No I am asking just a general question about them.
Yeah I can see them being good for Cyclon, or maybe even for Wreckers RF and CI builds, just to move around faster.

I want the spectres in the shield as I will get 4 Spectres at level 25. Others wise I will only get 3. If I am only running 3 Spectres then there is no need for the shield and I can drop that.

I think folks use the Carrion Golem as they think the 20% minion damage you get with them when you add quality to the gem effects all minions.




Yes, not saying to remove spectres from shield, move carrion golem to shield in place of minion life.

No, it used for the 'additional physical damage to non-golem minions'.
And also, extra minion just cause.
But that added physical damage to all your other minions is just super supreme with extra pepperoni. Especially if you get your Carrion up in levels to increase that. That is the ONLY thing we are looking at unless one is doing a golem main build.

I read alot of crap about PoB in other threads. It can be very wonky(?) with minion builds if not done correctly and most are using 'fork' now. Whatever the hell that is.
IMO, one can just tell by running through maps if DPS is up. That's my PoB. :)

and yes you can make a lot of crap up with PoB tbh,

for instance my zombie default attack is 637k (per zombie so x12 for actual damage) when the buffs from Carnage chief, Host chief are added (but doesn't include Ruins Hellion rallying cry as it isn't in PoB atm) also assuming enemy is shocked, mainmed, subject to vulnerability and assuming minion has 3 frenzy + 3 power charges in place, and my minions are receiving all buffs (Pride, Hatred, Dread Banner & Blood Stance)

Now with a little tinkering (an a LOOOOOTTTTT of people seem to do that with their 90billion shapers DPS lol) I can make that Zombie damage go from 637k to 4.5m per zombie lol (21/23 gems, over buffed flasks, max corrupted awakend gems boosted by lvl 4 empower, drop crazy stats into gear etc...)

So yeah take some PoB boasts in the forums with a pinch of salt, as the DPS calculation is based on BEST and optimal possible scenario, when all the worlds align for that one perfect hit ^^

PoB is most useful for you to test builds and scenarios if you swap things up, to test out jewels, weapons etc... to see what benefits or not and ofc to theorycraft (Damn you wrecker for making me mess about with theorycraft more than I play at times lol!!!)

Don't forget they can be annointed too

They can be a handy piece of kit in the right build too, their main use for the baron builds Pip and I currently play is to allow cyclone to be a lot faster movement and ofc the annoint :)

Oh yea, I got ya. Yea, good movement boots. And like Onyx said, they can be anointed. Huge plus. From what I hear speed flasks do not work with them. So it like caps your move speed at 150% but skills like cyclone do not slow you down.

I'm having problems with having ball lightning cast when damage taken. I've got a pair of boots socketed B-B-B-R so I've placed in it Enfeeble-Curse on cast-Ball lightning-CwDt.
I'm not seeing the ball lightning proc? I've taken the CwDt gem out to manually cast ball lightning at the moment. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've locked all the gems to be under Lvl 38 as well for CwDt to trigger. Do I need the sockets to be R-B-B-B or does that not matter?

I don't see anything. You have 37 mana unreserved to cast both skills basically at once?
I see you have fortify in with your temp chains link. That's a pretty big mana multi.
Try moving Ball Lightning up to where Enfeeble is and see if it casts then.

I read, maybe, somewhere, at one time, that skills cast starting at CWDT slot in clockwise fashion, but I think that only matters with your Desecrate and Offering skill where you need those corpses first.
So move your gems around with that in mind and see if that works.
I had Fortify there to just have the gem levelling up until I find a 5 link chest. Swapped ball lightning and enfeeble around, still nothing.
I'm going to swap ball lightning for arc and see if the skill is being buggy or something. I notice my spirit offering going off just haven't seen any small balls of electricity or enfeeble curse uptime on mobs. I've got the passive for double curses already. Not sure why the CwDt isn't triggering with my ball lightning.

Edit: tried arc and still no visible castings, maybe I'm just not taking enough damage before my zombies kill things.

Yeah that is the only thing I can think of is you are not getting hit so CwDt is not taking effect. I checked or PoB and yeah all links are good.

This is part of the build I changed and I use Arc, Curse on Hit and Enfeeble.
