[3.13] Aura Stacking Carrion Golem Cyclone curse on hit Variant | 45M-Sirus DPS
Hello 3.14 has nerf the carrion golem builds. Is this still good? any change on the build?
| |
" We did/do get a (small) hit in DPS, it will still be playable. Although I don't recommend carrion golem - aura stacking as a league starter. With all the changes in drops, crafting, and overall rarity changes of some items... It will be quite difficult to get all the gear in week 1 of the league. I also tweaked my personal build quite a lot it would be easier to make a new build guide as to edit this one with the new tweaks. (Tweaked build with more DPS and survivability -> check my character "MinionFear" -> mostly missing awakened gems for DPS and some min-max stuff like a better helmet,... etc.) There's no doubt other and perhaps better carrion golem builds out there for 3.14 I recommend checking those. As in the DPS of this build, it will probably be around 30-40% less -> approx 25-32M dps left. Carrion golems also have less AOE so clear speed on high-tier maps is not ideal. |

I did put it in the new 3.14 pob. The damage did get a little bit lower but not very much. It is still strong. Can you recommend any change? Cause i really want to try this build

" This is the POB of all the (personal) changes I made on the build: https://pastebin.com/aRK38yvr The only downside, we lose blood magic in 3.14, thus our specters (1 host & 2 carnage chieftains) can't cast their power and frenzy charge buffs (for allies) as frequently as with blood magic. -> I replaced blood magic with mana leech, but it's still a lesser version of gaining those charges than before. On the bright side in the new 3.14 updated POB version, DPS is 3 to 4 times more than the (old) guide/POB on page 1. (84M Sirus DPS) Most changes I made are in the tree, and some gear swaps, also went "low life" with Chaos inoculation, which gives us 1 HP and chaos immunity). All sources of reduced mana reservation are mandatory to be able to reserve all auras. -> everything goes on mana, because of CI. Vitality amulet, shield, and helmet are the hardest to get/craft I haven't figured out if these are possible at all to craft in 3.14. -> make sure you have the reservation on them, High ES on shield & amulet, + (2-3) socketed minion gems, and all should be good. -> reservation on helmet = redeemer (mod) or delve drop mod. -> reservation (socketed gems) on the shield is a shaper mod. -> anything else is a bonus in DPS or defense. Gloves are fairly easy to craft, once you have synth. base with vuln. on hit; spam essences, for high ES, we don't need the strength anymore... Things that break the build: - Not having aspect of the avian. - Missing auras (mostly dps loss if you prioritize purities) - Unique items -> they work like a charm - Missing reservation - Misplaced gems/links ---> check skills in POB for links, NOT THE GEAR/ITEMS! - Not having curse on hit (gloves) -> you basically cyclone for nothing if you don't. - changing the tree -> only 5 points to spare Any questions feel free to post them here, however, I'm not going to check this page often during 3.14, so sorry in advance if I don't respond quickly. Please also don't PM me, I probably ignore it, because I like to play and enjoy the game too. The best of luck in 3.14 and may the mirrors rain from the sky! |

The build is awesome. What stand do you leave flesh and stone?
Also i did not see flesh offering? about the blood magic it was change into 2 new gems. life tap and arrogance. Is mana leech then still better? | |
" Thanks! Blood stance it is for the "maimed enemies take % increased phys dmg." Although for the current Ultimatum mechanic you could use Sand stance as well, less damage is handy if the content is more "rippy." Just keep in mind it's only "attack damage" so anything else still hits at "full power" regardless. -> if/when you use Animate guardian set up with the "blind redeemer mod" armor a lot of enemies are already blinded anyway... so you take less damage anyway. As for the specrtes and "blood magic" Even though it wasn't obvious at first, Lifetap support should work on our spectres in the same way blood magic did. (in theory) They won't gain the "Lifetap buff" though, which I assume is for extra damage from the skill... So you can replace mana leech, with it. |
