" That's what I expected too. Since you can't create more than 10 corpses per desecrate, which can only fuel 3 regular VD or 1 with cascade, I expected cascade to reduce you overall damage a lot but I tested it and it's not so bad. With cascade, my max attack speed can reach 6.7 per second, compared to 4.8 or so without. You do get a lot more explosions and you ramp up so much faster. Overall damage is definitely lower against bosses, maybe 10 or 20% lower not more, but clear speed is much better due to bigger area and more balls. I think using cascade for easy maps and switching to elemental focus for bosses could be a decent idea. That said, I'm too lazy for that and you never know when a Krosis will spawn in the middle of a random map.
Hello!
Thank you for making this build. I love this game but hate dying bc it sets me back so much and I don't have a lot of time in my hands (baby, job, etc. etc.) Questions: - Why Blade Blast? - Can I replace it with something else? (colors are hard to get) |
|
This is a great build, i can do so many bosses, but just 1 question.
You say this can tank LVL 8 sirus without moving so why am i dying from being 1 shotted even at lvl 5 from maze part even after using rumi's ( i hit just under 50k armour with Rumi's )?
" Blade blast is optimal, but it's not the only thing that would work. The reason for Blade Blast is the Unnerve debuff which causes affected targets to take 10% increased spell damage. It's not huge, but every bonus is welcome. Aside from that you can use any spell that hits and ideally you want one that is an AOE spell too. I played around with some options like Blade Vortex and Bladefall but you want something that is hitting enemies far away (so Blade Vortex is not great) and the debuff from Blade Blast is great because you're not really getting any meaningful damage otherwise from this gem slot. The trigger sequence is get hit: trigger CWDT lvl 1 - this then triggers any spells we have linked so long as they are level 38 or lower (so you can use Blade Blast, Firestorm, or anything else you like) - then any target that we hit with that spell is affected by our Curse on Hit gem and Flammability (high level). You can use any spell you like to apply the hit and therefore the linked curse. In regard to socket colours, I don't think there is any red colour spell gem that could be used so it would be either green or blue which I imagine is going to be a problem for you. I struggled with colouring my chest for ages and ended up getting lucky with Vorici's bench and converting one of the red sockets to blue. If you don't have the three socket colour recipe from Delving and don't have a bajillion chromatic orbs, it's definitely worth elevating Vorici in the syndicate and using his crafting bench. |

" I just did lvl 5 Sirus last night and only died once due to poor positioning where I got drained by the edge of a storm and didn't realise till it was too late. My setup is not exactly like the OPs and my gems are not fully qualitied just yet but I was able to facetank that slam OK. You're character is hidden so I can't check, but are you manually casting Molten Shell or do you have it on CWDT trigger? Ever since I moved it to manual casting it has been a much better play style for me. |
|
" How much life do you have? And do you (manually) cast molten shell? For Sirus it's important to have self casted molten shell. With 50k armor it will bemore than anough to facetank maze without taking much damage if you press molten shell right before impact of maze blast. |

I have 7k life & yes, i need to take out CWDT at sirus, ty :)

" Well, taking out CWDT will disable outocast of bone offring - and that's not good either :( It's optimal to have "spare" 3l+1 item that you use for Sirus(easier for helmet or boots - they are cheap anyway). 3l CWDT bone offering etc and unlinked molten shell. Or just socket second molten shell somewhere. Last edited by TwiceBorned on May 12, 2020, 6:22:37 AM

so leave my boots with the set up, but get another pair but with 3L & 4 sockets. Put Molten shell on to the single socket & put tempest shield, bone offering & CWDT in other sockets correct?
