GhazzyTV - 30-50mil sDPS Soulwrest Summoner [LOW & HIGH BUDGET VERSIONS]
IMPORTANT NOTE:
THIS GUIDE IS NOW AVAILABLE WITH A MUCH BETTER QUALITY OVER AT: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/soulwrest-necromancer-build-guide I will be answering ALL questions on that forum thread and keep all guides on icy-veins website (poe-vault.com) updated consistently every league as per usual. All my build guides as well as other written guides can be found here: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ghazzy-guide-hub This thread will no longer be updated but will leave it as it was when I did this move for the sake of nostalgia <3 __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ For a more detailed explanation of the build check out the video guide: Soulwrest Summoner Build Guide Video Animate Guardian Guide: https://youtu.be/JRK5AFbhd2M If you have any questions you can always come to my twitch stream to get them answered or just to enjoy the stream: Ghazzy's Livestreaming Channel Path of Building Link for the guide: https://pastebin.com/XfP5r8HT Simply go to "Import/Export Build" > Click the "Import from Pastebin" paste the link in there, and then click "Import" High Budget Necromancer PoB: https://pastebin.com/yXG6RXHA THIS BUILD CAN ALSO BE PERFECTLY PLAYED AS A GUARDIAN: • High Budget Guardian: https://pastebin.com/TSCU80tE • Low Budget Guardian: https://pastebin.com/RdtYg5di __________________________________________________________________________ Is this build for you? 1. If you are looking for an actual Soulwrest build that can be played in the end-game! 2. A build that is keeping a high quality despite having a very low budget. 3. Insanely high clear speed for a summoner build. 4. A build with a high budget version allowing you to literally deal with ALL content in the game. 5. If you prefer a build guide that has a video linked to it. __________________________________________________________________________ Build Enabling Items: This build is designed around the unique staff Soulwrest so that's obviously the most important piece. However, the other options depend on how you'd like to play the build. If you're aiming to play the way I prefer it to then the other build enabling items would be these: Cluster Jewels: Cluster jewels are in general very expensive, however, the low budget design of this build has been made so that you can purchase the worst version of the cluster jewels as the tree allows for a lot of extra passive points to literally be "wasted". Such as getting up to 12 passives on a large cluster which drastically lowers the cost of the jewels. Large cluster jewel mods in order of efficiency is: Renewal > Call to the Slaughter > Raze and Pillage, where Raze is a node you can literally ignore entirely to further lower the cost of the clusters for the sake of the low budget approach. Medium cluster jewel only really have 1 crucial one which is the minion life providing one which are dirt cheap and the 2 mods you want will be: Blessed Rebirth > Life from Death. A jewel with these mods even on the lowest passive is pretty much free of charge that's how cheap it is. Whilst the other medium clusters are optional for the sake of increasing your dmg and not something that would be build enabling so if you want to keep the cost down you just add any life providing small cluster jewel after this or skip that and pick up more life from the tree instead. The more expensive medium cluster jewel mods are: Vengeful Commander > First Among Equals. These are far from mandatory but good to know what to strive for when it comes to start upgrading your character for the sake of doing more damage! __________________________________________________________________________ Defence & Utility With the use of a Quartz Flask you're provided with Phasing, that combined with high speed allows you to run through enemies whilst your massive army of minions clears everything in a heartbeat! Utility wise this build offers a lot of options that you can decide on yourself depending on your personal playstyle preference. I personally prefer to utilize melee skellies with the build allowing for the enhanced single target approach which I felt the spectres/phantasms didn't provide enough power for. __________________________________________________________________________ Pantheon Choices: Pantheon List Major God: - Soul of Lunaris Basically just helps with avoiding some projectile damage Minor God: - Soul of Ryslatha Basically just an additional layer of defence when you're on low life. __________________________________________________________________________ Skill-gems & Setups: Phantasms in Soulwrest: - Phantasm Support, Deathmark, Minion Damage, Controlled Destructions, Slower Projectiles, Hypothermia Note: Change Slower Proj & Hypthermia for GMP & Faster Projectile for more efficient clearing set-up. ----------------------------- Spectres, Charge Providers: - Raise Spectre, Blood Magic Host Chieftain these monkeys from Ashen Fields Act 7 provides Power Charges to your minions. Carnage Chieftain these monkeys from Ashen Fields Act 7 provides Frenzy Charges to your minions. Animate Guardian: - Animate Guardian, Feeding Frenzy, Elemental Army Utility: - Bone Offering, Desecrate Utility: - Convocation - Desecrate, Spell Cascade Auras: - Hatred, Zealotry, Skitterbots, Generosity Mobility: - Dash, Second Wind EE + CoH: - Storm Brand, Curse on Hit, Projectile Weakness __________________________________________________________________________ Skill-tree & Ascendancy Nodes: Ascendancy Nodes: You start with Mistress of Sacrifice, then you grab Mindless Agression to get to Unnatural Strength. Once these are done you can either go with Bone Barrier, Essence Glutton or Bone Barrier. It's up to you! Leveling skill-tree, 35 points Leveling skill-tree, 60 points Finished skill-tree Notes: Once the skill-tree is finished, just focus 100% on more jewel slots. __________________________________________________________________________ Blighted Oils There's only 1 good option for this build and that's Gravepact which requires: 1x Azure & 2x Black oils. __________________________________________________________________________ Leveling Tips: There are multiple ways to level a Necromancer so I will simply mention my preferred leveling route: I start with Freezing Pulse & Stormblast Mines and whenever I can get Frostblink, Frost Bomb & Orb of Storms I pick them up. I use these til lvl 28 upon which I switch to Ball Lightning Mines. Bandits: - Kill them all, they give nothing of proper value for you. __________________________________________________________________________ Gearing & Stat Priorities What base items to use: The base items of this build really doesn't matter as we don't care about the base defensive stats such as armour(str), evasion(dex) or energy shield(int). So instead the base items will follow the stat priority listed in this guide. However, the attribute requirement of the items will base how hard it is to chrome (color) which will be the only thing we will think about when planing our gearing. So, if you need 4 blue sockets in an item the recommendation is to get an item that has Energy Shield (int) base or a hybrid base which includes Energy Shield (int). By using this chrome calculating website: https://siveran.github.io/calc.html you can easily track how hard it will be to chrome the colors you need. This YouTube playlist can help a lot for new players and also includes a few tricks when coloring items with the "wrong attribute requirements" for your build: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuu-MdPs0Af8A4e3gSsJ1xDKNNcdFwY1r Defensive Stats: 1. Life 2. ES 3. Resistances Offensive Stats: 1. Minion Damage Jewels: 1. Flat Life 1. %minion dmg when you've used a minion skill recently 2. % Life 3. Other minion dmg related mods Flasks: 1x Seething Divine Life Flask of w/e suffix 1x w/e prefix Eternal Life Flask of Staunching 1x w/e prefix Quartz Flask of Adrenaline 1x Rumi's Concoction Granite Flask 1x w/e prefix Quicksilver flask of Heat __________________________________________________________________________ Recommended Unique Items:

