[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS
" So to clarify it's because of the attack speed gain on corpse pact? Labs are like my least favorite part of the game -_- I'll get em done today tho. Thanks!
Switched from Ice Shot to VD recently and im really liking the build. Feels nice to not get oneshot by everything. I got few questions regarding the build though.
Why are some people using Unearth? Dont we already have enough corpses? Why is no one using the belt+additional offerings? Why cant i sustain my hp when im using additional offerings ( got 25% offering chest)? Are there any good alternatives to Unearth or Spectre/Guardian setups?
" You can only use one offering at a time unless you are using So every time you proc a new offering Spirit Offering will lose its buff and you will degen very rapidly. There is a list of optional CWDT spells that you can utilize in the OP over Specters/Unearth. I recommend slotting Culling strike into one of the CWDTs. |
|
" I was testing the additional offerings with leash of oblation and 25% icreased offering chest but i couldnt sustain my hp. With two offerings instead of three the sustain was a bit better. Im assuming it has something to do with the amount of corpses? Just read the cwdt segment which pretty much answers my questions. Must have somehow overread it. Thanks for answering that quickly!
Sup all,
I started playing this build and have switch some stuff around with what I can get. I pretty new to the game so there are a lot of stuff I dont understand and can really justify why I did it. If anyone have some time to take a look at my build and give me some pointers or some suggestions, please feel free to do so. Here is my PoB: https://pastebin.com/NbLi3BfR Please help me out here. Thanks in advanced.
3rd Day with Build. First Attempt at Sirius Awakener at Awakening Level 8. had killed her at lvl 0 Twice and 3 once before this attempt.
I went in with 3x Endless mana Potions with movement speed, and 2x Atziri's Flask for HP recovery. 3 Deaths and put her down, initially did not have Flame Dash and the 'Die" laser isnta gibbed me till i got the timing down with Flame Dash.
" So most it all looks generically fine. You're looking good if you're on a bit of a budget. That said, block of text incoming... This is my recommendation: Remove the golems from gloves, change gloves to two 2-links and put a leveled CWDT+Assassin's Mark in its place. (21 each if possible) You already have power charge generation with PCOC on your CWDT setup. Follow this up with adding Culling Strike Support into your chest in its place. This is worth 10% more damage against everything PLUS the extra levels on the curse make it more effective (roughly 3% more damage vs bosses for Mark). If you use a level 21 CWDT+Curse, you will still trigger it every couple of seconds--AKA: When you need it most. End result here is 20% more damage at the cost of some life regen from Stone Golem. Things to upgrade: I would get an upgraded 6L chest. +25% offering effect and 1.5% increased Crit for spells is simply AMAZING for DPS and Defense/Recovery. The recovery from Spirit Offering is especially important as you do not had an ES on hit Watcher's Eye. 25% increased effect gives an additiona 5% of max life as extra ES *recovered* from SO. For you this is: 403 energy shield more each time. 1200-1600 Extra ES recovered per second depending on your CWDT proc speed. Oh and it's also just +400 es to your max ES pool too. So yeah, pretty OP. Refer to Page 100 to read me rant about how to make one of these chest pieces. Bottled Faith is 25% more damage. Rest looks fine. It gets pretty expensive really fast when you want to make big DPS upgrades. Aul's is 15-20ex AND you have to rework your resists. an Elusive+Tailwind pair of boots are suuuuuuuper nice for clearspeed but again...$$$ and need to get resists elsewhere. So, if you want to start aiming at those things I would try to upgrade Ring+Belt for as much res as you can possibly get. ALSO!!! Get more CHAOS RES. Take the two remaining 4% Life+4% Chaos res nodes that you omitted and use an Atziri's Promise for an extra 35% as needed. Lastly cuz I need sleep...a Thread of Hope in the Templar Scoket with LARGE Radius, touches all of our major noteables. This can save you a TON of passive points. Can check my tree for reference. Definitely something to check into. Hope this helps! |

Hello Gryph,
Thank you for the build and your dedication in the thread. I'm pretty late to the party (had long stay away from home) but I'm slowly cathing up in gears and levels (don't look at my char my vision for the build exceed by far what I've achieved this week :p). I wanted to discuss the Spirit offering belt Vs a Hunter stygian. You finally got rid of flesh offering so now you are only using the belt for Bone offering. I know how fond of block chances your are, but I'm debatting with myself about flask charges on crit. Metamorph offers plenty of adds, so it would only be usefull on the conquerors, guardians and Sirius. Would you trade the block chances for full flask during the whole fight? If we crit enough (and with ball lightning we should) I'll for sure aim for it. Also, we are really close to the additionnal curse cluster so the slot for Bone offering could be used for a second curse (and a high level one). Anyhow, even with Bone offering and the offering belt a curse on hit ring should not be hard to fit. Last edited by Rootsmann on Jan 15, 2020, 4:57:54 AM
