40% crit chance / power charge => 4 charges => 160 - 100 => 60 increased crit chance, applied to 6.5 % base vortex crit chance => 10,4% crit chance
Just check on POB in Calcs section, you can find out there how crit is calculated.

Also, it's only for vortex, other spells storm brand, frost bomb, cold snap, orb of storm can trigger the overload and they don't have this support.
We cast enough spells often enough to be sure to trigger the effect.

I have also a weapon similar but has "adds cold damage and to spells",
Don't have currency at the moment to change weapon but still, I can use it and will trigger also the gems that are inserted,
Will have also more damage no?
What I cant do is choose the elemental equilibrium until I have better weapon,

Sure, you can just not take EE in tree and use the weapon, look for other weapon though when you can afford it.

Thanks for the nice build Ghazzy. I love it, at lvl 85 atm on my way to 90+.

Do you know someone I can trust and whisper in-game to get my weapon enchanted with Trigger a Socketed Spell when you Use a Skill? That's my missing link atm and I got no luck so far with Unveil enchants.
