Crafted this armor but curious as to what you guys would do to it

Craft fire res, and augment life.
Then remove defences, and augment cold.
Remove add cold till you get t1 phys taken as cold, it'll only take 1 try on average.
Remove-add life is then a good option, but it's very expensive to get a good roll. Once you have your cold damage prefix, you can craft anything as a suffix, doesn't matter.
Thanks for cool build. I am thinking about to change my tr - pf char to this build. What do you think for how many exalts do I need to spend for necessary equipments to run t16 maps?
Hey, cool build.
I'm a pretty experienced player, but on a pretty tight schedule these days.
i'd like to convert my TR PF to this, and i don't expectvto min/max the build totally but what items would you say are mandatory, outside of Indigon, to grab in order to get the build rolling reasonably smoothly in regular red maps and non-Uber invitations?

Would just grabbing all the budget options still feel decent to start with? I basically just need some cornerstones to get and start building from, and casually farm up further with it, the priority being getting the tank done first and good clear.
I farmed a headhunter with this build, trying to actually upgrade my stuff but poe.ninja has too many different direction, I can't fit everything.

1. How important is chaos res, I have -60 :p I see people getting some here and there, but I don't think they're getting 60+75. If I wanna do maven, sirus and some of the uncharted invitations, what's a good goal?

2. I see people are moving away from Phase Acro and into armor/shield/block, what is the difference, like why/when should I go Phase Acro?

3. Which timeless jewel should I go for, I see people going rage/lethal pride, but then I also see glorious vanity. What's pros/cons for each?

4. People are going bow, is that better than mace/mace? When is it better, is bow a lot more expensive?

My plan is to farm a bit more on this, upgrade and probable convert to dedicated boss killer so I can switch builds up for mapping.

Almost finished with my armor. What suffix should I try and go after now?

%life?
chaos res?

will have to run some divine orbs through it

Probably 20? Maybe doable for less depending on what you already have. The OP is very extensive in describing the items that you can use on these kinds of characters. Just add up the costs. See my next reply for what I consider to be essential and add the costs of buying the required level 20+ gems.

The "bare minimum" imo is indigon, explody, essence worm, hrimburn OR conversion watchers, 2 sceptres with hatred effect mod, GOOD flasks. You don't "need" unnatural instinct, threads of hope, +1/+2 amulet, GG sceptres, crazy maven-elevated chest to start with - you can work your way up to those items. The original posts (and the whole of the last 10 pages tbh) go into detail about how you can craft a lot of these items yourself.

IMO you can't "get the tank done first" because the items that make this build tanky require the most investment.

Thanks, that gives me a good idea what to get/target for now.

edit: WOW i'm dumb, i forgot about the berserk gem LOL. tldr is chainbreaker and divergent berserk gives you 20% more damage, 20% less damage taken, and 30% more movement speed.

Agree

I started this just recently on about 10 ex starting budget. I absolutely love it and i'm nowhere near min-maxed (probably 20-25 ex spent so far?).

What you should be prepared to buy to get it started:
Indigon, Essence Worm + Cluster Jewels and Unnatural Instinct.
Explody-Chest is very important for clearspeed but the build "works" whiteout it (but get one asap!).
You don't really NEED cold-conversion gloves... Any conversion will help but Hrimbuns are cheap anyway)

What you should get next:
Watchters-Eye and the other Unique-Jewel are both big upgrades (eye for damage, jewel for quality of life).

Thats how far i am atm.
I have a bit under 5k life/3k Mana and run beefed up T16 Guardians non stop. If i don't fuck up big time and have bad luck (crit/big dmg roll on a Slam), they are an absolute joke. This build is far from a glass cannon even before you actually do the defense investments. You can choose how tanky you wan't to be --> Saffels frame vs DW Scepters.

Just now started on my Chaos-Res to get it really tanky (and still trying to unveil the frigging cold-conversion on gloves... Got Fire and Lightning several times, still no cold conversion in sight :D)

I love this build.

Imho the buildguide does itself a big disservice by showing of such dang EXPENSIVE ITEMS, it discourages newcomers hardcore.
This works on a tenth of the budget showcased in the build guide. You have to dodge the big Slams but thats about it, all else this is perfectly workable on an explody chest/Indigon/saffels Frame/essence Worm/Flasks/Cluster-Jewels + rares to cap your res (non chaos), it just can't facetank everything like that. Theoretically you don't even need the explody chest (but get one, asap).
I searched for a weapon that is "kinda" following the Guides example... The cheapest one was over 20 ex and that was a far cry from the one depicted in this guide, let alone the amulet and other parts. It's seriously discouraging to look at it ^^.

My profile is public, feel free to take a look how it looks on "poor" people ;).

edit: I just traded my ass off to do the chaos dmg taken thingy... so looking at my profile most like doesn't help anymore ;)
I also lost 1k Life by this, so i'm no sitting at 3980... t16 beefed shit, still no problem.
