Well I got to maps last night. Finally only a week to do it, on Xbox.
But I never am in a rush on this game.

Yes I was cutting out life currently, but I am thinking of going back to the life nodes and cutting Temporal Chains.

I am finding that my Spectres and some Zombies are dying to the Metamorphs.
Those Metamorphs pack a punch and as others have mentioned it is the caustic ground that is hurting.

I tend to drop my Vaal Skeletons on the chamber and then back off.
Hit the Metamorph from a distance with Arc, Curse on hit, Enfeeble

And I am finding that everything else is dying fast and seems temporal chain is a waste, going to have to play around with it still.

CwDt is just that, it Casts Ball lighting when you take damage.

So if you are not taking damage then it will not cast.

You have to take a full 528 worth of damage in one hit as well for it to activate. (I am pretty sure this is how it works, someone please correct me if it does not)

But this is why I do not personally use this set up.
I use Arc, Curse on Hit, Enfeeble.

This frees up a 4 socket for me.

Also CwDt is counter intuitive, as it requires you to take damage to proc ball lighting for that to enfeeble when it hits.
Ball lighting is also use to proc EE.
But if you only proc EE when Balling is active and you need to be hit for it to be active this means you need to take damage.

Again this is why I use Arc, Curse on Hit, Enffeble

And with this Metamorph league they spawn caustic ground.
I drop Vaal Skeletons on the Chamber then back off.

The new range on Arc to 35 units from 25 units is a big help here. I can stand out of the caustic ground area and cast Arc to proc enfeeble and EE.

The Metamorph dies pretty quickly this way.

This build called "1 button" ;)

For somebody who wants to click only 1 button, CWDT is the way to go.

But If you want to have more DPS, using Arc is much better

I am planning to replace BL with Arc and CWDT with Flame Dash (for mobility)

Thanks! I'm glad you're liking it! I find it very fun as well. I can't see your character so check a couple of things regarding CwDT:

1) Make sure CwDT stopped levelling at gem level 1.
2) Make sure Ball Lightning is a gem level of 4 or lower.
3) Make sure they're linked. (I know it seems obvious. But I've made that mistake more than once...)
4) Do you have any other CwDT links that you've added that aren't in the guide?

If this didn't help, make your characters public on PoE's website (privacy section) and I'll be able to take a specific look.

Just listened to the Dec 15th episode while playing Act 9 tonight and... I love it! The two of you are engaging and entertaining. And the audio is great too (are you using good mics and headphones, or was I just listening on crappy speakers that masked the flaws?).

That's very nice of you to pass on. Thank you very much! It's fun to play a build as it progresses over the years. 3.6 was your last post! It's nice to hear from you.

Charged Dash still works if you want it to. You'll have to forgo the Convoking Wand though. But you could then change the Ball Lightning setup to the way it used to be, CD-Fortify-CoH-Enfeeble.

The good old days eh? Charged Dash...I miss it.

Hey Chameleon!

I'm glad you were liking it. Red maps have always been a big jump. I'll be releasing an updated video guide shortly (in about an hour). The key to this build is to keep moving. Enfeeble is your biggest defence. But Enfeeble doesn't protect us against the things we can't see on the ground, just enemy attacks. It's hard to see the ground with so many minions out. So moving is key.

Also, with maps and bosses getting revamped, it'll take getting used to for all players. GGG is trying to make this game a lot harder and part of the key to success is being familiar with the bosses. So it'll take time for all of us veterans to relearn the changes they've made to bosses. I remember when I first tried the Minotaur, I got rocked. It took a few maps to learn the fight, but then, all of a sudden, with the exact same build and gear, I could do the build deathless and easily.

I'll be publishing my 3.9 example video in about an hour. You'll see BL going off often enough in the video. So even though some of these may be obvious, try double-checking the following:

1) Make sure CwDT stopped levelling at gem level 1.
