[3.10] Volatile Dead Tankomancer | Facetank with eyes closed | Farm t16 while eating pizza*
" Damn, this build isn't about 6l VD at all! :) It's about using VD in poet's to free tons of sockets and mana for other things. (and not lose that much damage cause poet' give +3 to gem lvls and proc 2-3 times as often) Last edited by TwiceBorned on Apr 29, 2020, 11:23:52 AM

Just want to thank the Op for the guide and build. I cam back to the game this league after getting bored of dying to supposedly unkillable builds. Found this guide the other night and started the process of switching a witch to this build. Really smooth for gearing and the gameplay suits my needs. One hand whislt drinking beer and watching twitch on my other monitor. Havent died yet, but im still in low tier maps. Face tanked uber lab is my most notable achievement so far with this toon. Im looking forward to seeing how far i can get this character.
I have an empty red socket in my chest, is there anything that i could fit in there that would benefit me, i was thinking of maybe an awakened curse on hit gem but what red curse gem would be suitable (i couldnt think of anything). Last edited by matthew24906793 on Apr 29, 2020, 3:44:10 PM

" Thx for good words... And about red socket - that's common problem, sadly. You need only one red in chest(difficult, I know), second is mostly useless :( |
|
I just started this as my 2nd char on SSF.
I do have the wand and the shield and some Cluster Jewels, but rest of gear I don't have. I guess most gear are replaceable, but question is: jewels, will I be able to face tank without the Timeless Jewels? (dont Think any of those will drop for me) /Onin |

" Well, you'll have harder time against elemental damage bosses. Elemental "hits" will still be manageble(block and all), but elemental DOTs (like shaper ray) will be harder to handle |
|
For the 'spare' red socket you could go with a couple of options:
Empower - will unfortunately raise your CWDT gem slightly but really not a problem, it will still proc often enough. It'll give you a marginal increase to your curse so you can squeeze out a little more damage Life Gain on Hit - every little bit helps, particularly if one of your barrage attacks misses due to an evasive enemy. Increased duration - for your curse to last longer against bosses. Helpful for bosses that use DOT mechanics and don't actually hit you all that often. Overall, nothing really game changing but at least there are a few things to play around with. For how I currently have my set up, I'd almost be better off with a 4 - 2 set up with CWDT - Curse on Hit - Blade Blast - Flammability in the 4 link and Enduring Cry - Increased Duration in the 2 link. It's so refreshing to play a build that doesn't need a 6-link! |

Just realised this is covered in one of the spoilers in the starting post, my apologies.
As far as I know I need 7.57 APS to fully utilize Poet's Pen potential with 14% CDR. Does this hold true for this build as well or am I missing something? Thanks in advance! Last edited by XenoPOE on Apr 29, 2020, 7:31:41 PM

" Yeah, that's some options, increased duration is, really, good one for some bosses, like you said! But increased duration won't help enduring cry much(at least won't increase charge duration) |

which is better for Sirus A8 fight?
my current boot or this one which has more elemental penetration but 2 red sockets (its mirrored so cannot recolor) was too dumb to realize that I couldnt recolor the sockets when i bought it. also, if the 2nd one is better (again just for the Sirus fight and not for map clearing)....what can i put in the 2nd red gem socket? thanks. Trying to make this my forever Sirus Killer Farmer | |
" Why would you ever use second boots for Sirus? Any reason to? If it's ele pen you could take second craicean boots and just enchant ele pen on them(do lab until you get enchant you need or just pay someone to do it or buy craicean with that enchant?)
