"Hey Protamine! I haven't seen that chest before. I like it! 5% increased damage taken is actually a lot. Damage taken for users and enemies is done at the end of the math calculation...which basically means it's done after perks like increased crit and such. BUT there's a possibility that you won't even notice it! The other mods on the chest are really nice for the build for sure! I say use it unless you die too much. I also wanted to ask about Solstice Vigil Onyx Amulet. It's relatively cheap, about 20c, gives 30-40% damage increase and shaper presence (doubtful useful). But the best thing, that it allows to рфму temporal chains as an aura for free. So we could always run with temporal chains, enfeeble, discipline and frostbite. As well as replace CWDT chain with frostbite with something else, maybe additional layer of defense, not sure what could that be actually :)

I mean, you'd miss out on Attributes, ES, and resists that a decent Rare would give you but mana reservation has such a strong value that being able to run all three curses and Discipline likely easily makes up for the losses. Also, it'd free up an entire 4 link for you to have fun with (which you mentioned)! Hey, Wrecker! I've been dying to try a CI build for years, but never had the self-confidence to theorycraft one out. I was considering running up this build, as I've been enjoying Trigger Happy so much, but a thought occurred to me. If it's all about applying curses and laying down DoTs, would Bane be a good choice? So, I took your existing tree and moved a few points around to accommodate a big chaos DoT instead of cold. I was wondering if you could give it a quick glance and tell me what you think?

Hey there. I've switched a few things around and read over this thread with much interest and appreciation. Thanks everyone for replies and posts.
Something's always bugged me, mainly because of my inexperience with this game- why do you have frostbite twice? I get that you pointed out you have an option of auras to switch to/from but aren't those slots wasted? would you not want to replace the whole 3 linked blues on CWDT (curse on hit, frostbite) with immortal call for survivability or despair for more damage? Thanks! |

"Hey Zephyjackal! I'm glad you're enjoying Trigger Happy so much! I love Bane. It's perfect for me. I love curses. And the Quality of the gem is just like CoH or Blasphemy. So good. Unfortunately, it's a skill that is only really strong in endgame content when it's combined with other skills. I like the passive tree that you sent. That's likely what I'd do as well. "Hey Ephemeral_Dreams! Good question for sure. We only have space for 3 curses. So adding a 4th curse would overwrite one of your other curses. So Frostbite CoH link could be a waste if you're running all three curses as your auras. If you are though, the CoH link can still curse enemies that aren't in range of your blasphemies. But, if that drives you nuts, you are welcome to replace the gems with anything you like. So if you're running all three curses as your auras, and you make changes to the CoH gems, let us know what you choose to do! (Frostwall. And yeah, Trigger Happy is freaking amazing. Without even particularly good gear, I'm plowing right through maps, this is the second-highest level character I've ever had, and it was effortless. First time I ever killed Act 10 Kitava without dying! |
