So I've been running this build on CI all the way since I hit maps (lvl 70). I'm now 91, and I Kept swapping various supports.
For now I temporary settled with:

I have invested in some mana nodes, aura effectiveness, mana mods on gear, and maxed Clarity to sustain Soulrend spam for both clearing and bosses, and it's amazing!
With Cast speed of 0.61 sec it's more than enough to keep DoT 100% of time pn whole screen, even while dodging and shooting from weird angles.
I have 9.5k ES, but there still tons of room for improvement like proper 6L +600 es chest. Then I might respec to (wand + shield) with even better es and way more spell damage. Even something cheap like this would be an upgrade:

Put +2 to support gems in that bow and socket in a lvl 3 empower and you will do way more damage than with any wand. You will have good ES if you have good ítems. I'm currently at ~9.2k with this gear:
Besides from the helmet (that i crafted myself for about 3ex) my gear is not that good.
Hi Im doing the ED/Contagion Build with cerberus and shield variant but with the purity build from MbXtreme (really nice to have over 80% max resist) My only problem with the build is maps mods with "players cannot regenerate anything for shit", how I deal with that?. My build is farm from over (deciding to go for SR/Bane combo and chayula or astramentis, and upgrade my rings)

Just bring a mana flask. Can't regen only affects your mana recovery, and whatever ES regen you have from Zealot's oath. ES Recharge isn't affected by no regen.

Bow with lvl 3 Empower in oposite to good crafted wand + shield is around 10% more dps at cost of 10-25% ES (depends on shield) for Bane skill. It can be different numbers for Soulrend/ED, but i don`t think so. Result is - Bow is more dps, wand more survability. I tried both of them and switched to wand, now i feel much more safe. My wand and shield for example:
PoB calculations from my build:
With wand + Shield - 776K Bane dps (790K with 16% chaos dmg crafted instead of Trigger a socketed spell...) / 8757 ES without Discipline / 28% block chance, 6% spell block chance, 20% chance to avoid elemental ailments
With Bow + Soul Strike + Emp lvl 3 - 853K Bane dps / 6639 ES without Discipline (should be a little more with passive tree changes)
With Bow + Soul Strike + Emp lvl 4 - 953K

It's probably due to my gear setup, but I just feel a bit squishy and maps above tier 7 are a bit dodgy. Also could just be me still learning the fine points of the game; this is only my second league.

CWC is just shit since you need to be in the melee area to start casting. use a full 6l soulrend instead

Cool, I'll try that out. I don't have enough for a Lvl 4 Empower yet, so should I throw on Greater Multiple Projectile or Decay?
For soulrend i strongly recommend GMP for clear
