirit Gem received a massive nerf for our Build, it loses its “Minions deal 0-38% more Damage”, which results in a ~40% Damage loss in the Endgame. They Added a new SRS Gem Variant though, which makes up for the remove damage by adding “#% More Maximum Life”, Always Crit and Crit Multi. The main Downside in the new Gem is that you can only Summon 6 Spirits max and the cast speed is significantly lower as the normal gem This will likely make the build feel clunky, even though is technically still functioning and we are likely able to reach higher Damage than before. You will want to swap your Regular SRS Gem to its Transfigured version at some point, Likely already during Campaign or early Maps! - Updated Tree to 3.23 - Added Mechanics section - reworked End Game Gear - Updated Gem loadout - Updated Crafting Notes 15.08.2023 - Updated Tree to 3.22 04.04.2023 - Skill-Tree Adjustments (Adding MoM) - Added self-crafted Gear Examples - Added Crafting Guides for all rare Gear 08.12.2022 - Further tweaked End Game Gear - Added Some Videos from 3.19 - Small Tree improvements Build Concept: The Build is all about exploding Raging Spirits with the Minion Instability Keystone and the Tavukai Unique Amulet. We use the Amulet and the Infernal Legion Support to make the Raging Spirits take damage until they reach low life and explode dealing damage based on their max life. The Build can easily be played as a starter and will take you through all the content there is and will obliterate any Pinnacle Boss there is. We are relying on a few, quite common, uniques. Therefore, the build is semi SSF viable Table of content 1. Pros/Cons 2. Videos 3. PoB 4. Defence Layers 5. Mechanics 6. Gear 7. Gems 8. Pantheon/Bandits 9. Levelling 10. Crafting 11. FAQ 1. 1.1 Pros: ++ Easy to do on a budget ++ Can do all Content ++ Can do all map mods ++ Elemental Ailment Immune ++ 75/75 Max Block (needs some investment) ++ Recover Life on Block ++ Leech and Instant Leech from Minions Damage ++ Nearly all Gear craftable with decent RNG ++ HC viable ++ Easy to scale damage with Minion Damage/Life/Minion crit Multi ++ Good single target damage + decent life pool (~4k – 5k) 1.2 Neutral - Somewhat SSF viable (not recommended as starter though) - Not a “zoom zoom”-Build - Needs Tavukai to really popoff 1.3 Cons: - Bad clear - Can be a bit squishy until you have enough Block/Ailment Immunities/ Spell Suppression - Tavukai to not feel too clunky - sucks for Legion encounters 2. Spoiler
For Defences we have a couple of Layers which make us quite tanky • Chance to Block Attack Damage: ==> = 75% • Chance to Block Spell Damage: ==> = 75% • Elemental Ailment Immunity --> Ghastly Eye jewel with 46%+ “Chance to avoid being shock”, socketed into Darkness Enthroned => 80%+ “Chance to avoid being shocked” --> 20% From Searing Exarch Boots Implicit ==> 100% “Chance avoid being shocked” -> Stormshroud ==> “Chance to Avoid being Shocked applies to all Elemental Ailments“ ==> = 100% All Elemental Ailments Note: Alternatively you can, if you can’t get your Hands on the Jewel you can still get ailment Immune using the Craft on your Body Armour, Shield, Shaper/Loathing Essence on Boots and/or Anoint Arcane Sanctuary (25%) and drop one of the affixes from Gear. • Spell Suppression -> One of the Strongest Defence Layers you can have -> You can either buy generic Spell Suppression, Life, Resistance Gear or craft them your self (check Notes Section of the Build 5. Mechanics
Spoiler
There are some notable Mechanics used in the Build that need more or less fine adjustment to work properly 5.1. Mana Reservation Efficiency Increased Mana Reservation Efficiency reduces the amount of Mana Skills reserve. In our late to endgame setup, we want to run a couple of Auras/Skills: - Skitterbots -> 35% - Determination -> 50% - Defiance Banner -> 10% - Tempestshield -> 25% - Aspect of the Spider -> 25% To fit all these in we must reduce the amount of Mana they reserve to a total of less than or equal to 100% of our Mana. To Reach that we need at least 45% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency. We have a couple of Options to reach that amount: - Sovereignty passive on the Tree -> 12% - The two small notables leading to Sovereignty -> 8% each - Helmet Eater of Worlds Implicit -> 7% - 12% - Helmet Affix from Essence of Loathing -> 9% - 10% - Body Armour Affix from Essence of Loathing -> 9% - 10% - Charisma passive on the Tree (Amulet Anoint) -> 16% The