I have been testing 2 routes. One of them is a FPS Drop friendly change, the other one an experimental more DPS change.


FPS Friendly Change:

* Swap Chest Colour setup to 6B
* In this 6 socket setup, we are using Firestorm, Awakened Spell Cascade, Spellslinger, Ele Focus, Conc Effect and Awakened Spell Echo
* Swap main Gem to Firestorm, instead of Volatile Dead
Since no more corpse are needed to spawn Volatile Dead, we can remove the
Desecrate Spellslinger 3L setup.
* Instead, on that 3L we will use Spellslinger with Combustion and Wave of
Conviction. This was previously into the trigger wand, which has a 4 second
delay CD.
---> that change alone, makes the Uptime for Conviction/Combustion grows exponentially
* In the wand, we will keep Bone Offering for the Block mods, and we will add desecrate, so that we still get corpses every 4 seconds in order to activate offering.
* The last socket into the wand, is free for now, I have not think anything yet, which makes a real difference.

- This new setup has a pretty decent DPS output, you have a really good Map Clear, an awesome Lifeleech and an Okish Boss DPS. Its also availiable to play T16 100% delirium maps, so far so good.

The greatest advantage, is that Firestorm is absolutely FPS drop free, so you can play with barely same gear and same gems (but spell echo) and get rid off the FPS drop.

DPS Output Change:

* Weve got a 14% mana reservation naturally from our normal Tree
* If we add in top of that a 6% mana reservation amulet
* If we add another 8% mana reservation from Charisma annointment into the amulet
* And if we finally get a Cirlce of Anguish ring,with HoAsh buff effect, but also perfect roll (40) into HoAsh mana reservation, together with 20% Life/Mana quality catalyst (48% reservation).
* All this together, makes the mana reservatino cost of HoAsh become 6%
* If you don't have 6% reservation into your neck, you add a 2nf anguish with reservation, which will cause Hoash reservation is 0 (Vs 6 previously), so that can replace the amulet affix at the cost of another 6% dps from that newly removed %fire dmg mod

* In the other hand, in the chest we move back to 4B 2G sockets, being the 2G Volatile Dead and Vaal Detonate Dead.
* When you add Detonate Dead, to the build, but all together with all the previous Mana Reservation changes, you total unreserved mana is 1% (about 11 mana points)
* That 11 points of mana, become a problem, because you cannot trigger with 1 single Flame Dash not even the lowest level Arcane Surge support, so you need 2 Flame Dash every 4 seconds to be bale to proc arcane surge. Thats not good.
* So, in order to be able to fix this problem, we have to add into the build a 1% mana reservation gem (for example, one of the cheapest ones is gonna be Calamitous Visions)
* Now with that final 1% more mana reservation, all together with some weird PoE calculation (odd way to calculate half point values), we will jump up to about 35 mana points unreserved.
* Finally, with 35 (aprox) unreseved mana points, we are able to play so easy with all the spells we normally use, Barrage, Shield Charge, Flame Dash, while we dont even need to have -X mana cost for non chanelling spells craft into the amulet. (instead we are able to craft AoE Dmg/AoE)

-- This change, makes you lose a total of about 6% DPS from the Anguish %Fire DMG mod, about a 7.5% from the Arcane Swiftness Annoint and about 34% from the loss of Awak Controlled Destruction.

---- In the other hand, we add to the build Vaal Detonate Dead, we get a new spell which procs at least 5 times per Cooldown Cycle, with a Spell DMG value of about 45% MORE over new VD DMG Value -----


* Overall, DPS seems to be higher, but the testing is still going on. Stay Tuned *

Hi guys, i just switched to that build. Somehow i don´t get the mechanics for single targets....if there are multiple mobs, the killspeed is ok, but if i am facing a big HP single target (Bosses) i almost do no damage, VD seems not to be activated at all. What am i doing wrong?

The general direction is alright, but there is some major flaws currently which you have to fix:

* IMPORTANT: You skilled into elemental equilibrium without having the right Glorious vanity Jewel
=> Read the guide on this part again. You can for now skip the jewel (while the Chaos resistance buff helps SOOO much, but still, you can skip it for now), but than you HAVE to get rid of elemental equilibrium, this will totally f* you up ;-)
* Almost all your gems are still pretty low-level, you have to get them to max asap
* Due to the low-level spellslinger and the missing CDR Stat on your boots, you have not yet reached the required 69% CDR for Spellslinger (which is your #1 problem on Single Target DPS)
* Probably due to missing lvls, you have currently NOT specced into Spiritual Aid (but you already have +Minion dmg on your gloves, which will simply do nothing for you, as long as you you don't have Spiritual Aid)

These are the major points I saw and fixing those will leap you forward quite remarkably.

Besides that and based on your budget, here is a list of stuff, that will get you forward quite well:

* Get a +2 inpulsa, this is quite some DPS buff
* Get awakened Gems. The Dual curse setup is a really remarkable DPS buff, the awakened spell cascade is BIG QoL buff
* There are various items with nice DPS stats which you are currently not using (Boots with fire dmg lab enchant, helmet with fire dmg or nearby enemies have -9% fire resistance, various dmg modifiers available for belts, better increased dmg against chilled on gloves

So that's a good overview I guess. I tried to keep the tips in the order in which I would follow them, so that should get you going.

- Yea the gems are pretty low, as i just bought them from vendors after i decided to play another Necro Build ;)
- Will check the EE thing - thanks for pointing that out, i didn´t check that
- i think i will need to check the CDR more than expected, wasn´t aware that it is that crucial
- 1 more Lab missing, yes :) (and that was the reason why i was asking for the single target damage, as i´m not sure how smooth it´ll be)
