I want to share my experience since I think I am at the end of the path for carrion golems. It's kinda sad and pleasant at the same time. My POB currently shows 26m+ DPS (yes with vaal haste enabled :D) per golem so well over 100M total. Since I am very very new (2nd league) to poe and pob that's probably not the final number when configured properly. The only place where my character can die is 100% 17+ Deli maps if I suddenly decide to afk in the middle of 100 monster attack wave. Otherwise it's pretty much invincible.
I do not think that pushing it further is smth a casual player should consider since it's gonna cost a mirror in each gear slot to get even little upgrades.
I think that most of us here do like that "one hand playstyle" without flask piano and panic mode always "on" and that is why I did stick to golems.

Now my thoughts on the build. This is the place where I want to help others who think that 100% t17+ maps are good place to use this build. It just isn't. The way golems deliver dmg is very bad for the beyond fully juiced t17s+. I don't know exactly how much my build is worth but it's past 1000ex thats for sure. And for this currency there are a lot of builds that would demolish this content. Selfcurse HH occultist comes to mind. Ofc you could switch to SO spectre also and that would be better.
For every other piece of content this build is a blessing. Bossing is a joke. I rly worry that I would forget all boss mechanics using it since you just don't care. Ordinary maps (even 100% deli t16s) are as fast as you can run. All this with just one hand on the mouse.
It's insane for what I am using it: BP farming. I swap div vitality in helm for div anger (to get that sweet sweet moving speed with enhance lvl 4). Also I take out maim and clarity from boots (clarity should go to wand instead of precision) and put in anomalous phase run + anomalous increased duration. Getting 15 MS increase while using Grace on Watching eye is also a good idea. After that I just fly with permanent phasing between wings. One thing could kill ya - you didn't pay attention to that mod "-5% to player max res per 25% alert lvl" and on the way back just casually ran through active lasers (as you always do).
I would rly like to thank Hemzokuken who started this thread and other guys who contributed. I would never be able to come upo with this myself so I took bits here and there from the builds in this thread. Also, while we are on the matter of thanking Hemzokuken I want to express my frustration that he was afk when I was trying to buy his chest :D.
If it makes you feel better - Hemzo was complaining to me that he was afk while somebody tried to buy his chest. All his testing has left him a little broke and he could make good use of the currency :')

Find a way to get Enchance lvl 4 instead enlighten in helm. Div vitality there also is insane dmg boost (one ailment immune easily achieved by watchers eye). Change belt for Torrent recclamation or full ES crusader crystal belt if you need ES. Buy awakened support gems for golems. I would also argue that changing skitterbots for awakened generosity would free up enough rmr to do all my suggestions and make you deal more dmg and be more tanky overall with all the changes.

great write up. After reading u use anger I checked ur profile to try and figure out ur gem setup and for the life of me couldn't figure out where the hell ur POF was lol. Finally saw it on ur ring and was like oooohhh after going over all ur gems multiple times lol.
Gonna give the div anger a shot for some heist shenanigans, thx for the rec.

Here's where my gear is at currently. 4.7k ES, 400% aura effect, 212k armour, transcendence on, 90% all resists and virtually immortal. I tried my very best to die, but I simply can't lol.

Actually can tank uber elder balls no issue at all. (though the fucker killed my AG haha.
Will try to record an afk kill tomorrow!
Running 15 auras and an aspect. Can run 16 np, but needed a socket so removed precision since it doesn't do anything for frost auto bombers.
DPS is lower as with SO, but not much lower and you are not locked into triad grips, you don't have to reposition them at all and they are much more sturdy.