Easiest for us to get 45%+ Efficiency is by getting the Sovereignty Wheel on the Tree (28% Total) and a Helmet with both Affix from Loathing Essence (9%) and Eater of Worlds Explicit (8%) 45% Total 5.2 Energy Shield Recovery Rate We are Using Eldritch Battery (spend Energy Shield instead of Mana) and in the late to End Game we also use Mind over Matter (Take Damage from Mana instead of Life -> With Eldritch Battery it takes Energy Shield) Eldritch Battery reduces our Energy Recharge Rate by 50%, which makes it challenging to keep up with the amount we spend for casting and loosing from Damage. To counter this we need to increase our Energy Recharge rate. Try to get some Evasion/Armour Bases besides your Evasion/ES Bases and get some “#% Increased Armour” on the Tree, Flask and Gear, we Only need to get “Increases and Reductions to armour also apply to Energy Shield Recharge Rate at 20% of their value” from the Armour and Energy Shield Mastery, which we can Take in the “Fatih and Steel” Wheel. If you still struggle with ES maintainment you can also get “Skills Cost Life instead of 30% of Mana cost” from the Life Mastery. 5.3 Offering Effect One of our Main Defence Layers is Block. To Reach Max Block for both Attack and Spell we get some Block on the Tree and use “Bone Offering” which also Affects us since we have “Mistress of Sacrifice” from our Ascendency. To get to max Block (75% on both) we need to increase the Effect of Bone Offering We need about 46% increased Effect to safely reach max Block. There are some Options we can get Increased Effect of Offenrings / Increased Effect of Bone Offering - Minion Offence Mastery -> 20% - Body Armour Hunter Suffix -> 16% - 25% - Body Armour Exarch Implicit -> 13% -> 24% - Boots Exarch Implicit -> 6% - 17% - Bone Offering Gem Quality -> 10% The Easiest for us to get 46% increased Effect of Offerings is from Minion Offence Mastery (20%), Body Armour Exarch Implicit (16%) and Bone Offering Gem Quality (10%) Total 46% 5.4 Ailment Immunity Another Import Defensive layer is Ailment Immunity. There are many different variants to achieve Ailment Immunity, we use a total of 100% “Chance to avoid Elemental Ailments” (or “Chance to avoid being shocked” in combination with a Stormshroud Jewel). If you are going the Stormshroud rout you can combine “Chance to avoid Elemental Ailments” and “Chance to avoid being shocked” since the chance to avoid elemental Ailments is also a chance to avoid being shocked at the same time. Sources for “Chance to avoid Elemental Ailments - Shield Master -> 20% - Body Armour Crafted prefix -> 20% - 25% - Body Armour veiled prefix -> 30% - 35% - Boots Essence (Loathing) Suffix -> 31% - 35% - Boots Shaper Suffix -> 31% - 35% - Boots crafted Suffix -> 21% - 25% - Boots Eater implicit -> 15% - 32% - Shield Suffix -> 16% - 35% - Shield crafted Suffix -> 21% - 25% Sources for “Chance to avoid being shocked” - Abyss Jewel suffix -> 31% - 50% - Belt Essence (Torment) Suffix -> 56% - 60% - Boots Crusader Suffix -> 51% - 60% - Boots Essence (Torment) Suffix -> 56% - 60% - Helmet Essence (Torment) Suffix -> 56% - 60% - Body Armour Veild Suffix -> 31% - 35% - Body Armour Crafted Suffix -> 21% - 25% - Shield Crafted Suffix -> 21% - 25% - Shield Veiled Suffix -> 21% - 25% Even though there are quite a bunch of Options to reach 100% here, only a few are really viable for us. For pure Avoid Elements you’d likely take Shield Mastery (20%), Boots Essence Suffix (35%), Boots Implicit (20%) and Body Armour veiled prefix (30%) or Body Armour crafted prefix (25%). I’d recommend crafting the Armour prior to the Boots, to determine what tier/Roll you need on the Essence and the Eater Implicit. For The Stormshroud Jewel route you’d get the Shield Mastery (20%, avoid Elemental Ailments) and a Ghastly Eye Jewel with (45%+) (That you socket into your Darkness Enthroned for effective 80%+, or you’d Boots with Both Essence Suffix (20%, avoid Elemental Ailments) and Eater of Worlds Implicit (20%, Avoid Elemental Ailments) 6. Gearing
Spoiler
6.1 Gearing during Leveling
Spoiler
