shouldn't Wave of Conviction be standard for this build now? I have it combined with a lvl 1 Cwdt, and everything in front of me has -25% fire res, even bosses. don't see any reason not to use that?

Looks cool too...

Reduced resistance is really only going to help with Rare and Boss enemies (everything else is dead before it matters) and finding 2 slots which don't harm single-target damage would be tricky...

If you could weave it into the Immortal Call CWDT it would make sense but we tend to run that at a high damage threshold (Level 20 - basically) wheras I imagine Wave of Conviction would be better on a lower threshold?

Obviously it makes sense for levelling/pre-Koam Chest builds for sure tho

aren't just rare and boss enemies just why it's worth using wave of conviction? in this guide he uses portal in his gloves, I guess that could go out? :D I have the cwdt and conviction in my tombfist, and wouldn't know anything better in there. it should even help more than ancestral protector maybe?
How do you feel about non abyss jewels? It's so easy to find cheap ones that give 7% life, 12% projectile damage, and various attack speeds. Are flat max life mods just better on the abyss jewels?

Hm I think the abyss jewels are mainly for the equipment that takes them, like tombfist and maybe stygian belt? For the skill tree normal jewels with like 6-8% max life should be good?

I suppose you could trigger it manually rather than finding 2 linked sockets for CwDT - I would still have to throw something out tho as all my sockets are used.

I probably wouldn't miss Molten Shell (which is what I have in the 3rd glove socket pending a 2-abyss pair) - it's worth a try and I agree it's a sensible skill to use, it's just we are short of sockets

FAQ.
same reason for not using an offensive curse.

i could make the POB file have ALOT more damage, but in practice its just isnt consistence and there is no way to control it.

i would rather focus on defense and have a totem i can summon at any time and anywhere i want.

you are still on the early levels, so you feel the damage is semi lacking and you are not used to the build yet.
once you get to the higher levels, even rare mobs in red maps wont last enough time to get hit from your curse\wave of conviction.

here is a BS POB dps number using curses and WoC:

I might be retarded / drunk but I am not seeing how this build is generating endurance charges? Halp!

Well that might not be really comparable. Wave of Conviction with the fire exposure does not have reduced effectiveness like curses do. When the FAQ was written, flammability only had 20% effectiveness (=9% less fire res) against hard bosses, today its 33% (=15% less fire res), so even the curse is more viable today. Wave of Conviction gives the full 25% less fire res against hard bosses, so it's much more effective.

And true, against mobs it probably will rarely matter, but I am not so concerned about mobs in any case.

Hey guys!

So I can't afford 2 socket Tombfist right now.

Would 1 socket tombfist works? Or it would be better for me to get a rare one instead? I read the guide; it says it's ok with 1 abyssal socket, but I think it doesn't take into consideration that in Synth the item doesn't have the attack speed anymore?

Thanks for any input.

I think about that too. Recently i crafted good spiked gloves with life, 2 x res, and mastercraft attack speed and i think they are much better than 1 socket tombfist.
