hi, would be this bow a good choise? Does the increased poison duration anything positive or negative for this build? have to roll the enchant on it again and link it..

My first post, installed PoE last week and I just want to say coming from other MMORPG's, I have looked at many other builds and may have liked those builds more. What has made my decision to go with your Toxic Rain Herald and Spectre Summoner was the amount of attention your builds get and how much effort and detail you put into these build presentations. I'm sure as time goes on, I will find other builds I enjoy but as a beginner, you made these two builds easy for me to understand.

Thank you for your service, Angry_Roleplayer. I still have plenty to learn and the way you explain things makes it more interesting to keep following along and playing.

I was looking into your build last league, but definitively lost too much time maxing my first build.


In most games, AS/CS give so much fun so i was disappointed QR got nerfed that much.

I saw people say " QR is fine, with the news non-ailments node, with theses news nodes, this is just a slight nerf to QR but it's still very good".

So i copied-pasted some people debating about news node and QR.
I'm not very experienced using PoB and theory crafting.

There were 2 people who talked about it :

FIRST PEOPLE -> "The hit it takes on damage now is more than made up for by the addition of chaos damage over time multiplier, which quite easily gets over 80%, so your damage is probably going to be the same or higher."

SECOND PEOPLE -> "You need at least 67% of it to come out ahead (.6 multiplier, to get back to 1.0 takes a new 1.666 multiplier).

You can't get that on the tree without going Occultist and giving up either the ES line or the curse line (or the second tier choice in both) - and you'll actually need more like 70-75%, because they also nerfed the damage on those nodes and oh yeab, there's also the fact that many of those nodes were shitty value before. That's why Occultist builds tended to use the minion nodes and conversion and ranger/shadow scaled attack speed. That's no longer viable, because you NEED the new more multiplier.

More than likely, you'll need to get 40%+ of that stat on gear for it to work out. That's possible, but we haven't seen the range on those affixes yet.

Throw in the new Eber's helmet and you get .85*1.2=1.02 and you're back to your original damage, again before any additional multiplier on gear. Quill Rain TR builds got a slight nerf but it's not as bad as you're making it out to be, there's lots of new ways to invest in damage.

SECOND PEOPLE -> "You don't get a 1.2 multiplier from Eber's unless you don't already have any chaos res reduction, which your existing builds probably did,and you won't be getting 41% without taking in efficient nodes in terms of damage you would have skipped before but are mandatory now"

Hello from Venezuela, i'm kinda lost i'm following the Passive tree for Quill, but you in your guide tell people if running out of mana go for Mana Leech, but in te Quill River passive three you don't put that as passive.

Another mention is, what jewel should we use? and what stats in items?
I'm very new, thanks for your time