Gearing during Leveling is mostly as straight forward as it gets. Besides the Wand all you are looking for on the Gear are generic useful Stats like Life, Resistances, Movement Speed and a bit of Str/Dex. Just pick whatever you can get your hands on to fit your socket needs and has some decent Stats on it. Whenever you get your hands on an Essence of Fear, don’t hesitate to use it on your Wand, Gloves, Armour or Belt Both Wands (Calling, Convening, Convoking) and Shield (Bone, Ivory, Fossilised) can have useful Minion specific Stats, look out for those. Both these Slots can Roll Minion Damage, Minion Life and +1 to all Minion Skills. NOTE: The Summon Raging Spirits gem has the Tags “Spell, Minion, Duration, Fire” that makes all these “+1 to Level of all xxx Skill Gems” useful for us. 6.2 Gear Progression during mid to late Game
Spoiler
This section is meant to give you a short overview of how the progression of the different Gear slots could go. For further Details of the Gear checkout section 5.2 and 5.3 For Crafting guides for all Slots checkout section 9. Most of our Gear slots have a straightforward gear progression: “Get incrementally better Stats on them”. Amulet: Tavukai look for High Minion Life and Minion Damage rolls. Look for a low Chaos Resistance roll (-17 would be best for us. The lower the Resistances, the faster our SRS explode) Best in Slot would be one with “You can apply an additional Curse” Corrupt Implicit and decent (negative) Chaos Resistance. (NOTE: you can still put an Anoint on it, even when its corrupted) Belt: Darkness Enthroned its “50-100% increased Effect of Socketed Abyss Jewels” Enables us to easily get Ailment Immune and is arguably the strongest Belt (in combination with well rolled Ghastly Eye Jewels). Try to get one with 90%+ increased Effect. Alternatively go for a Stygian Vise with Life, Resistances, Minion Life Wand:Any combination of (the more the better): +1 all Skill Gems, +1 Minion Skill Gems, Minion Life, Minion Damage Shield:Recover Life on Block, Recover ES on Block, +1 to all Minion Skill Gems, Minion Life, Minion Damage, Max Life, Resistances A Shield with both Recoveries and +1, is really hard to come by. The most important stats on the shield are the recoveries on block, just get one with both and some other usable affixes. Gloves:An Evasion/ES or Evasion/Armour Base with Spell Suppression, Life, Resistances, Minion Life Helmet:An Evasion/ES or Evasion/Armour Base with Spell Suppression and most importantly an Eater of Worlds Implicit that gives “Increased Mana Reservation Efficiency”, and/or an “Increased Mana Reservation Efficiency” Suffix (you’ll need Essence of Loathing to get that suffix) NOTE: Check section 5 for further details on Mana Reservation Efficiency Besides the Reservation Efficiency, ideally you would have Spell Suppression, “+2 to all Minion Skill gems”, Life, Resistances Alternatively you can go for the Devouring Diadem it enables “Eldritch Battery” which lets us sustain our Mana/ES to spam SRS, go for the Intelligence+Dex” Unveil to solve some Stat requirements. The “Socketed Gems have 25% increased Reservation Efficiency“ enables us to run Skitter Bots, Tempest Shield, Determination and Defiance Banner. Body Armour: We want a 6-Link Chest for our SRS setup. An Evasion/ES or Evasion/Armour Base with Spell Suppression and Minion Life, Life, Resistances, avoid Ailments. If you still need the Additional Curse, you need to craft a Hunter Chest with Minion Life, Additional Curse and Offering Effect. Rings: Ideally you want Rings with Life, Minion Life, Minion Damage, Resistances, (Stats as needed), open prefix (to craft minus Mana Costs) One of your Rings needs to be an Unset Ring, to fit all the Gems we need. To get Minion Life and/or Minion Damage on the Ring, the Ring has either to be a Bone Ring or it must be Redeemer Influenced. 6.2 What to look for on your Gear:
Spoiler
6.2.1 Damage: All our damage comes from exploding Raging Spirits, dealing part of their max life as fire damage. To scale the explosions, we need Minion Life and Minion Damage and with the Transfigured Version of SRS we also scale with Critical Damage Multiplier. So wherever possible we want one (or even all three) of these stats on our gear. Both, Minion Damage and Minion Life, scale our damage by the same amount. Crit Multi is a multiplier, which scales or damage multiplicative (which is better). The only other stats that scales our Damage is gem Level. We can get that on our Wand, Shield and Helmet. Using Essence of Fear to craft our Boots, Gloves, Belt and Chest we can get up to “30% increased maximum Minion Life”/”Minions Deal 30% increased Damage” on these Slots. Stats like “#% increased Spell Damage”, “#% increased fire Damage, “adds xx Damage to Spells” etc. do nothing for us. 6.2.2 Defences: We want to reach Res cap, Spell Suppression cap, max Block, Life on Block and Elemental Ailment Immunity. For Ailment Immunity we will either need to craft on some of the items or get a Stormshoud Jewel, Darkness Enthroned (with 75%+) and a Ghastly Eye Jewel with atleast 46% Chance to avoid being shocked. For block we just need the “increased effect of Offerings” on our Chest and a Rumi’s Concoction Besides that, we want Chance to Suppress Spell Damage, life and resistances. 