Holy hell, the levels of entitlement here are WAY too high.
Folks, you were NEVER guaranteed to get anything in the first place. This was intended to be a nice side thing in addition to watching the stream, if you watched because you didn't *actually* give a rats ass about the con and were just in it for the shinies, YOU set yourself up for a bad time, not GGG.
Of course, I don't know why I'm bothering to try and reason with people that are geniunely upset about not getting free pixels, but here I am. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Wow there comes the cattle... Man, dont u understand that "This was intended to be a nice side thing" IS THE PROBLEM? How can u say that its fair and nice that a lot of people got 5+ drops, while others got SHIT? Seriously, can u at least try to think for yourself? Chris ISN'T A GOD like most of u think... This should be a nice thing/gift for the fans, but it turned into a F U for us, and just fucked all the good memories from the live stream --' FOR GOD SAKE, THINKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!
You replied to the wrong post, but I can tell by the quote you meant to message me. I can say it's fair, because that is how RNG works. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. If you're getting butthurt over a system that utilizes chance then perhaps you shouldn't have participated to begin with. The convention was streamed on Youtube where Twitch Drops didn't exist.
Never proclaimed Chris or anyone at GGG was a God. It was/is a nice thing for the fans. I don't see how it wasn't a nice gesture, they gave free MTX to people who tuned in and got lucky. If your opinion of the events at the convention are so easily muddled by the fact you didn't get a free MTX then perhaps you shouldn't play online video games because you clearly cannot handle them. Grow up and mature a little bit before you hop on the internet.
Im quite sure i quoted right o.O
And man, don't u see the problem? This shouldn't be about fucking RNG... They probably ended giving more MTX to people then if they had gave only 1 to anyone that watched for X min/hours, like with Warframe. HOW DA F can't u understand this? Holy cow...

0 drop gang member here. Had it on ~12 hours.
Would've watched either way though. Thanks guys for the amazing conventions, trailers, and panels!
Also the people that are really upset should consider that they regularly give out free mystery boxes every challenge league.
If they were free how did I not get any of them?

All of you white knights can go do one...
GGG exploited people for views with their lies that people can expect a drop after 5.5 hours.
They lied that accounts were eligible for drops
They lied that the problem was with Twitch
They lied about the distribution
They kept people waiting in the dark, days after the event finished.
They caused mental stress
They selectively gave people multiple drops while others that watched longer got nothing
They created a massive divide in the community which feels like a civil war is going to break out. GGG and all you white knights that blindly defend them are to blame. I hate you all!
My life is slipping away...
Addiction is a harsh drug...

Concur. I'm still in the 0 drop club after watching the stream fully both days. Is it a little sad? sure. Is it the end of the world and are GGG horrible monsters brutally scamming people out of their "hard earned" MTX, nope.
People need to settle down. If they feel that the actions of GGG over this are enough for them to never support them ever again, well then there's the door.

How exactly were the drops "distributed"... shouldn' it have been automatic? If you distributed it than that imples there was no fair randomness involved here, someone looked through those logs and gave away prizes as they felt like.
You said it was gonna be random... That's not random, that's choice.
I don't like this.
Clarify what exactly happened, GGG.
I'm comparing this to fanart contest rewards as well, and it just doesn't look fair to me.

Maybe, maybe not. Who are you to say, do you have the statistics? I can understand that RNG sucks, and frankly I agree if they do the drops it should be a guaranteed single drop that you get for watching X amount of time. I get that. But, what I fail to understand is why you and all these other people gotta act like spoiled children because they didn't get something. If you'd gotten a Dark Swarm Pet you'd probably be sitting there fuming because someone got a Portal, ya'll don't seem to ever be satisfied.
The door is over there bud, don't let it hit ya on the way out.

I'm not sure why you think "distributed" means they gave out drops by hand. Winners were chosen at chance with 1.5% odds. The system flagged winners and put them in a database/list. Then an automated distribution system handed out prizes to the winners.
There is no way they did this by hand with the volume of prizes and the amount of people participating.
