Just looking at it and noticed that in config you did not have ignore spell hit and enemy hit by lightning on. In POB you need to have those two checked to simulate elemental equilibrium working with your trigger socketed spells. Checking these two brings your DPS to 758k on POB.

As far as the next accessible damage upgrade I would say looking for a better wand would be my priority, subbing in a decent wand with +1 to cold skill gems, decent +cold DOT mult and some spell/cold damage % along with getting all of your vortex gems to lvl20/20% gets you to around 930k and a level 21 20% quality vortex brings you over 1 million.

Also you can improve your tree, try to build something closer to the final CI Shak POB, energy within is a good ES boost, intuitive leap frees up some points.

Getting past 1 million is going to be where it takes some more serious currency as you are just looking for direct upgrades to items/jewels/gems. At that point you are looking for gloves with cold DOT multiplier, lvl 21 20-23% corrupted support gems, ect.

The tree in your POB is your main issue and looks like you took most of Mentosman advice and fixed the tree. If want to have big increases in your DMG. Get + to all cold or Spell Wand. I will post how to craft a good wand for 5ex.

Also you could boost your dmg by getting a good watcher's eye and a better with Amulet with Tranquility as your anoint. Tranquility increases damage and energy shield.


Example of perfect amulet , but just get +1 and energy shield

Crafting Wand

Since Heist has some pretty cool Synthesis items dropping. I am posting a way to make a really good wand , scepter or dagger. All though it requires 4ex during the crafting process and having a live search up for a couple days. Don't buy expensive bases on trade. Base should cost 1ex or Less


Wands with 30- 40 Spell DMG implicit are recommended. Scepters and Dagger can be used and are cheaper

Steps to craft:
1. Buy weapon with a Fractured +1 to All Cold Spells Gems. Don't worry if you see these bases for 20ex+ . Just set a live search and you will find them for a lot cheaper the wait is worth it.

2. Buy Deafening Essence of Woe and use it on the wand

3. Ideally you should now have a wand with the fractured +1 to spells and (83-94)% increased Spell Damage.

4. If you have at least one open suffix and 1 open prefix you can go to the next step otherwise keeping spamming Essence of woe/using annuls till you get 1 open prefix and 1 open suffix . Only took my three tries so shouldn't be to hard.

5. Craft Prefix cannot be changed (2ex Cost) and use Scouring orb.

6. Use divine Orbs until you get 94% spell Damage.

7. Now Craft:
Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers (2ex Cost)
Trigger a Socketed Spell when you Use a Skill
(18-20)% to Cold Damage over Time Multiplier.

8. The weapon is done!. If you don't hit 20 Cold Damage over Time Multiplier, you can use divines to get it to 20%. This will likely reroll the spell damage too so I would keep it if you get 19%.

hi guys! I am using PoB Community fork and experimenting a bit with EE and 3-curse setup. I thought having EE procced (-50% cold res) would yield the same effective damage calculation as having 3rd curse Ele weakness (for the sake of simplicity I used 26/20 in PoB to get -50% res), however I get completely different numbers. Without EE and ele weakness my vortex has 1.5m dmg, with ele weakness only: 1.8m, with EE only: 2.2m.

Any idea what could be the reason? Is something wrong with PoB calculation or is it just me being stupid and overlooking something?

Can you post your POB?

You shouldn't inflate a gem level to mimic the -50 res. By just ticking "Ignore Skill Hit damage" and "Enemy was hit by Light. Damage" in the configuration. POB will calculate the correct dmg for you with EE.


BTW you need to give up on the third curse idea. If it was worth it most of us on POE.ninja would be using it :)

I changed the gem to 20/20 - realized malediction gives me 15% increased curse effect, that should make the ele weakness -50% anyway I think. In the PoB I replaced temp chains with ele weakness (just wanted to see the dmg).

Yeah, I know it is not efficient and nobody is running it - it's just seeing the differences in PoB dmg calculation that makes me curious.
At what point does this build start to feel tanky? I took her to level 89 and was low life with about 5600 ES, no Tranquility annoint yet, and did not feel very tanky yet. I'm hesitant to invest more time into it because I'm just not "feeling" it yet, but so many people say it's great so I figured I would check in here to see what I'm missing.

Energy Shield is what you're missing. 5600 is horribly low as LL.

For example. I had 11k as CI without Discipline before I even considered switching to LL. I have 9k as LL.