6.2.3 Stats: You will need some Dex, at least 68 total, for Skitter Bots. With a Devouring Diadem with Strength/Dex unveil, you should be fine. In general: Get the Dex you can and adjust the Gemlevels accordingly. Level your Gems that need Dex only as far as 68 Dex. 6.2.4 Aspect of the Spider You want an open Suffix on any of your Rare Gear pieces to craft Aspect of the Spider. Which is an aura that debuffs our Enemies and both helps our Damage (“5% increased Damage taken”) and our Defences (“30% reduced Movement Speed”). 6.3 Gear overview from past Leagues (Legacy)

The Devouring Diadem, though not the highest damage option, is great for the Build. By Using the Diadem we fix any Mana issues (Eldritch Battery, saves 4 Points on the tree), enable 5 Auras and helps with our Stats. Besides a relative expensive Rare Helmet the Diadem is the best Helmet we can get for the Build. When you are using The Diadem you will need to socket all your Aura Gems into the Helmet. 6.4.2 Body Armour
Spoiler
Any generic Life/Resistances Body Armour will do. If possible, we want “you can apply an additional curse” and “#% increased effect of Offerings” (Offering Effect saves 5 passives on the tree) Budget (Decent) Late Game (Good) End Game (Great) Crafting: Check Section 10 6.4.3 Wand

The higher Minion Life and Minion Damage rolls, the better. The Lower the chaos Resistance roll, the better. But any Rolls will do to start with. We don’t need any specific Anoint to make the Build work. I would recommend going for a defensive Anoint like Testudo (cheap! If you are missing a bit of Block chance), Prismatic Skin for +2 max all Elemental Resistances (quite expensive with silver+gold+gold), Whispers of Doom (if you are missing the additional curse on your Chest), But any another Anoint will do too. 6.4.6 Gloves

In general, we want Jewels with “+# to Maximum Life”, “Minions have #% increased maximum Life”, and ”#% increased Damage if you've used a Minion Spell recently”. Best approach to craft the jewels are Ghastly Eye Jewel Bases. The iLvl is not that important, since only the max Life stat has a level requirement (T1 is 82+). To get Max Life and Minion life, you want either to spam Harvest Reroll with higher chance to hit Life mods or Fossil Crafting with Pristine Hitting the Minion Damage stat is pure luck :-/ 6.4.11 Cluster Jewels
Spoiler
Budget (Decent) Late Game (Good) End Game (Great) Details and Crafting
Spoiler
The Cluster Jewels Have the potential to provide a lot of Damage for us. Our Medium Cluster should have 4 or 5 passives and our Large Cluster should have 8. Medium Clusters Your main Damage Cluster Jewels are Medium Clusters that give “Minions have 12% Increased Maximum Life” and these Notables: Hulking Corpses Minions have 25% increased maximum Life Raised Zombies have 5% chance to Taunt Enemies on Hit Feasting Fiends Minions have 10% increased maximum Life Minions deal 10% increased Damage Minions Leech 0.4% of Damage as Life If possible, we want to use two of those Medium Clusters. Crafting To Craft the Medium Cluster, you can either Chaos spam or use Harvest Reroll with higher Chance to hit Life Mods or use Pristine Fossils _______________________________________________________________ Large Cluster Pure damage increase with a “Minions Deal 10% Increased Damage” Jewel with these Notables: Feasting Fiends Minions have 10% increased maximum Life Minions deal 10% increased Damage Minions Leech 0.4% of Damage as Life Raze and Pillage Minions have 20% chance to Ignite Minions deal 20% increased Damage against Ignited Enemies Minions gain 6% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage To have both Notables “in the Front” you want a third Notable. any other will do. Crafting: To Craft this Large Cluster you could either Chaos Spam or Fossil Craft with Aetheric + Bound + Scorched 6.4.12 Flasks
Spoiler
