[3.16] Coldslinger | Vortex | Creeping Frost | League Start | SSF | CI/LL
has anyone tried the tanky CI version yet, i feel really squishy in high tier maps right now with the normal CI build and I almost feel like the tanky CI would be better then swapping to the LL version

Correct, hexes aookied by your Frenzy only. That's the point. Frenzy hexes the target, frostbolt that follows spills vortex under the target.
OPTIMISATION for everyone. Buy yourself a frostbite ring, get rid of frostbite in 4L item and put Faster attacks. FA gives more AS and will free 3 passives you put into wand node.
" Before you completely respecc you could try: - get Vaal Discipline as OH SHIT button - Rumi's + Overflowing Chalice - Thread of Hope + Glancing Blows (Keeping max. Res will be a pain in the ass) Also I find Ethereal Feast very underwhelming and instead took Purity of Flesh and Faith and Steel. This league you either get oneshot or you are fine. Leech imho does not help here. You want a high ES pool and multiple defense layers on top. Last edited by Gixxpunk on Oct 28, 2021, 12:19:53 PM

" Hey Clydehart, great build am currently enjoying the shit out of it, have run every variation you've posted so far. Life Starter, no complaints runs great and works well for getting to maps. CI build, awesome damage output for pushing up into red maps. CI Tanky I ran into some DPS issues, but curbed them by swapping back to Rime Gaze and changing a few notables around, nbd we were popping 16s albeit slowly. But this LL build imo is much more versatile for running anything in the game than the posted one in your original post. Get this public! It has good defenses and still does a ton of damage. Might want to add a note for new players about the Keystone Energy Shield Light Area as an option for those blind as me, or the ring craft. Thanks for the builds! |

What flasks should i use for this build? Im still lost on the new flask stuff.
- Thanks | |
" Quartz Quicksilver Granite or Rumi's Sulphur or Overflowing Chalice Jade Stibnite Witchfire Brew
Thank you!

" You should reroll your quicksilver and also your stibnite flask. We are already immune to freeze, chill and stun from our ascendancies. -> Bleeding/Corrupting Blood, Poison, Ignite, Shock
" I would like to try this LL version, but I am still at league start CI version. May someone teach me how to transfer my build to LL in steps? What should I do first and what item can be changed later?
" - You'll definitely want a Shav's (at least 5L), Presence of Chayula and a Prism Guardian. Don't swap before you have at least these three items. Have a good deal of Regrets at hand, you'll need quite a few. - Presence of Chayula means stun immunity and a HUGE ES gain, but fewer stats than a rare Citrine Amulet with crafted stats on top. You might need to spend points in one or two of the +30 str / 30 dex nodes on your tree, at least for the beginning. Anoint Mind Drinker if Tranquility is too expensive. The mana on kill is maybe not even necessary, but fantastic for mapping. - One of the Reservation masteries (either Sovereignty or Influence, take those two clusters) has to be Increased Life Reservation Efficiency, so you can put three 50% Auras (i.e. Malevolence, Hatred, Determination) in your shield, otherwise it would not work. - LL means no Chaos immunity anymore, so I'd recommend a Crystal Belt with lots of ES, Chaos Resist and Strength, everything else is a bonus. (Determination needs 155 Str on lvl 20). Craft hybrid Ele/Chaos resists on anything you can. These should be unlocked pretty easily via Betrayal encounters. - Get the Melding cluster, the jewel next to it, and put a Energy from Within jewel there, should be pretty cheap right now. Also, don't forget to get Pain Attunement. - Your gloves have Vitality and Discipline linked to Arcane Surge. Unlink that and make it two 2L, you get nothing out of it as a 4L and the gems reserve more mana this way. - Try it all out in POB and see if it works. That's probably the best tip I can give you, if it doesn't, farm some more and gain maybe 1-2 levels, skill points are important for a lot of builds, but even more so for this one.
