Hey, just finished equipping the build for maps but I'm confused. In all of the videos you sustain the scolds damage perfectly fine without really dropping your ES much. I can't do that, I will eventually kill myself without leech. Did I miss something important?

Right, after reading some more comments the issue was because I was using the leash of oblation without an increased effect of offerings chest. I'm on a small budget so I guess I'll have to choose between a 5L offering chest and the belt or not belt and a 6L normal chest..
I'm just gonna quote myself, as it seems to be gotten missed ;)

Hi Guys,

is there something as to much attack speed for this Build?

I'm asking, because I'm struggling with my Mana on longer boss fights.
I'm running out of Mana, when Flesh Offering procs, I've consumed corpses for hte Corpse Pact and there are no charges on the Mana Flask left.
I'm already using the Enduring Mana Flask and a Watchers Eye with a Clarity Lvl 1.

Currently i dont even try Sirius, as of this problem.

Mapping is just fine and quite fast :)

I know where more damage potencial is ;)

The armour was a lucky 25c buy :D

A few notes on Fire Pen:

The more penetration you have elsewhere, the less effective the gem is.

If you're using Martyr, uncheck the "blocked recently" box to remove 15% fire pen and check damage. Most likely you're not blocking much in something like a Sirus fight (avoidance preferred)

You can mess with the map mods in PoB. +40% Monster res and Ele Equilibrium (both mods that I will run regardless) kill your damage...but penetration makes this pretty negligible. Compare CD vs Awakened Fire pen with 1 or both of these checked.

I have limited increased % crit chance so CD reduction is really noticeable. less so for those using rare staves.

Nope. You're on the right track. It's one reason I put so much emphasis on the ES on Hit. You need levels and more life on gear basically. ALSO 9and this is huge) Charging Offensive gives free endurance charges which helps mitigate scold's damage this helps smooth it out more. Can use soul of Gruthkul Pantheon for 5% and a Chaos Golem for 4% as well.

@Gryph

what do u think about the timeless jewel, that gives "glancing blows" (double blockchance fpr attacks and spells, but u take 50% dmg from blocks) for non leash of obliteration users? Since we have a lot of fast recovery, we can probably make use of it.

currently testing it. went from 42/21 blockchance to 75/42.

I think it's totally fine. I really like Brutal Restraint for the Dex and noteable mods it can give though.

This build definitely works on a medium budget and is plain awesome. I have 196k average hit with VD with my build compared to gryph's 177k average hit but where I suffer a bit is defense. No offering chest (so no bone), no ES watchers, and no bottled faith.

Probably have like 8-10ex invested. Most expensive items were 6L chest and 6L staff (each ~4ex), rest is meh. The 6L staff probably not even needed because I don't really know what to do with my extra sockets (currently running prox shield spectres) anyway. @Gryph, any thoughts on what would be best with 4 extra sockets? AG dies to hard content, so don't really want to manage him... Maybe golem + spectres?

Also, chaos res is OP. Currently at 46% and a lot of the new content is cheese now.

Would love to find some more life to make spirit recover more (only like 3600 life right now), so that's probably my next focus.

You could replace AG with a Chaos or Stone Golem. I use my "free" 4L for 2 2L's

1 with Movement Skill + Arcane Surge and the other for my CWDT+Bone Offering.

One setup you might like for some extra recovery+DPS

CWDT - Cremation - Culling Strike - 4th link can be anything from a GMP to a Golem. You could level the CWDT for high level Stone Golem for instance. a lot of things to play around with.
Made some nice upgrades the last few days, not quite sure how to upgrade now.

Spoiler

Also got a Watcher's with :
- 30 ES on hit w/ Discipline
- Crit pen 10% Eleres w/ Zealotry
- Enemies take 10% increased damage on consecrated ground w/ Zealotry

Forgot to mention that PoB tells me I reached 100% crit with that new staff (assuming I have Bottled Faith up ofc), so I dropped the Diamond Flask for a Quartz Flask, not sure it's the best but it felt like a good idea. (to double down on Elusive dodge as well)

You have a few things going on that I see:
1. Get a level 21 VD. Quality doesnt matter.
2. Fire pen > controlled destruction
3. You are using oblation without an offering boost chest, this is hurting you in both recovery and damage since you now have -50% offering effect on you
4. I doubt your assassin mark is doing much since you have curse gloves and curse with your cwdt without the ability to curse 2 things.
5. You dont have much ES regen anywhere. No watchers, no aspect of spider + fenumus.

Thx for the input man!
Yeah lvl 21 VD and watchers eye are my next upgrades for sure.
As for oblation without the offering chest, I have 100% uptime on the offerings anyway, and yeah while the regen from spirit off might be a bit smaller, I'll check first if Watcher's Eye won't be enough to keep my ES pool full( which is pretty small tbh, im planning on getting better ES on items haha).
I do have whispers of doom on the tree so there shouldnt be an issue with two curses? Ive got full power charges all the time so the mark is proccing and i can def see ele weakness on stuff. But thanks very much for looking into it! Will check out fire pen, might also invest into awakened CD later on which seems to have sick stats.

Edit: ok all clear now, rechecked my pob and forgot to check my flasks, avg hit seems to be close to gryphs when i slot in lvl 21 VD! :D

Here is a video of T15 map + conqueror kill. Note. I don't have Watcher's Eye or Bottled Faith yet but the damage is definitely there. Also I ran into the volatile tracking bug during the fight so it's a bit longer.

Here is Uber elder kill as well. This was my first ever Uber Elder attempt so I died twice xD.

Sorry I missed you :P

YES you can get too much attack speed to where mana sustain becomes a problem. I have found that some actual %Increased mana regen goes a long way.

If you're having trouble try dropping flesh offering from the setup. You'll drop some movespeed but you'll also cut down your attack speed and that will help with mana.

On a side note:
Papa Gryph getting UPGRADES
I Need some help i just started this build and it seems really fun but im running into the problem where my Energy Shield is Depleting faster then it's going up i can usually use my flasks to maintain in add clear but during bosses its a real problem

Biggest thing for bossing is staying in range for Aspect of the Spider so you can get the ES on hit operable.

More phys mitigation could help make it smoother as well. Soul of Gruthkul can give 5%.

Generally getting more life on gear and leveling will help.

It has also been suggested that you try adding a higher level Spirit Offering+CWDT to setup somewhere to add more SO triggers as most of the time we're not on Cooldown. I do not know the exact level of CWDT that you'd want, but you can play around with it if you'd like ^^

Double Corrupted me chest bc BALLZ

It's not great but it didn't brick! :D
Hey, I'm currently leveling a witch to test out this build - I have a mechanical question though: How exactly does your damage get rolling? In my logic, CwC should be linked to both desecrate and VD. Say you enter a map and start spinning into mobs - wouldn't you die before your first VD goes off because of the lack of corpses? Or does the CWDT setup cater quickly enough to make this a non-issue?

Cheers
