I suggest you take the time to read the mechanics and gearing up sections, it will help you understand what you need and why. For example, your Lion's Roar don't provide you any benefit as we are not dealing physical damage. Your annoint is also wasted, as you allocate an (excellent) node you can easily grab with normal pathing. If you don't want the extra survability of Smashing Strikes, annoint Frenetic. Most of your rares look okay-ish, so next big upgrade is probably the fortify oro's. You can work on your gems too to smaller goals, you really want at a minimum 20/20 on every main link gem, 21/20 or awakened gem being even better. @OneRaid Read through the defensive mechanics sections, it should help you to understand how you could improve your current character even on another ascendancy @BroPeep +1 strike gloves just can't be beaten if there are 2+ targets in range, period. That said, corrupted Worldcarver with either +1 frenzy charge or +0,5-0,8% to base crit chance are a solid choice for mapping in the 20-50c range. @andrelb1 Unlinked corrupted Oro's can be found from 10c, https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Heist/LB075Bun Linking it yourself will cost anywhere from 800 to 1500c depending on currency rates Hard to reply without a comparison point. If the gladiator build you are referring about actually features solid defensive layers (75/75% block + spell block, solid HP pool, Surrender's regen on block and some %phys reduction) then it should feel roughly as survivable as our 90%+ evasion + dodge/spell dodge in stuff like simulacrum or delirium maps. 75% spell block is even better than our 50% spell dodge for bosses like Sirus or Uber Elder. So you can compare rough DPS at similar gear level to get an idea of how it would perform. I'm doubtful you can easily get all of the above + very good DPS at the same time. Also check for QoL stuff, like actually using melee splash (clear will be subpar without it), corpse destruction, and movespeed. Gladiator should be quite slower without all the extra frenzy and onslaught bonuses from Raider ascendancy. Last edited by Heinarc on Oct 20, 2020, 2:16:22 PM

I've already fixed oak by changing boots, noticed that after posting, btw really thought lava lash is ok annoint because of 8%fire pen. Also up'd accuracy to 100 it went much better.I'll try to farm for those awakened gems untill someone sell me corrupted Oro's. Thanks for info!

Hey dude, have been having fun on this build on Yellow maps. Just need a load of levels. My rings and body armor are begging to be changed out though.
I wanted to ask something regarding cluster jewels - for the medium one specifically. What's better... Master of Fire or Cooked Alive? In your 5 exalt section, you say Master of Fire, but your PoB says Cooked Alive. Also one additional question - does it ruin anything for us if the monsters have a chance to ignore elemental ailments in maps? |

" They are equivalent, both will give you 10% fire pen. Get the cheapest you can find (alongside Cremator). " It just lowers the frenzy generation you get from your Oro's, but you still have some from the Flicker strike gem and the Raider ascendancy. It can lower the single target DPS if you are a bit undergeared, but thats it, other than that no big deal. Hexproof or +40% ele resistances are more noticeable IMO. You just want to avoid to run multiple mods like that at the same time while you are a bit low on gear, as such maps can become tedious. You'll eventually get enough to one tap everything even in those maps. Last edited by Heinarc on Oct 20, 2020, 2:23:19 PM

Hey hows it going. I love the build but i think i am at a wall and not sure why i am having a hard time with killing guardians and conquers with the build. The only thing i dont have is the helm. Mine has the lab enchant on it. Here is my pob, https://pastebin.com/S3vfE7qA any help with what i have wrong or why i cant kill these bosses please let me know. I have read the guide and looked over everything twice. Just about to the point of just breaking the guy down and selling the gear.
Edit - Just put on A wiseoak and the watchers eye with anger . so going to see if this makes a huge difference Last edited by Frankcastle03 on Oct 20, 2020, 5:57:54 PM

" What exactly are you having trouble with? Browsed through your POB, the only thing off are your flasks, and apparently you fixed that. Note that you'll need to have fire as your highest resist get benefits from the Wise Oak, use Atziri's while you tweak it. Are you having trouble in content like wave 20 of Simulacrum, or is it specifically with bosses? Here's your POB with proper flask and proper config tab : https://pastebin.com/3YSr6XLL I see you at around 2.5M shaper DPS, 3.5M with DPS from totems, and Watcher's Eye will give you a good 10-12% more. It's enough to quickly burst through conquerors/guardians (they have around 30M HP, so 10 to 15s fights in real life conditions. Map mods come on top of that). I notice your HP pool is not extremely high at 5000ish, you are still in the one-shot range of some boss abilities like phoenix explosion or baran's shotgun, so you can't just ignore those, you have to try to dodge them. Correct sequence for a burst of single target DPS with flicker is : - drop ancestral warchief (18% more dmg for 6s with the Vaal one), then ancestral protector x2 - activate Vaal Grace (putting you at 75% dodge/spell dodge for 10sec) - pop all flasks, warcry will activate off cooldown if it's on your left clic - flicker the guy down. Refresh flasks and repeat. Leap slam out if a dangerous ability is coming. If fight is single target, you can replace Melee Splash with Ruthless for 50% more dmg. I don't think there is a need with your gear, but it can help. The other option is to just gem swap to cyclone, and take your time. You'll have less DPS that with flicker, but it's much easier to dodge dangerous abilities, so a longer fight is not an issue. Last edited by Heinarc on Oct 20, 2020, 8:06:01 PM

Just wanted to say, I really loved the build during Harvest and am currently leveling up a character to play this in Heist. As my first build I've ever played to maps and a new player I really enjoy it. I wanted to ask whether you have ever tested Avatar of the veil and would suggest it over the onslaught ascendancy.

@OneRaid
You may want to swap your ascendancy to pathfinder for the extra survivability and since you can't make use of the impale effect from Champion due to dealing no physical damage. This will also allow you to optimize your tree by removing the un-needed passives that provide minimal benefit. If possible you may want to try getting an inspired learning for the jewel socket on the far right of the tree. You can also swap out your cluster jewel for one with 8 passive skills, feed the fury, fuel the fight, and a third notable passive that would benefit you like martial prowess, surefooted striker, or smite the weak. (You also could split them up between two large cluster jewels so one has feed, and the other has fuel so you can get a greater selection of other notable passives.) If you do get feed the fury you can drop the blood drinker and frenzy charge to put the passives to use on the bottom in a similar fashion to how the normal build shows. I would also suggest that until you get the corrupted oro's with fortify that you socket fortify instead of combustion because that would also increase your survivability. If you haven't already you may want to swap the bandits for 2 more passive points if you can get the little bit more of cold resistance you are missing or if you trust in having your oak flask up all the time. Instead of anointing tribal fury you may want to buy the gloves that strike one more additional enemy and then anoint smashing strikes for the endurance charges on crit. Also % max life Vermillion rings will help survivability. Modified tree based on what I said (minus jewels and gear and changed passives due to those) https://pastebin.com/c3NggKDC Of course this is all based on what I think so feel free to take it with a hand full of salt Last edited by XenonKnight on Oct 21, 2020, 6:10:31 PM
