Hi Wrecker!

I figured it out, just jump in combat and Violent Retaliation will raise block to 79%. Thank for your support. :D

I was wondering what the group thought of adding the Anvil amber amulet?

+(20-30) to Strength
8% Chance to Block Attack Damage
10% reduced Attack Speed
10% reduced Cast Speed
+(400-500) to Armour
+(34-48) Life gained when you Block
+(18-24) Mana gained when you Block
+3% to maximum Chance to Block Attack Damage
Reflects 240 to 300 Physical Damage to Attackers on Block

I really like my Carnage Heart right now, but 82% maximum block would be nice as well.

This is for my Thomas character.
Hey BabaYaga53021!

That amulet looks perfect for our build! Nice! Besides the lack of life and resists, and the reduced attack speed, that amulet fits well. So if your other gear makes up for the losses, I'd equip it for sure!

I'd like to ask which would be better: a Royal Axe have higher dps but a Runic Hatchet gives increased global p.dmg which also boosts our counterattacks' dmg (if I got it right). But is it worth the lesser dps?

Royal Axe
dmg 54–100 x asp 1.20 = dps 92.4
Implicit: none

Runic Hatchet
dmg 44–79 x asp 1.35 = dps 83.0
Implicit: 12% increased Global Physical Damage

I dream to craft that (170–179)% increased Physical Damage prefix on an axe, and any advice would be welcome.

Hey EliotMess!

For me, my personal preference is higher flat damage over Attack Speed. I do prefer the Runic Hatchet for crafting, but between the two you listed, for the short term, I'd take the Royal Axe.

Here's what you can do to craft one yourself:
- Find a Normal Runic Hatchet that's item level 83 or higher.
- Make it Magic.
- Use a billion Alterations until you have an increased physical damage % of 170 or higher (a Tier 1 roll).
- Then Regal it.
- Hope you don't get any added flat physical damage added to it.
- If the Regal'd axe lets you, craft the "Adds (20–27) to (41–49) Physical Damage" mod on it.
- If you can't add flat physical damage to the axe because of what the regal gave you, then start over.

Does that help? It's a long process but it's the cheapest way to get a really strong axe Exalt Free.

Well, I was eyeing Runic for the global dmg boost, rather than atk.spd, as I thought that would make the counter-attacks stronger (since they're my main dmg source).
And that's quite the detailed explanation on the craft process, saved me of wasting a ton orbes. Thanks Wrecker!

I use a Runic as well. All those little things like Spiked Gloves really add up. And thanks! Good luck!

Yo WoD!

Had some fun with a full physical dps ranger.
Indeed, way faster clearing speed but meh, its just like a leaf in the wind. So weak compared with this beast of a character.
So Im back to the awesome almost immortal riposter and to the plan of gathering 1500 fusings.
And of course, to get the recipe as I was not able to delve too much with the dmn huntard.
Upgraded my rings and added 2 new jewels. Not rly sure where to get more dps from, maybe a better sword.

Ps - I am quite noob with the pob damage calculation, how can I see my actual dps as I presume the ingame bladestorm tooltip aint that accurate?
The build works great. It carries me nicely this league. The only mob that killed me was Eternal Izaro with one powerfull blow, map mobs and bosses die quick enough not to deal any substential damage.
I'm thinking about buying Ryslatha's Coil to replace my chaos res belt. Just wonder if it's worth it dps wise. It's quite pricy :/
I heard it's good just for bleeding builds. How do you guys think?

Hey ninjakurulz!

Great to have you back :). I'm sorry the other build was "meh" though.

In terms of squeaking out your DPS, you've almost maxed things out with Rares. Your weapon has a great % increase mod and as a whole it's really good. The flat damage mod could be better...but only in a min/max world. Out side of that, you're starting to look at getting the same gear/mods you already have but having Influenced mods that help as well. Like "chance to shock on block" or "Enemies have % to Total Physical Damage Reduction against your Hits". That kind of stuff. It seems like that's the stage your at for grinding for gear.

In PoB, these are the things that I've put a check mark in to help with accurate-ish stats:

In the Skills tab:
- Enable Bladestorm
- Enable Blood and Sand
- Enable Flesh and Stone
- Enable Tempest Shield
- (Remember that Close Combat doesn't work in PoB)
- (Remember that the 3 Counter-Attack skills don't show their double damage in PoB)

In the Mail Skill section on the left:
- Select Pride
- Select Maximum Effect

In the Configuration tab put a checkmark in:
- "Do you use Endurance Charges?"
- "Do you use Challenger Charges?"
- "Do you have Fortify?"
- (Put "Rage" at 50)
- "Are you Leeching?"
- "Have you been Hit recently?"
- "Blocked a Hit from a Unique in the last 10 Seconds?"
- "Is the enemy Moving?"
- "Is the enemy Maimed?"
- ("Is the Enemy a Boss?" Select "Shaper")
- "Are you in Bladestorm?"
- (For "Stance" Select "Blood Stance")

Oh, and lastly, copy your weapon and add it to PoB.

I hope that helps!
