So the price difference between a 6 passive medium and a ilvl 84 6 passive medium is about 40 ex or so. I understand this is for the fact 84 can roll "Passive skills have 35% increased effect" versus lower level jewels having 25%.
Why is that 10% increased effect that much more valuable? I'm guessing because it makes it easier to get 300+ Aura effectiveness by making each passive give 8% aura effectiveness instead of 7?
I want to go pure physical Carrion golems. From what I've read, Cold Iron Point dagger is the biggest damage boost for that type of build if you have enough Aura effectiveness % and enough Auras in total.
Can I reach that without spending 40 ex per cluster jewel? I was hoping to go 5 medium cluster jewels in my build.
I have about 175 exalts to spend.
Also, I was really hoping I could go Scion, since I haven't leveled a Scion since back in the day when they FIRST came out, and we were all running around leveling through Ledge -> Felshrine -> Docks with our Ethereal Throw builds lol.

And that's not overlooking that as of this posting, there's only 1 Divergent Determination 20/20 up, and it's for a mirror. =/

So a 25% with first among equals will be...[(6x1.25)x4]+10= 40
a 35% without a first among equal...(6x1.35)x5=40.5%
So the answer is no, you don't really need it.
But then why do people get it, its because you get to change the prefix from a first among equal to something else like Flat es.
Or some aura bots need to to stack attributes will want the 35%.
Or the dream feather build they want to stack as much fire res as possible.
But for our builds here, no its really not needed, except for some quality of life and min maxing.
also just buy a divergent determination that's lvl1 not corrupted.
it's like 12ex

Yeah I was being retarded and had the search set to Standard for some stupid reason.
I know we talked a lot yesterday, but can you remind me why you said Witch would be better for golems? The appeal of going through Scion again after years of playing is pretty strong. I like the idea of more points and if it's not an ENORMOUS tradeoff to go Witch since I'll be using Phys carrion golems I'd like to.

I said the witch would have a easier time to gear up and the scion would only be better if you invested a lot more compared to the witch.
So the main benefit for being a witch was the +2 to all.
But scions have 5 more skill points and also the guardian ascendancy which would enable them to run transcendence, which makes this build kinda the closest to being immortal. Also perma onslaught for your minions.
If you want to go golems as scion, the most maxed out guy I've seen would have to be "wwr". you can poe ninja builds and see how he is putting it together.
I have no experience with carrion golems with scion so I can't comment on it.
And also, to everyone who's been posting here regularly, theorycrafting and continually pushing the edge (some people 1000-2000 exalts??! Wow.) and the 'mad scientists', thank you as well.
This thread is probably one of the coolest things I've seen in PoE's history, and i've been around for quite a long time.

agreed, thread is awesome and i had great fun theorycrafting stuff with hezmo and turbo at least - and stalking nano for more crazy ideas!
and while i probably did spend around 1k~2k ex altogether over the league, a lot of it is trying stuff, adjusting and reselling stuff.
I don't want to scare people off thinking they need this kind of currency to be a god - you don't. But just like every aurabot, you can invest many mirrors and keep getting upgrades - and that's the fun thing about this build!
falagar112, I did some testing in delve and can say it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's not proccing on every pack but not so rare so I would call this useless. An upgrade 100%. Thank you mate! Great idea.