Besides the Rumi’s Concoction we are free to use any Flasks. With enough Chaos Resistance you can safely use a Forbidden Taste Flask with “Used when you take a savage Hit” Enchantment (You can craft it on your Bench) All other utility Flask can be crafted with the “Used when charges reach full” Enchantment for massive QoL. You only have to worry to use your life Flask when you take a really nasty hit. Since we are Elemental Ailment immune, we only need Flasks to get rid of Bleeding and Poison. Desecrate, Bone Offering, Summon Stone Golem Socketed in: Weapon (Wand) Desecrate / Bone Offering / Summon Stone Golem Note: Since we are using “Trigger socket gem when you use a skill” on a weapon, the order of the gems in which they are socketed is important! Desecrate must come before Bone offering. Meaning when you look at the sockets in the Wand you should socket “Desecrate” in the topmost socket, then Summon Stone golem or “Bone Offering”. If you socket Bone Offering before Desecrate, you will not have the corpses to be consumed by Bone Offering. We do not need to level Desecrate, Level 1 is fine. Spoiler
IMPORTANT: With 3.23 The SRS Gem lost “Minions deal 38% More Damage”, which is a huge damage loss for us. At the Sametime they introduced Transfigured Gems, which somewhat counter the Damage loss. You will want to Swap your regular SRS Gem to its Transfigured Version at some point either during campaign or early Maps. Note: For the Leveling-Skilltrees and Gem Setups checkout the PoB Note: Drop the “Infernal Legion Support” as soon as you have the “Tavukai” Amulet (usable from level 54) Note: Swap the Regular SRS Gem to the Transfigured Version “Of Enormity”, either as soon as you get it, or whenever you feel your Damage dropping of. IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that it lowers the max number of active Spirits to 6. You need to be careful to not overcast it, meaning summoning more Spirits as the cap. Doing so despawns the oldest Spirits, causing them to not explode! You maybe want to drop Unleash at this point, which should enable you to still sapm cast SRS without getting to cap. Not much to say here since you can basically start levelling with SRS. Levelling with SRS is a bit slower than you will see some Streamers race through the story. As soon as you get Minion Instability and the Infernal Legion Support paired with some Minion Life/Damage from the tree nothing is a real challenge anymore and can safely and smoothly roll through the acts. During leveling (and later on) Essences of Fear are your best friends, since they give us minion Damage (Weapon/Gloves) or Minion Life (Armour/Belt). Whenever you find one, use it. - Levelling Trees and Gems are included in the PoB - You can start levelling with SRS right away (after “Breaking some Eggs” Quest) - Directly path to minion Instability on the Tree. - Link SRS with Infernal Legion and add Predator and minion Life as your fourth Link -- Drop Infernal Legion when you get your Tavukai (Wearable at Level 54) - add Unleash, when you get it, dropping Predator - Swap The Regular SRS Gem for the Transfigured Version “of Enormity” as soon as you get it or when you feel your Damage dropping off. -- Take care when casting SRS to not over cast it, you maybe want to drop Unleash here. - readd Predator as your fifths Link - This will carry you all the way to maps - Add utility Gems and Raise Zombies, as your gem slots allow it. 9.1 Gem Setups per Act

Any Base with Evasion works, preferably Evasion/ES or Evasion/Armour Stats you are looking for on the Helmet - +# to all Minion Skill Gems - Chance to Suppress Spell Damage - Increased Mana Reservation Efficiency - Maximum Life - Resistances The process is similar to the Boots, but we need to use Essence of Loathing for "Mana Reservation Efficiency" 1. Get a Base with Fractured "+# to Level of all Minion Skill gems" 2. Use Exarch Ember to make it the Dominant Influence 3. Use Esssence of Loathing until you hit "Chance to Suppress Spell damage" and either a) a good third suffix b) an open suffix 4. clear Prefixes using Eldritch Annuls 5. craft "Suffixes can not be Changed" 6. (Optional if you have an open suffix) 6a. Two Options: -> Beastcraft "Aspect of the Spider" -> Harvest Reroll Chaos (to force Chaos Resistance) 7. remove unwanted prefixes using "Eldritch Annuls" 8. use Exalted Orb to fill prefixes (you can block unwanted mods, eg. mana by crafting it) 9. repeat 7+8 until you have at least one desired prefixe (beside the +# Minion Skill Gems) 10. either craft "+# Maximum Life" or "#% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as fire Damage" 11. Use Eater of Worlds Ichors until you hit "#% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency" 12. Use Exarch Embers until you hit "Minions have #% increased Maximum Life" Body Armour

