I prefer to self cast it, because if you use a skill, you leave phasing.

Hopefully its just a short term trend, because a big factor for me picking this as a league start was the cheap access to low life. If it ends up remaining that expensive, it kind of defeats the purpose (at least for me).

I just spent everything I had to swap to Freezing Pulse from the initial Holy Fire Totem and this feels 10x worse.

You don't have any of the jewels. You're firing 1/5th the number of projectiles you should be.
