Another update to the build, the new POB is in the guide.

TLDR: a small change of 3 points on the tree gets us 50% reduced effect of shock on us, which is pretty big for defense.



long story:

there is something that always bothered me about the build, a defensive layer i couldnt really squeeze into our "arsenal", that thing is shock immunity.

in the past we used to take Soul of Arakaali pantheon for many reasons, one of them was the 30% reduced effect of shock on us.
getting shocked wasnt a big deal for the build, most of the time it wasnt significant enough to pose a real threat.
but with all the changes to the build and the game, we became vulnerable to shocks when combined with other mechanics.

so while the build can tank end game bosses without a problem, there is one map mod that can get you killed- shocked ground.

by default shocked ground make the character take 50% increased damage, which by itself not the end of the world, but those 50% get juiced by atlas bonuses to 62% so when combined with other damage mods on the map and a big boss that crit you, this is very deadly.

something had to be done :) hence the last update..

most builds get shock immunity from items\ascendancy, either by straight up immunity or stacking chance to avoid elemental ailments (like raider\elementalist and inpulsa armor).

sadly its impossible for our build to get full immunity, so i chose to stack reduced effect of elemental ailments instead.
the reason is that getting 70% chance to avoid ailments is nice for actual hits, but wont do much on shocked ground.
so getting reduced effect let you scale it as you wish without the need to commit to 100%.

so how do we get reduced effect of shock on us?
there is a small cluster right next to MoM, right where we are already traveling with our tree, 3 points grant us a total of 50% reduced effect of shock, 10% all ele res and +1% to all ele max res.
this is the base of the change, totally worth 3 points and losing one jewel socket.

50% by itself is pretty significant, but i wanted to take it even further.
there is another small cluster that can get us 20% reduced effect of shock, but this one is more tricky because its not in our path.
the notable is located near the scion starting area between EE and The Agnostic.
with a sacrifice of a few points we manage to take this cluster too.
70% isnt bad at all!

from here you can take it even one step higher to 95-100% reduced effect of shock, which is effectively turns into immunity.
there are two ways to go about it:
1. craft 25% reduced effect on gloves\boots as a suffix.
2. replace the pantheon from Solaris back to Arakaali.

personally i dont like option 2 as i feel like giving up on Solaris isnt worth it, we are super tanky after all and a small shock wont be too dangerous.
option 1 is more reasonable, but might be hard to execute as we already have enough pressure on our gloves and boots for other mods.

i think that 70% is more than enough, this will make us take only 18% increased damage on shocked ground, which is the worst case scenario.
remember that the build can tank Sirus' beam even with a few stacks of his debuffs, every stack is 10% increased damage taken.


overall im very happy with this change as it is very small rework for the tree with a HUGE boost to our defense!

i think for most people going with the 3 points cluster for the 50% reduced shock is the way to go as it offers the most value for investment ratio.

Loving the build so far

i do have one question however, i am running out of mana pretty quickly (after about 4 molten strikes) which leaves me vulnerable when i am trying to WB out of a mess.

any chance you could help ?

The simple way to solve your mana issue is using a large cluster jewel with Fuel the fight.

You are doing something wrong, i only invest 8ex (in league) and nearly nothing can kill me with 7k hp. I can facetank endgame boss, i only unlock Sirius 5 this league but can absorb all his patern.

I check your profil but you seem to have ungear your Jugg, was your chaos res over 80%? Max res on kaom and shield help too. Its is realy odd that you die at T11 map a part of me think that you maybe trolling ^^'

divine flesh without chaos resistance is super bad.