Spam Essence of Fear until you hit a Spell Suppression roll you are comfortable with 2. (Optional: if you hit an open Suffix) Fill suffixes Vairant a) - Craft "Suffixes can not be changed" - Harvest Reroll Chaos to Force Chaos Resistans Variant b) - Beast craft "Aspect of the Spider" 3. Clean Prefixes - Use an Eldritch Ember to make him the dominant Influence - Use Eldritch Orb of Annulment until there are no prefixes besides the Fractured Life 4. Craft "Suffixes can not be changed" 5. Use a Veiled Chaos Orb 6. Craft Mana 7. Unveil something useful (Chance to avoid Ailments, #% increased Life, max Life + #%inc armour/Es) (if you miss the unveil, go back to step 3) 8. Replace the Mana Craft with anything you need Wand

Any Base with Evasion works, Evasion/ES or Evasion/Armour Stats you are looking for on the Gloves are: - Chance to Suppress Spell Damage - Minions Deal #% increased Damage (Both Implicit and explicit) - Life - Resistances - Stats 1. Use Eater of World Ichors until you hit "Chance to Suppress Spell Damage" Boots
Spoiler
Any generic Boots with Spell Suppression are fine, preferable Evasion/ES or Evasion/Armour We can either Craft Boots with Minion Life or avoid Elemental Ailments. The process is the Same, only the Essences we use are different. For Minion Life we use Essence of Fear, Elemental Ailments we use Essence of Loathing Stats you are looking for on the Boots are: - Chance to Suppress Spell Damage - #% increased movement speed - +# Maximum Life - Resistances - Minions have #% increased maximum Life or - Chance to avoid Elemental Ailments 1. Get a Base with high Fractured "Chance to Supress Spell Damage" 2. use Essence (Fear or Loathing) until you hit One Good Suffix besides the Suppression and the Essence mod 3. Replace the crafted Mana with either max life or movement speed, depending on what you unveiled 11. Use an Exalted Orb (close your eyes) to fill Prefixes 13. Use Eater of World Ichors for "Chance to avoid Elemental Ailments" Implicit 14. (Optional) Use Exarch Embers for good Implicit, eg Movement Speed or "Chance to avoid beeing shocked" (if you are using Stormshroud) Rings
Spoiler
I'd recommend Vermillion or Amethyst Rings as Bases. To get the wanted affixes you need Redeemer Influence on both Rings The Crafting Process is the same for both. What you are looking for: - Maximum Life - increased Minion Damage - Increased Minion Life - Resistances - Stats (if needed) 1. Craft Maximum Life and Minion Damage using Fossils: Aetheric + Bound + Pristine (1/45, for both stats to be at least T2) Or Bound + Pristine (1/62, for both stats to be at least T2) -> If satisfied and Open suffix, continue -> If no open Suffix, but open Prefix -> Beastcraft suffix to prefix -> if no open affixes, yolo annul 2. Craft "prefixes cannot be Changed" 3. Scour 4. Craft Multimod 5. Craft Minion Life 6. Craft Resistances or Stats as needed Shield
Spoiler
Our main Stat for the Shield is "Recover #% of Life when you Block". To help with ES sustain you also want "Recover #% of Energy Shield when you Block" Both mods can come from Shaper Influence, but also from Crusader (ES on Block) and Warlord (Life on Block) The only way to guarantee both stats is using Awakener Orbs. All other approaches are RNG heavy. Besides the recover stats we are looking for - +1 to Level of all Minion Skill - #% increased Minion Life - Minions deal #% increased Damage - +# to maximum Life - Resistances - (Open Suffix for "Avoid Elemental Ailments", if needed) Option 1: (Recover life only) 1. Get a Shaper Influenced Bone Shield 3. Fossil craft with Corroded + Pristine + Sanctified + Shuddering (1/9, with a decently high chance for other usable Minion Mods) Variant 2: Recover Life+Es 1. Get a Base (Bone Spirit if you go for Additional Minion mods, else any other) with Shaper, Warlord or Crusade Influence with one of the Recover mods 2. Get a second Base with one of the other Influences and the corresponding other Recovery stat. eg. -> Base 1: Shaper with life on Block (Bone Spirit) -> Base 2: Crusader with ES on Block (Random Base) 3. Awakener Orb the Random base onto the desired one 4. Hope for good mods beside the Recovery stats. 11. FAQ

- I read that Guardian or Scion is better for SRS! Why are you going with Necro?!
