Made a first simulation for my level 100 char in Betrayal (OccWItrayed), here is the screens comparison (zoom in for clear view): Old_tree_level_100_screenshot: New_tree_level_100_screenhot: Few notable changed values for this (some of them not calculated by PoB yet): -2.6% of Damage leeched as Energy Shield (2.4% spell damage and 0.2% cold damage) so Life Leech gem is replaced with Elemental Focus in boss staff. -50% increased Maximum total recovery from energy shield leech which means (i assume) that together with Ghost Reaver stat - Maximum total recovery from energy shield leech is doubled and 10% base puts us at 30% down from 40% with Vaal Pact for old build. -30% increased total recovery per second from Energy Shield Leech (i don't know how this value affects our leech) -24% increased damage while on full energy shield (average hit with this option checked is 37.026 instead of 36.156) -20% Reduced reflected Elemental Damage taken Now the calculated differences seen: -overall single target average hit (Shaper + enemy chilled checked) is increased (36.156 vs. 25.456) with Enfeeble socketed instead of Frostbite, Bonechill from AA and no Frenzy charges checked. -less Energy Shield (18.349 vs. 19.270) -less Intelligence (2339 Int vs. 2609 Int) -missing some lightning resistance :) Last edited by lilianmarius on Mar 6, 2019, 6:54:48 AM

Do you think it will be possible to play WI using handcasting after the Buffs and the new Support Gems?
I really love WI but i always had a problem with CWC :P The Mana cost is going to be a Problem but i think i might give it a shot anyway. | |

I am curious of how WI will turn out. I think it will be stronger overall, but I don't know if it will be great for synthesis content. I hated doing incursions with this, but i stuck with it cause I really love playing cold spells and this build is really strong. Just a heads up, this isn't a fast build.

Few thoughts about what got better and what got worse for WI seeing it from my point of view:
Let the numbers speak! Old tree with level 100 char (OccWItrayed): Int value: 2609 ES value: 19.270 IceStorm duration higher due to higher Int value (~ +0.5 seconds higher) Free mana (188 mana free after allocation) ES leech cap (with GR + VP): 7708 ES Leech per hit: 1965.7 Average Shaper Hit for single target: 25.456 (LL gem (2% leech) socketed in boss staff) Resistances (Fire/Cold/Lightning): 75/75/74 New tree with level 100 char (OccWItrayed) Int value: 2359 ES value: 18.349 IceStorm duration lower due to lower int value (~ -0.5 seconds lower) Free mana (174 mana free after allocation) ES leech cap (with GR + Light Eater + Ethereal Feast): 5504.7 ES leech per hit: 1567.6 Average Shaper Hit for single target: 36.519 (EF instead of LL socketed in boss staff).If we check Full ES condition value rise up to 37.388 Resistances (Fire/Cold/Lightning) : 75/75/66 Es leech from tree : 2.6% (value may be seen as "overkill" but we really need those medium nodes (Light Eater & Ethereal Fest) that increase our max leech cap so we have to take all the small others to reach them). These values are taken for both variants with the following Aura and buff skills: Arcane Surge,AA,Clarity,Discipline,HoI,Bonechill,Enfeeble So if we are looking at end-game boss encounters and we don't take in consideration the Enfeeble curse buff against bosses i have a first feeling that the build i play was nerfed a bit overall. OK we can deal more damage (based on average hit and not involving the reduced skill duration modifier) but the damage increase does really compensate for all the others lowered stats (int, max ES, max leech cap)? This remain to be seen in high end encounters like Uber Elder, Aul, etc. Regarding clear speed, WO damage was nerfed a bit, also now we have to link Hypothermia instead of Controlled Destruction to it (less damage multiplier) so we can still proc Elemental Overload. On the other hand Spell Cascade was buffed so overall damage of IceStorm in trash staff may remain the same or grow a little (No more CD but better Spell Cascade). And by not going anymore under Scion start to get those resistances nodes also will make it a bit harder to cap all resistances without sacrificing Int nodes or at least 1 jewel socket. Finally my personal feeling is that high-end ES gear will be even more expensive than previous league since it seems that ES and CI starts little by little to become "new meta" :) All in one , build successfully survived one more league but in my opinion WI didn't receive so much buffs other people think on this thread and this when it come to min-maxing for end-game. As chris metioned synthesis is all about clear speed. With the cold version of this build for me the clear speed gos up. The best is that heavy monster dont affect me as it was in deep delve with sc build. And as i played chayula last night verry confortable with my betrayal gear i didnt think its like incursion. most incursions wasnt really a clear speed problem as a movement speed problem. And movement speed is really low compared with many bow builds.
but i hope the takiness will outwight the missing movement speed. in all incursion i had enougt monster to kill i had not a problem. Only bad layouts with long way between the monster groups was really a fucking problem. But we will see. unfortunaly i cant play the first weekend, as i must work over the weekend. so i can only read what happend :-( @lilianmarius the min max you did i feel also its a bit worser then bevor. BUT i will never get this numbers also not in standard you get. And for "normal" players i think the dmg buff is really fine for clearspeed. and you forgot about the new implicits. " Two-tone boots are not doing anything good for our build since all 3 variants of them have way lower ES base. Regarding corrupting rings i don't think that implicit will stay after corruption and on top of that we'll have % increased int , no way this is possible :) And one more thing that does bother me a bit, it will be way harder to reach level 100 and get the max out of the skill tree this league since Breachstones were nerfed too much on top of their availability which would is normally lowered also. But as i said i am very happy that i can play one more league this lovely build and probably will be able to do entire content with it being it old content or new content!
