Yes, I do play in standard xP

I started the game before and only got my Shadow to level 55, as a refresher I wanted to play as a witch and fire spells just felt much more satisfying. I saw the incinerate build and was trying out another build, but the incinerate just felt sooooo satisfying after i got Herald of Ash.

With the new league coming up, I'll probably start over again there, now knowing what to expect. :3 So far I've only blown 600 alterations on the staff and yeah, haven't gotten it, soooo just jumped it to rare w/ cast and spell dmg for the mean time.

Already kinda feel invested in the staff so I'll be going for that one hehe :3

Thanks for the quick reply! :D

This is my gift for you in Standard. OldMetalGuy got my staff. :)
Msg me tonight in game.

Torstein knows my unluckyness is legendary from trying to make a staff before the blight league :)

it took 4322 alts to finally hit +3..

I quit the game multiple times through Blight, as all I was doing is farming chaos and burning alts for weeks.. and I couldn't progress in game until I had enough chaos to buy exalts for the mods, since ex's don't drop for me either like other people lol

with the combination of the cost of the alts, and the cost of the mods for the staff, I didn't get a lvl 4 enlighten until 2 weeks before the league ended.. since the price of them never went below 3 ex's. (I still have the 5 I leveled myself and tried to vaal, you can guess how that went).

If there is any way to not have buy that as well and still have spider, it would be a huge thing for us currency challenged folks

You too, but it was the other dude that had problem in the league. New crafting +2 will be dead easy to get.
Enlighten 4 and Spider Aspect are not mandatory. Build will work without them, just less damage. Leave that as the last thing to improve.

GL both in 3.9 and Metamorph

Hey, TorsteinTheFallen, thanks for build, i've played similar build before and this league it would be my league starter.
Small question: is it possible to get rid of the dodge cluster? Would it hurt that much and could we somehow compensate it? I'm long-time hater of dodge mechanic.
If not, should i start Chieftain this league? DPS difference is actually huge...

Yeah, dps difference is big this league mainly because of changes to Skitterbots and Shaper/Elder items.

Dodge is necessary for Elementalist and she will have very high damage avoidance chance. I wouldn't play it without.
Is crafting a staff going to be much weaker when you can only add 2 things? How much will that affect it?

Well it will affect it enough to feel it from previous league. But, staff will have 2 open affixes that will allow you to use new exalted orbs with targeted pool of mods to add.
I do want to thank give Torstein a shout out for the work and upkeep on the build

Even though I had lots of gear problems in Blight, that was as far as I had ever progressed in game.. I was able to do everything (with some changes in gear to fit my bad rng play style), with the exception of killing Uber Elder. I had plenty of dps, I just couldn't survive to the end of the fight. The lowest I got them was 1/4 of health.

I finally gave up burning up Shaper frags on him, and just ran Shaper about 50 times trying for the hideout, didn't get that either... big surprise

Playing this build through 2 leagues and in standard, I've always had a problem of getting 1-shotted / insta killed by things, for seemingly no good reason (an example would be in delve, where you have to kill like a thousand ghost bears, some times, even after clearing them all, I would just drop over dead, full health to dead, instantly).

I changed some of my passives to unlock a couple other jewels, and adding the extra ones with their immunities (corrupted blood and silence) , I went from dying every day to not dying *at all* unless I really did stupid stuff, or just misjudged my distance from those damn porcupines

I also played around with the skitterbots and Infernal Legion.. let me tell ya, it's awesome to see stuff webbed and on fire before you even start to cast. I just could never figure out the magic numbers so I could recast the golems without stopping and turning off something to get enough mana.

anyways, Thanks again Torstein for all the work and support.

See you all in Meta
Three hours and 10 minutes (+20 min queue time) and I'll take this build straight to Uber elder and beat that mofos ass lol! Thanks for the build!

Right on! Quicksilver to the metal! haha xD
Hey man, thanks for this build, using it as a starter this league :) I noticed in the PoB build that you are using 2 1h weapons in it instead of the 2h one here on this page. Are the 2 1h weapons something you use until you get the juicy rolls on your 2h?

Aha that's for leveling until you get to switch to a staff. Dual wielding gives bonus to cast speed, easier to level with.

Also, i reconsidered using a crafted staff. New multi-modding will allow only 2 mods to be crafted after multimod so on average crafted staff would give same dps as Martyr of Innocence unique staff.
I'm updating it right now.

Did you consider using Carcass Jack with maybe some def gem setup? Or Kaoms is just in every way better?
