[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!
they released the new alternate quality for Reckoning today. It looks cool for this build (assuming we don't get nerfed into the ground with the expected recovery on block changes coming)

" Oh yea would be awesome indeed!! I hope this build doesn't get nerfed too badly :(
" I am really nervous. Most of the community thinks Glancing Blows will get hit hard but some are hoping that the lack of harvest uber crafting in the new league may temper the nerfs. I am eagerly awaiting a manifesto and patch notes. |

Build looks great, i very well might league start it in 3.12 if glancing blows doesnt get hit super hard.
I must say though, i really dont enjoy incinerate. Your tree is mostly devoid of "fire" damage" - it seems I could adapt any of the channelling spells? divine ire has better clear(and its fun shooting a big laser) only 1.5 mil slotted into your build as is(switching flam for conductivity. Looks pretty easy to get around 2 million damage in a 6 link scorching ray or a balefire. (note that the vines double damage would not apply to this) Flameblast around 2 mil. there seems to be alot of options, maybe even non channelling? any ideas or anything you've tested with? BV? Bladefall+bladeblast? i guess even cyclone cast while chanelling? I'm very intrigued with this build, it seems like it could be trimmed down and basically an armor/aegis aurora template to be adapted into any skill you want. Incinerate does seem one of the highest POB DPS's for the build but i just cant stand the playstyle. Thanks! |

" Hey, While I did make this build with Incinerate in mind, ofcourse it's adaptable to your taste :) I think most of the elemental spells would work for this setup. I have personally tried Scorching Ray myself and it actually worked quite well, although I would then recommend speccing into Elemental Equilibrium and use something like Orb of Storms to trigger it, as this would increase the damage by quite a lot. Be careful with non-channeling though, as I'm not sure the mana regen we have would suffice for spamming some of the higher mana cost skills. Greetz
" I will add that I also did not enjoy using incinerate until I added infernal cry. The war cry changed the feel and effect of the skill dramatically for me. |

I don't know where we could squeeze it in but the new skill Frost Shield looks kind of interesting for this build as it provides damage protection for casters who stand and channel like we do.
A video is here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2933919 Frost Shield Frost Shield creates an icy dome on the ground at your location that protects the caster and their allies from enemies. When cast, it rapidly consumes your energy shield at a flat rate for one second and will grow in power and life based on how much energy shield is drained. The skill provides protection until it runs out of life. Frost Shield will protect you and your allies from a small portion of enemy damage if they're within the shield or a large portion of their damage if the enemies are outside the shield. All enemies close to or within the shield will also be chilled. Additionally, while you're inside Frost Shield's dome, it will provide added base critical strike chance. This makes it great for defensive positioning on bosses, letting you take cover within the sphere and unleash hell as long as the shield holds. " one possible choice, if this skill is good, is that maybe it could replace Cold Snap in our CWDT setup when we are using only one curse? Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge on Sep 8, 2020, 10:47:14 PM

i have been completely unable to maintain the tankiness and get any other combination of skills, supports and tree changes to give me anything over 2 mil DPS.
Any ideas or are we just stuck with incinerate? |

" Hey, Sorry, as I said earlier, I did make this build with Incinerate in mind. Scorching Ray would be an ok option, but since you will not be "hitting" an enemy with it it would take a way some of the "on hit"-effects this build gives. I guess you are stuck then :) Greetz |
