" Where are yall getting all this impale from? I'm sitting at 63% in the hideout. Just kidding! I was looking at normal attack, not flicker strike... Does that mean I can drop swift skewering? Last edited by nbriles2000 on Mar 8, 2021, 8:26:32 PM

Hello,
Thought I'd provide a review of this build - I have now played the #### out of this build, mix-maxed, have done all content and also leveled to 100 (mostly doing maps and not rotations). I can say this is the best build I have played considering the balance between damage (mapping and boss), speed and survivability. For information - previous builds I have played: - Chieftain BB/BF [3.13] - Champion Impale TS [3.7] - Hierophant Arc Totem [3.3] - Elementalist BV [3.3] - Necromancer Low Life SRS [3.1] - Pathfinder KB [3.0] - Slayer Ngamahu Cyclone [3.0] - Raider Frostblades [3.0] How I assess the builds I play: 1) Can do any map mods (except reflect) - I am a simple chisel & alch player. I'd like to play builds that don't need to reroll map mods unless it is physical / elemental reflect. 2) Fast mapper - Self explanatory 3) Not a glass cannon - I like to level and not die to random 1-shots. Can't play builds with amazing dps but terrible defences. 4) Boss Killer - I normally only make 1 to 2 builds a league. I place very strong focus on builds that can be both a boss killer and a fast mapper. Furthermore - minimal gear change between mapping and boss damage is a must. 5) Not reliant on HH buffs - Don't like playing with builds which rely on HH buffs and 3x inspired learnings to be effective. 6) Scales well with currency - Because I only make 1 or 2 builds a league, it needs to scale well. Build Strengths - Does and excels at 1) - 6) - Many minor variances in the passive tree possible depending on level of gear. And the fact that they all work! As I upgraded my gear - I had to tweak the tree multiple times, was good to see each tweak basically led to an improvement. - Few key pieces of gear (min-maxed version) can be self crafted (can also be a build weakness / pain). I had a lot of fun crafting some of the gear for this build. I am probably saying this because I have been very lucky in crafting through harvest - been relatively cheap. Also know people who have sunk a lot of currency with the same gear and not getting anything in return or costly significantly more. Build Weaknesses - Any damage over time ailments (burning, poison, etc) and or damage ground effects. Build doesn't have a high life regen rate and with blood rage usage, it is very dangerous. It is not a problem with mobs around where you can life leech off but if there are no mobs and you're out of flasks - you're as good as dead. I have died a few (only a few) times on my way to Lvl 100 like this. Could probably solve through some specific flasks but I like the flasks the way i have them setup. - Reduced Regen and or No Regen Maps. Dangerous to do. Need mobs to leech off to survive the degen from blood rage. I personally run them anyway [see 1)]. Have had to take out blood rage a few times during the leveling to 100 to survive when there were no mobs. - Expensive build entry from my experience. Note - I came into the build at the medium/high gear mark (aka replica farrul's fur, Aul's, 2x impale Watchers Eye etc). It played very well from the get go and I had no issues with frenzy charge generation on bosses. While I have never played with the entry/budget gear - it does seems like a bit of work / gear tweaking is required to balance frenzy generation. Around weapon speed and multistrike support I believe. - Probably cannot do Uber Atziri. Personally haven't tried - might be able to get it to work with Sibyl's Lament and Patheon. - Some bosses (position related), easier to do with double strike swapped in. For example - I have done Maven with flicker strike (still an easy kill) but not deathless like with double strike. - OH - you might get dizzy with Flicker Strike - for what it is worth, I don't actually look at my char but the map! Summary All in all, thanks for the build - had a blast, especially with talking to the more knowledgeable contributors in this thread for squeezing out that extra damage min-maxing! I never thought a flicker strike build can get to this level - last time I played flicker was probably a couple of years ago and at the time - it was only okay for clearing and completely unusable for bossing. Probably considered a meme spec - have times changed! Furthermore for those who are interested in what this build can do min-maxed, a couple of showcase videos: - T16 Mapping https://youtu.be/mgMn0JEhpY4 - A9 Sirus https://youtu.be/NNxSdVHxPf8 - Maven https://youtu.be/fmsm3ZKcK_Y (swapped out Flicker for Double Strike) - Redeemer https://youtu.be/upFFrNJnINg - Crusader https://youtu.be/H6tYLxraGtc Will add a 100% Delirium Map (personally don't like doing those) and an Uber Elder video later. Happy to show other bosses/ map counters as well. Last edited by tMShubar on Mar 10, 2021, 2:24:29 AM

I've been pulling my hair out trying to craft a sword. Does anyone have any tips?
I currently have a fractured t1 flat phys mod. Trying to hit a high % roll on the regal... |
|
" Best tip is don't do it. But also, you can alt/aug into Merciless + Celebration (T1 Speed) then regal, if the regal is something removable you can fill out suffix with BS (non-phys/non-speed) and aug phys/rem add phys until you hit dictators (T1 hybrid) or flaring (t1 phys to attacks), you then remove the 3rd BS prefix and try to aug another good phys roll.
Got Farrul`s Fur replica in heist. Does it rely necessary to build ? Because i have many pieces to upgrade. Should i save it, or sale it ?
| |
" I would say use it for sure. it's one of the best end-game armours in the entire game not just for this build :D
Problem Fixed, nvm.
