Watch the ExileCon Livestream and Win Microtransactions with Twitch Drops!
For everyone who says they wasted their weekend...
(1) Watching the convention -- a huge deal for GGG and many supporters alike -- but caring only about the RNG of an MTX... which, let's face it, you could also just buy... re-examine your priorities and what exactly you like about the game. (2) No one said you had to literally watch it! You know how some people leave the telly on for their dog when they leave the house, even though it is a waste of electricity? You can leave your browser open and viewing the livestream while you go hiking or hang w friends or whatever the hell else you do on a weekend other than play the game. Seriously now, I'm cheap as hell and even I think there is a lot of over-reacting going on here. Although, GGG, that note about averaging the probability into 5.5 hours of watch time really was genuinely misleading. Not everyone is a maths geek or probability maven; you made it sound like it was some kind of cumulative watch value. But in actuality, every 5 minutes we all still only had a 1.5% chance to win something. It's more realistic to say that everyone's chances are equal throughout the duration of the livestream, regardless of consecutive or cumulative minutes watched. That means RNGesus is gonna bless some folks multiple times and some folks never. And also, y'all, you can tune into the livestream and be AFK... people do it in trade all the time (grrr....) |

" The thing I keep having to remind myself is that this game is FREE. There are gonna be lots of petty-ass freeloaders in the community who don't understand the value they are getting with this game. I support when I can, but I'm cheap as hell, too. So like... I'm trying to go easy on the shade. But when the baseline mindset is used to free stuff, it can be a volatile discussion when they still feel cheated. |

" yep 0 drop gang here but lmao its just pixles people wtf :D |

" They kept us informed about what's going on. They said about the issue, delay, they said when distribution was resumed and finished. Also Chris mentioned something in his post. What else do you need? I felt well informed about what's going on.
The problem is greater than the fact we received no drops...
Getting no drops isn't what annoys me. What annoys me is how they lied saying it would take 5.5 hours OR LESS to get a drop (they exploited people for views). Then on the first day only a few people got a drop while 88% didn't. Then they say only 12k accounts were eligible (Red flag). Then they blame twitch. Then they gave us false hope (telling us not to worry and that 137k prizes are just "backlogged". Then they kept us waiting almost 2 days after the event ended, meanwhile we saw multiple people getting 5+ drops and some people getting 9 drops which again gave us hope that at least we should expect 1 drop. Then they say they are finished "distributing" the drops and that the rest of us got shafted "supposedly" because of RNG. The RNG doesn't add up. GGG didn't release the statistics. They kept us waiting almost 2 days after the stream ended. If they had an actual "backlog" they could have published a list of user that won something avoiding the stressful 2 day wait. It's likely that they lied about their distribution (script?) being "backlogged", and actually just sent drops to some random accounts which were registered, regardless of if they watched the stream or not. Whole idea was bad from the beginning, was dealt with very poorly, left us in the dark for too long, gave false hope and ultimately left a lot of fans disappointed and alienated. While the ExileCon event as a whole was great, they have broken a lot of trust with their false promises and delayed/lackluster communication. The fact that they still haven't communicated how big they messed up on this, shows they are planning to sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened. It is quite deceitful and is a betrayal of everyone's trust. For that reason alone, I cannot support them anymore. #ExileCON Eminem - Love The Way You Lie ft. " Uh, no, they never said that, they said it was about 5.5 hours on average. If watching every second, The probability to not get anything on the first day was about 23%, second day about 6% because of the x2. Together, chance to not receive anything was about 1.2%. Not much, but it happens. Also a lot of people didn't watch it entirely anyway, especially the second day. " Yep, this part was weird " With the initial drop rate, 6% of people should have 0 drops at the end of the two days, and 8% 5 drops, so not really surprising. Though the 9 drops are a bit dubious, I think it's just some guys stealing and re-posting the 9 drops that someone got, just to annoy people here, so it is the same screenshot linked everytime. " Well, that's how probabilities work. " It seems to add up though, but statistics would be nice yeah. " A list of about 100k people? quite annoying to do. We will probably not know if it was adusted after or just backlogged, but eh, at least most people got something now. " It was mentioned on Chris message though: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/dxwjkv/thank_you/ But maybe you want a bigger apology from them
I didn't get the gift I wanted. But I didn't lose hope
Hope POE gets better and better
I didn't even get a "gift" to begin with.
I decided to stop supporting future events and supporter packs no matter how good future leagues will be. This is the last badge I will ever use: 0 drop gang represent! "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Pretty sure it didn't say "average" before... funny how the site went down for "maintenance" for a couple of minutes this morning and now it says "average".
I smell a coverup. Also Chris didnt address the issue. He apologised that the drops were backlogged but there was no mention of the twitch drops being a bad idea and handled poorly. I expected GGG to at least admit there was a major problem from the very beginning. Yet they are pretending nothing was wrong except the "backlog". Pretty shady behaviour from them.
