EA 3.9 Ignite -- Cap Your Damage

Whether for clear or single-target, it seemed to perform much worse than either of the previous two quivers.

This could be because it lacks the +25% to Fire Damage over Time multiplier, or because the +1 arrow puts the damage over the supposed ignite bug cap.

How different is +1 arrow to 11% attack speed? And how important is fire damage over time multiplier? POB is reporting a 20K DPS drop per 5 fuses when I switch to the +1 arrow quiver (due to the missing 25% fire damage over time), but I would have thought that the increased number of arrows per second before explosion might make up or even surpass that. Have I missed something very obvious about the difference in DPS relevance between additional arrow, attack speed, and fire damage over time multiplier?



Fire DOT Multiplier is pretty important. If you happened to not have any other source of it on items, 25% would correlate to 25% more damage. Go with your gut on this one, I like Apocalypse Needle for single target more.

If you encounter the ignite cap bug you really do know because its actually making the explosion chunk enemies and then there is nothing happening after.

Another thing you can do if you have questions is use the damage calculator provided in the post, post your numbers and you can see the true dps of the setup and gear swaps. PoB damage means basically nothing for our damage. My tooltip says I do 14k ignite damage, and my ingame tooltip says 173. But my true ignite dps is nearing 90M ignite ticks (over 500m total for a single ignite if it didn’t cause the bug to do 0 ignite dps)

I've reached awakened gems spec and 54% Flask effect on tree, build feels pretty insane. The only thing, that i am missing - -9%res helmet.
Does it solve problem on maps with monsters immune or highly resistant to elemental Ailments? Got some interesting evening, on T16 with ailment-resistant fellow-metamorph.

Elemental Resist or avoid ailment?

Avoid ailment of 90% gets rounded to 100 and you do 0 damage.

Resist, yes it tends to help quite a bit but that hat you have is sick. I would not roll over it.

1. You always mention stun immunity in the post with ES + Divine Flesh combo but I can't seem to find the mod which says I would be stun immune if I have ES available. Where is this located?

2. Why are you using ignite prolif on endgame single target setup with awakened gems?

3. Are you sure about the awakened gems single target setup? Because my pob says Ele Dmg with Attacks is way better than Awakened Unbound. And why not use combustion instead of prolif?

Check the wiki (for Energy Shield or Stun). Ancient Patch Note from years ago.

Metamorph adds, and further increases to my single target triggers the ignite zero damage bug.

Yes. Awakened Unbound is substantially better due to it extending ignite duration, which then is sandwiched by Rate modifiers, like on Dyadian Dawn.

Uh well that hat can't fit the focus mod and multimod.

You'd probably be best off buying another and rolling it, if you bother at all.

108, but 100 is goal. You can have 80% without flask up, because you get 20% on flask use.
