[3.16] LL VD Spellslinger | 8.2 k ES | 75%Block / 75% Spell Block | not recommended anymore
Quick question - will this build be viable with decently high investment, considering nerfed harvest crafting in the next league?
I am looking forward to trying out a spellslinger build, with an endgame upgrade option of this build.
" Oh boy. This is a very expensive end game build. You can't level with this, you need to respec into this. Also, it's kinda hard and time consuming to craft Harvest stuff with SSF (if you can trade only 100 crafts to finish all, you're lucky I think). Also the mandatory lab enchantment is almost impossible in SSF.
" Dont try this build in SSF. Stay with the usual SSF builds like Detonate Dead, Bladeblast, Vortex, Cyclone. " Personally i think this build wont be viable next league. I will put a [STD] only tag on this guide as soon as 3.14 hits the server. Last edited by zzang on Mar 16, 2021, 12:08:49 PM

Can anyone complete these instructions for a tripple elevated mods version?
Whats the best timing for using the maven orbs? Starting my craft here: " Last edited by Etralis on Mar 17, 2021, 4:16:23 PM

" Arent you happy that Harvest gets nerfed? Why do tripple Maven helm now :P? Jokes aside here is what i did. 1. Hypotermia lvl 20 and 3% spell crit suffixes as base and then Maven for 100% Maven one suffix and losing the other 2. Craft back the lost suffix and aug a influence prefix. Now there is a 16% success chance to Maven off the prefix and elevated the right suffix. 3. Once suffixes are done you can do r/a infleunce/reforge/meta craft whatever is the cheapest in current situation for lvl 20 conc effect. Aug influence again as prefix and do Maven again for 50% success chance while Suffixes cannot be changed is crafted.
TYVM!! :-)
" Im a bit stuck here: The first Maven orb elevated crit to 4% and removed Hypothermia. Now i keep augmenting cold but always hit useless mods. There seems to be no bench craftable cold prefix to block something at least... And i cant bench craft a cold suffix for blocking cuz that would be the 3rd suffix and block hypothermia... Is there anything i can do to increase my chance to hit Hypothermia again? Or simply keep spamming remove cold ... then add cold again? edit: I guess i remove the cold ress, then bench craft a random (3rd) suffix and use harvest to augment 2 removable prefixes and then remove the bench crafted suffix and augment cold again till i hit Hypothermia!? I dont understand how we had a "guaranteed Hypotermia or Innervate" on step 7 of the instructions... Why coudldnt we have hit a cold prefix like flat cold damage there but now i can hit it? " I think you'll have to remove crit/caster to get rid of the crit and start over. Not sure what zzang was saying, I think you have to elevate hypothermia and not crit cause crit can be gauranteed augmented but hypothermia can't without blocking cold res. Maybe zzang had something specific in mind I'm not thinking of |

" R/A Cold can still hit Hypotermia. The problem i see is that you elevated ATTACK crit not SPELL crit. There is another approach for more gamble i cant tell which one is cheaper in the end as Maven Orbs are 45ish exalted in standard. The gambler approach requires you to hit Hypotermia+Influenced prefix and then maven for 50% chance if you are unlucky with this doing the approach with r/a cold to get back Hypo is probably cheaper (if it was spellcrit that was elevated with my approach). If you maven Hypo first for example you need to block prefixes with removable non caster affixes and then do r/a caster for the spell crit. When you hit Hypo first with Maven it is the cheaper approach. For both approaches its beneficial to fill the helm with removable prefixes. In case you try to hit Hypo non cold prefixes and in case you hit caster non caster prefixes. Last edited by zzang on Mar 18, 2021, 2:53:37 AM

Haha, i didnt realize my crit was attack and not spell ...
Damn, i wasted 45 ex maven orb on that - but hey i guess I deserve it for not being concentrated enough ... Only learning when it hurts :-)
Would please advice how I can enhance this wand:
Thanks, |