Spoiler
The discussion if Guardian, Scion or Necro is better SRS is only relevant for the non-Minion-Instability Version. For the Minion Instability Version (this Build) Necro is by FAR the best Ascendency. Details on what we get from going Necro VS Scion and Guardian:
Spoiler
Necro We take: Mistress of Sacrifice, Mindless Aggression, Bone Barrier and Commander of Darkness (plus the small nodes): - 20% more Max Minion Life - 70% increased Minion Damage - 20% increased max minion Life - 10% more Max Minion Life - 15 of Damage delt by your Minions is Leeched to you as Life - 10% reduced phys Damage - 30% all Res - 9% increased cast Speed (depending on the number of Auras you have) - Offerings effect us (36/36 Block with Bone Offering) Scion: When going Scion we lose: - 20% more Max Minion Life - 100% increased Minion Damage - 20% increased max minion Life - Bone Armour - 10% reduced phys Damage - 20% Life and ES Recovery Rate - 30% all Res - 9% increased cast Speed (depending on the number of Auras you have) Guardian: - Radiant Faith and Unwavering Faith, both make our SRS die slower. - Harmony of Purpose: Power, Frenzy, Endurance Charges on Hit -> our SRS die fast, they don't benefit from charges - Time of Need: 80% reduced effect of curses, 30% Life Regen every 4 Seconds -> Good, a bit of defence - Bastion of Hope: Stun immune if we have blocked, 10% Spell Block, 50% Attack Block every 5 Seconds -> We are 75/75 (with Rumis) That leaves the stun immunity, nice to have. - Radiant Crusade: 20% all Res, Onslaught, 10% more Damage -> only Good node so far - Unwavering Crusade: Allies have 20% increased attack, cast and Movement Speed, 30% AoE, intimidate and Unnerve Enemies -> Only the AoE is relevant. The Explosions aren’t attacks and don't deal Spell Damage, so intimidate and unnerve do nothing for us. Small Nodes: Bunch of Armour and ES, 20% Increased Minion Damage - Why don’t you use Infernal Legin? PoB shows more DPS!1!!
Spoiler
The DPS shown in PoB are inaccurate in here. Infernal Legion only makes our SRS take some fire damage per second in addition to the Chaos damage they take from our Tavukai Amulet. So all Infernal Legion does is making the SRS reach low life quicker and therefore popping earlier (within a shorter amount of time). Therefore, the DPS (damage per second) is seemingly higher. BUT Every SRS That’s pops deals a set amount (a range to be exact) of damage, therefore our damage is not limited by the time the SRS take to pop but on the number of SRS we cast in a certain timeframe. It doesn’t matter how fast our SRS pop regarding the total Damage amount of damage we deal as long as we don’t reach the cap of 6 (or 20 with normal gem) SRS at a time. The only benefit we get from using Infernal Legion is a faster ramp up time to reach our full damage potential. BUT At the same time we miss out on a Support gem that could give us up to 40% more Damage. Some (not to scale) graphs: (behold my paint skills!) - Is Using Minion Damage Support really that bad?
Spoiler
Yes… We only gain Damage from it when it is at least level 13, prior to this we even lose damage: -There are no Resistances and Stats on the items in the PoB?!
