I have another question. The large, 10% increase damage, cluster jewel with Renewal, Vicious Bite and Rotten Claws currently costs around 20ex. However, the same jewel w/o Rotten Claws (a small passive instead) only costs 4ex.

Since this build doesn't actually allocate Rotten Claw, what is its purpose? Why does a min-maxed build need that? The guide states: "by not picking it we save a passive point". Does Rotten Claw offers the best 'order' of the passives? Is that why it's needed?

Also, it should be fine to just purchase a 4ex cluster jewel with just Renewal and Vicious Bite, right? Anything to be careful/cautious about?

You can pick whatever instead of Rotten claws. Whatever is cheaper. It is there so it can actually spare a point .

I didn't take a 3 cluster jewel and I lost 1-2 points, I cannot calculate because the tree in POe doesn't really show me the clusters.


Vicious bite and renewal are needed. Renewal for the immunity and Vicious bite for crit stacking end game. As double damage is better when you crit. Rotten Claw is good for phys skellies as the main mechanic for them to deal damage is to stack impale, much like any melee now days.

@sedeat01 - Pretty interesting that the belly gave more life - I'd have guessed the rare would give the most. You won't get mana gain from the Atziri though, so I'd probably suggest the rare one as well.

@quantumprof - Not exactly sure on this one to be honest. I believe the totem is considered something else, and thus would not work with a curse on hit ring for example. You need something for EE (totem does not work for EE), so it's probably better just to drop the totem idea.

@dmodolo87 - Glad to help! Good looking gear and tree - I'd buy a min-max quicksilver like mine: it's a lot of fun going full speed. In regards to your ring question, I've moved towards a frostbite/minion damage ring. They're quite inexpensive for generic ones with an open prefix for life. This only works if resists are capped elsewhere though.

RE the fancy cluster jewel...unfortunately that jewel isn't really attainable this league (at a reasonable price) - it was the last two league. The coming guide update will change that one out for a more reasonable jewel. Rotten claws/raze & pillage are not taken, and pretty much to save two passive points. A mixture of renewal (required), call to the slaughter, feasting fiends (pick two) will work just fine, and is what I'm currently rocking. I don't think I'll be going crit at all this league due to the high cost.

@Nihilum12345 - That's a nice one though, the best one I've seen this league outside of that crazy +1+2 one from earlier this league.

@Vendetta - Aim to get the "70% increased Mana Regeneration Rate if you've cast a Spell Recently" mod as a lab enchant for your boots. I miss this enchant greatly, but it should solve all mana problems.

Minor Guide Update.

Two videos added, A5 Sirus with more starter gear, and A8 Sirus. I've recorded footage of the unique contract "Breaking the Unbreakable," which will replace the Escaping a Heist one. Bigger update later this weekend.

The changeover to skeleton archers should happen tomorrow. Finally colored the chest (took like 200 vaal orbs...).

I also picked up a high ES duration chest, figured it was pretty much one of a kind, so I may try putting together a CI setup. In my PoB though, it loses a decent amount of damage to get to 8k ES (currently at 7.7k life+ES so CI just seems like a bad idea).

Should my next upgrades be a new chest with +2 duration (also what does the duration give our skeles? just wondering if i could get an explanation.)

I was thinking either my chest next or as another person suggested finishing up all the awakened gems...which ones are gunna be the best? I was thinking of buying awakened generosity first.

Oh though I'm open to suggestions.

It gives +2 level to gems with duration tag (skeletons are duration gem)
This might be a dumb idea but would running RF just to proc EE in places like simlacrums be awesome?
Skelly archers are a lot of fun so far. Similar clear speed to warriors, but I'm not sure on top end boss damage yet. While my gems are still levelling, minotaur took a bit longer than usual.

Duration chest as c3poe says is for +2 to skeletons, which in our case is 20% more damage. I'd say get the chest next if you can find a decent one for a decent price since at this point 20% more damage is hard to find without significant cost. Awakened melee phys is another 10% more (and an additional 5% more at level 6). You can pick up the cheap awakened gems, they add some damage and gives you some progress as you map.

RF sounds dangerous - we don't have a ton of fire res, nor built in regeneration.

Welp bought all awakened gems. Never blew through 1150C as fast before hahaha i guess next upgrades will be looking for that chest...or crafting it my self. If i should do it would the steps be finding a crusader plate ilvl85, alching til good rolls - annulling shit ones if needed ...divining higher rolls THEN exalt slamming ? (Ive NEVER crafted like that) I will look out for youtube videos...sorry for my questions !

RF can't hit so he can't proc EE. And rf is shit for this build, u will just die.