NOTE: Soulwrest went from being VERY cheap to being VERY expensive, with that said. This build still works very well as a beginner friendly, but it is not a league-starter in the terms of you being able to easily have all your gear sorted within the first 24h. This build was originally designed from my "Lich Queen" build which is an extremely popular league-starter & beginner friendly build. You simply play Soulwrest as a Lich Queen, which means you don't use Soulwrest till you can equip it. That's it. Looks like fun. Any thoughts regarding linking blood magic in the Elder helm to run one carnage chieftain for frenzy charges?

Added rampage info under utility tab.
" It's a nice addition / approach however, seeing as in deep delves or t15/16 maps there are situations where the Phantasms doesn't always survive very well in which cases the spectres are your "back-up" if you will. All in all, it's a matter of personal taste of how you'd prefer to run the build. This build offers A LOT of free choices that won't impact its efficiency that much. Quick note for new people reading my guides:
Since I'm not a fulltime streamer I have issues keeping up with responding to each and everyone in my threads so I've decided to simply respond on the YouTube vid linked in each guide, Discord or stream :) Guides: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ghazzy-guide-hub

Thanks 4 the guide just one thing, noobs like me who are playing this game from scratch still need leveling guide, normal with suggestions which stones to use on what lvl and bla bla. I dont need items i just need what stones to use on what lvl for a normal leveling. Not everybody is playing this game from beginning. We try to search all forum, but it will be better that everything will be in one place. Thank you, thats just an opinion of a guy who is playing his first season. And you are streaming thats great just you are not online all day :( so the questions its on me :(
I watch your stream video trying to figure it out all the stones from lvl 12, and it took me 30 min to see all of them, so its time that i lost. It would take 5 min for to to write everything in one place for idiots like me :( Last edited by BugisBugis on Oct 20, 2018, 1:50:46 PM

" Hey! In the guide there is a lvling skill-tree progression listed? First one being HERE which shows how you start the tree out and grabs the minion dmg and life nodes before heading out to the left side to chase more life & minion dmg nodes. Below that skilltree is the second one in the guide which will show you an aprox of how your tree should look like at the little higher levels and then finishing with the finished tree. What is important to understand with skill-tree progression in PoE is that the better gear you have the less eHP/defence you need from the tree (at least in general) which means you can prio take dmg nodes over defensive ones. Whilst having bad gear in terms of eHP / resistances will force you to prio those defensive nodes first. With this in mind, it is impossible to make a template saying "hey take this node when you hit lvl 5, this one at lvl 6" etc etc which is why my guides are including "tree examples" such as the one I linked here in this response which is the first one in the guide saying: "32 points skill-tree" so 32 points in which is I think around lvl 25...? (You get skillpoints from quests as well) This serves as a template that you can view and see so that your tree should look something like that when you've invested 32 points to the tree. I hope my answer helped! Guides: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ghazzy-guide-hub

Hey Ghazzy, great build!
Thanks for writing this guide, my first time playing necro and already loving it. I have one question, which red gem can I put into the staff while I can't get another green socket? Also, which utility flask do you recommend for defense to replace one life flask? Not sure if armor or evasion will work fine with this. Thank you! |
