Don't know if someone suggested this, but would the new ES leech support be any good vs life leech support?

It gives a damage boost when you are max ES. We have no numbers yet but I would assume it's not an insignificant damage boost.

That way maybe we can save some points for damage nodes or something.

Gems were just released. ES leech gem's damage boost is real nice.

@April_Spades: In Betrayal, no staffs at all were for sale until Saturday afternoon. The 6S 18% ones remained at 25c-30c for at least a week.

The big problem wasn't getting an 18% staff, it was getting 5S or 6S on them. 28% quality did seem to help a bit.

Astramentis hasn't been a problem for a couple of leagues now -- just buy cheap Polymath cards. These were 4c-5c for pretty much the whole league.

14% cyclopean coils (except for these momentarily-available 1c-5c offers) didn't drop much below 20c. 15% were generally 35c and higher in the first week, and then increased as people realized that corrupting them was profitable.

%int rings should be pretty cheap the first week.

16% talismans are dirt cheap, but do require some work with increasing strength and dex.

The EZ mode for chest appears to be to get the 6% increased attributes craft and apply that to a good Vaal.

AFAIK we still want the Watcher's Eye "each hit is 30 to your ES" -- I don't see that being limited by the ES nerf.

Need to see the actual gems first, but it doesn't look very useful. It could replace the ES leech nodes on the tree for the leech amount, but we need those nodes to increase the leech cap. And a real DPS gem (e.g. Hypothermia) instead of ESL will probably give much more damage than ESL + 6 nodes.

What time zone? I started watching the market as soon as I found my first chaos orb, and I bought a random WI for 2c about 3 hours after the league started. Missed several staves before that, somebody grabbed them faster.

You can go pretty far with WO - CwC - Freezing Pulse - GMP. I've never actually had to use the option to farm the card in Act 6, that's for SSF players.

About 6-8 hours into the league, there were multiple staves for sale for 1-3c. I finished the storyline and started mapping with 4S. Anybody not rushing from the start shouldn't have any problems getting the staff on the 2nd day.

6S is not going to happen on the 1st day, nor that you need it anywhere before Uber Lab or T10+ maps.

Lvl 20 gem - 10% increased damage while leeching, 1,9% damage leeches as es, 24% More Damage while on full shields, 39% more damage while leeching.

Ofc this means depending on your current es, you get different more modifier.

Hmm that Energy Leech Support gem is very interesting...huge damage buffs. And regular leech is now at 3.9% instead of 2% but lost the 50% increased rate.

I found a WI really easy last league...didn't pay much for it and got a 6S with just a few jewelers (lucky). They were dirt cheap not too long after that.

And 10% more damage with Spell Cascade...interesting!

Just saw the gem. 40% MORE damage while leeching ES / 25% MORE damage while on full ES (i.e. not leeching). That's lv 20 with +1 bonus from the staff.

That's... unexpected. I thought it would be something like 10%. So this is already better than Hypothermia.

And then there is Infused Channelling with similar damage mods plus some awesome defenses, especially against cold damage (hi there, Uber Elder!).

Looks like this is gonna be awesome patch for Whispering Ice. Winter Orb didn't get nerfed much as well.