Spoiler
Correct. I don’t want newer players to think “oh! I HAVE to get those 30 Lightning Res on that Ring”, "I have to get those 25 Dex on the Boots" Just get your Resistances and Stats wherever you can fit them. Poeatlas.app Last edited by Weo_ on Mar 28, 2024, 4:35:11 PM

Hi !
This is an interesting build of yours, as much Minion Instabiliy users favor Skeletons over SRS. Nice use of the unique amulet ! Maybe you should consider using Wave of Conviction instead of Zombies especially with this helmet enchant of yours ? It slows your SRS but not much as you use unleash so it should be fine. Anyway, I think you should pick Elemental Equilibrium and add Orb of Storm/Storm Brand somewhere, it would help you quite much for bossing speed. (The "of adrenaline" suffix doesn't grant the Adrenaline buff, only some %move speed. You do have 16% physical reduction from Endurance charges though, so your flat phreduction is a bit higher than your estimate!) |
|
" Thanks for the tips. Wave of convictions is an option yes, just liked the plystyle of "not needing to mind" ;-) But I will give it a try. EE with a Brand or Orb of Storms isnt a bad idea either. Would need to free up a socket, so either use a Unsetring or drop Fortify. you are absolutly right regarding Adrenaline. Will fix it. This was nonsense
Spoiler
//Edit ~Thinking of EE, since SRS deal fire Damage by default and our main dmg source is the explosion of the SRS which also deals fire Damage, I would have to hit every Pack with something else before I can cast the SRS. For Bosses that should be fine, but mapping speed could suffer quite a bit from that. Or am I missing something here?~ Poeatlas.app Last edited by Weo_ on Nov 29, 2020, 10:01:29 AM

You'd need to use the lightning skill for all mob packs, so it's probably not worth it; as I'm not sure of what your edit means, I remind you that only you have EE, not your minion, so it's no problem they hit mobs with fire damage before exploding.
However, if you use Wave of Conviction, you deal fire damage, so you'd want to cas WoC and OoS/Brand right after it; it's more dps in theory than zombies, but maybe not in real use, especially as it means more casting time, so less SRS. Anyway, I was thinking that maybe Combustion would be better than Elemental Army on your zombies (you'd still need added fire damage though) as it lowers the resistance by 19% instead of 10, and with all zombies having each 49% chance to ignite, you're sure to have 100% uptime on bosses. Maybe using your zombies 5L in chest with both elemental army and Combustion, and OoS/Brand in the sixth slot ? That'd be a big damage boost, but you'd have to drop Fortify or guard skill (or use guard skill manually) Other option would be Wave of Conviction with Combustion, Hextouch and Flamability, so you could put Storm Brand in your wand and proc EE quite easily. But then you need two slots for Zombies + Feeding Frenzy, so again, either cast you guard skill manually or drop shield charge. Maybe having all five Zombies+Feeding Frenzy+Shield Charge+Faster attacks+Fortify all linked in armour and Molten Shell unlinked in the sixth socket could do ? That means two new skills to use manually (Wave of Conviction and Molten Shell), but according to PoB it more than doubles your boss damage. Not saying it's better, but it's worth considering ! |
|
" completly forgot that minions don't prog EE. My Bad " I could add a Profane Proxy Ring in my left slot with Flamamability. Storm Brand in the Wand to trigger EE. 5-Link Zombies (Feeding Frenzy - Elemetal Army - Combustion - Added Fire Damage) in the Chest. that would free up the Gloves/Boots there i could put Shield Charge - Faster Attacks and Guard skill - CWDT there. Dropping Fortify should be fine. dropping one of hte rings means loosing 25% increased Minion Damage and a bunch of Life. But still could be worth it. Poeatlas.app

" tried that setup. Works great. Have yet to kill the big bosses, but Bosskilling speed is definitly faster. I will update the Guide accordingly. Poeatlas.app

is it a good starter league for Mayhem? Does it work even without the amulet?
|
|
" Yes, its absolutly viable as starter in the mayhem League. But the Build does not realy benefit of the greater mob density, so when you wanna push the ladder I would recommened considering a "zoom-zoom" Build. " Yes the Build works without the amulet. While using the "Burning Legion"-Support Our SRS will take damage and explode. Not using the Amulet just means that the SRS take less damage, therefor take longer to explode, and we loose some of our damage because of the Minion Life and Damage on the Amulet. Poeatlas.app

The PoB seems to be out of date compared to the information presented in the first post.
