Last Epoch latest patch feels really good

Oof. This thread has been dead for a year :D Who's looking forward to season 3?

TBH i want to be hype for this new season.

theres many things that LE does which cater to me much more than poe.

such as

1. can enjoy seasonal content on "standard" without being forced into a reset league.

2. abundant crafting currency that encourages me to craft my own gear

3. crafting doesnt require a PhD, and crafting tho having an RNG aspect can produce pretty good results even if you dont get what you want.

the only reason why i m not too hyped is the existence of aspirational content that actually drops some BIS gear.

i m fine with aspirational content if it feels optional. but the gear simply is just that strong.

in a ways you feel forced to use a meta build, or else you have to live with the knowledge you're likely not going to clear the boss.

the end game becomes just another poe.

i might as well play poe at that point.

tho LE still has time and room to grow/change.

The game lacks lasting appeal, unfortunately. It also suffers from the high skill level (no, not that) issue - some skills, like rain of arrows (don't know how it is called in LE) have an unreasonable requirement. Same thing in PoE 2 actually. Playing through the start of the campaign while lacking more than half of your toolset feels really bad.
Now I understand why invulnerability phases are necessary. The new bosses died so fast I don't even know what they do. The last one in particular was trying to interact with the portals before keeling over. Well, what can you do. I guess it is refreshing to see a campaign which is the complete opposite of the PoE 2 one.
Alright, feedback after playing during the weekend (likely won't play any more than that):

- there is nothing added to the endgame. For some reason the LE team is redesigning masteries - something that should have been done before the game's release. All the work went there I bet, and now the endgame is literally the same as it was during the previous league;

- the league mechanic is very boring. It might get you excited at first until you realize the beast is not that interesting and trudging through the cave for every evolution is a slog. The cave and the associated ancient bones should not have been a thing to begin with.

- the power creep is off the charts. The scaling for Beastmaster companions in particular is insane. To wit - Storm Crows were nerfed before the league started. I've never used them before and I am currently having an unoptimized build without LP uniques. The moment I almost instantly deleted a harbinger at 150 corruption I realized that balance is not this game's strong point.

- which would not have been an issue if the endgame was not so boring. To progress I need to improve the corruption of every time zone. Doing the same thing over and over and over again - for the chance of facing a single pinnacle boss - it's just not worth it.

The only reason to play more is to try a funky build. Thorns is now a thing and multiple classes can do it. Forge Guard can apparently use exploding flying weapons. And the Necromancer can revive an abomination which eats t-rexes. Let's not forget the new dual dagger wielding melee Lich.
