3.11 | Carry Me Golems | Carrion/Stone Golem Elementalist | Very Tanky and High DPS summoner

If we follow the guide what exact Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity will we need? I’m guessing 159 str/int but what about dex?

Sure, but you need to run a CoH if you plan to go Beacon of Ruin to get 15% shock

Is it really big difference speaking of ascendancy routes? Got a feeling, that the last 2 routes ain't gamechanging at all...

Bane has nice AoE and gives +1 free gem slot, but storm brand lasts longer and can be pre-casted on bosses, don't know what to chose.

By the way - thanks for such a detailed build, very nice work!

Hello guys!
I think I'm gonna try summoner build for the first time with this one. I got couple of noob questions, sorry if I overlooked something:
- The guide suggests 2 curses in the curse on hit setup, how do we adjust curse limit?
- Can we use Bane instead of curse on hit?

Ipdate on first question: Oh I see, whispers of doom anointment

if you have money, you can also use an awakened curse on hit. Once it reaches lvl 5, you can use it with 2 spells.

I don't mind spending points or anointing Whispers of Doom, I just like that you can enhance Bane with freed gem slot and Bane AoE seems better than SB/OoS etc.
But on the paper Storm Brand looks better as it provides longer curse duration and works with Beacon of Ruin.
Still wondering how significant Beacon of Ruin node damage wise and wouldn't Bane work with this node via confluxes from Shaper of Desolation?

Not 100% certain, but I believe Bane doesn't count as a 'hit' so it won't proc Shaper of Desolation.

Bane is 100% doesn't hit, but Conflux says all damage can ignite/chill/shock. Wiki though says "Conflux is a type of buff that causes hits from all combined damage types to apply chill, shock, and/or ignite".

I think I wouldn't risk it and would choose Pendulum/Paragon route, but if someone can clarify or test ailments applience with Bane it would be great.

P.S. This is like the first build that I liked leveling with. Since lvl 34 (started using Golems), it's the smoothest leveling ever! Bane fits really good in the rotation - you just tag the whole pack and move on to the other, Golems will do the dirty work. It would be sad to leave this skill aside :(

Hi,

In the build we are using Iron Cold Point daggers, but I'm wondering how a weapon like those (https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Delirium/5n9gopKCa) with empower lvl 4 would perform compared to the daggers ? Pros/Cons ?

Thanks.

It'd be much better to use a bow

https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Delirium/Q3LpQLRCw

then you can use a quiver that has +2% max chaos res and a bunch of life.

Wouldn't it be better to have "Minions Deal Increased Damage" over "Socketed Skills Deal More Attack Damage" or am I wrong?

https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Delirium/XmLyRdkTP

Also, I'd recommend Windshriek boots as an alternative for +1 Curse.

I'm wondering why my Stone Golems feels so slow. Of course I'm still just at lvl 84 yet, so there's a lot of skill points to get, but still, I feel like Carrion Golems attack so much faster then my Stone Golems. Problem is that Carrion deals less damage then my stone golems, so they struggle a bit in red maps, while stone golems works fine, but slowly. They do some nice slams, but often, i've to convocation them to me, then wait like a second before they dare kill the monsters in from of me...

Is it just because Stone Golems needs more Harmony (cdr) to be able to spam their abilities more ? If it's the case, I'll be able to grab another 3-4 sockets, will that be enough for them to be run smoother ?

I think i'm gonna grab soon 3x Large Cluster with Rotten Claws, Primordial Bond, Renewal and 2 jewel sockets if going Stone Golems or the same setup but Minion Attack Speed instead of Primordial Bond if going Carrion, is that good ?

Here's my pob right now :

Edit: the damage from Stone Golems feel OK, but they attack slowly

Quick question on comparing Stone Golem's Attack vs Cooldown calculations.

Currently I have an Attack/Cast Rate of 2.09 and a cooldown of 1.14s

So (1/2.09) * 3 = 1.43 which is higher than my cooldown so I think that I am good.

But now for my question, how does 'Flesh Offering' affect the calculations? When I look at my 'Flesh Offering' it says that it increases my attack speed by 27%. So does this mean that I multiply my Attack/Cast rate by 1.27 to get an adjusted rate? If so my calculations are now (1/2.65) * 3 = 1.13 which is just below my cooldown of 1.14 which is bad :(

Bottom line, is the way I am calculating this correct? Also is there a way to have POB take 'Flesh Offering' into consideration (such as some way to toggle it on and off)?

I know that it is an easy problem to fix by adding another Harmonie or removing an Eminence (currently using 6 Harmonies and 1 Eminence), but really just want to know how it works.

--- Ok I figured it out. When POB showed me the Attack/Cast Rate of 2.09, it is including the adjustment for 'Flesh Offering'. If I go to the skill tab I can toggle 'Flesh Offering' off and on.

You may want to try out the option: cyclone + cast w/channeling + desecrate + flesh offering. With +21% attack speed helmet enchant and cycloning around alot (so, 100% offering uptime). Then, golems seem fairly fast. To test, I ran a map without offering running and it's sluggish. I think helm enchant adds enough to be worth it too.
