[3.13] TOXIC RAIN + HERALD OF AGONY Pathfinder Build (6-8K life) (UBER ELDER done!) +VIDEO GUIDE!

What would i need to make that work? for gems anyways.
I've gone in a bit of a different direction, using your build as a starting point.

This is the most fun character I've played yet in PoE, the furthest I've gotten, and there is more room to grow.

Here's my current gear.



I'm beyond my depth when it comes to both theorycrafting and playing on this build at this point. Can you (or anyone) help?

The general idea is to use explosions of all sorts: pods, bleedsposions, Inpulsa, and HoI.

I'm proccing poison at 90% and bleed at 80%. Poison spreads on death nearby while bleedsplosion does 5% NPC max health.

To the best of my knowledge, what is happening is that I am applying enough fire, cold, and lightning with a 40% chance to proc which then proliferates. The initial hit and chaos damage HAS to be doing most of the work, but I wonder how much DoT matter when the blue Inpulsa flash happens almost instantly.

I'm not sure how much HoI explosions are adding to the damage, or even IF they are happening much of the time. The lightning and Inpulsa, along with Haemophilia, are a must for me for the 15% NPC max health explosions.

I'm still figuring out how to play the build. This is the first time I've used blink arrow and the DPS increase is incredible but I'm struggling with integrating that into my combat routine.

I know I need to 6-link the Inpulsa, fiddle with the gems in the helmet and boots, and get an extra arrow Maloney's. I'm thinking the rest of my tree is health. Any other suggestions?

I was thinking I'd have to give up despair/blasphemy, but maybe not. Leech from enemies at a distance, and have them take reduced damage as they get into melee range?

Just getting back into PoE after a long hiatus without a PC that can run it effectively. This build has made it a blast and a breeze with very little currency and a little bit of luck with a belly dropping for me early.

Despair is a huge boost for trash mobs, while the rest is mostly for extra sustain. All you need is more DPS in lower depths and against uber elder.
By using another curse you will either have to drop despair or will overwrite it. Double curse might be a too much investment. But if you can get an amulet for that.. might be good

I love lionels, less aps yes, but almost always near fuel Mana.

Thinking in run an aura, because with 5l herald and helmet reduced 30%, i have tons of mana free...

How often do you notice Inpulsa explosions? With a low crit chance and just a 20% chance to shock i wonder if it's really worth it. Overall i really like the idea, but it will make you really glassy and in end-game will not work too.

nvm, I finally killed him after 20+ tries, but I'd recommend never letting him destroy the crystals in his shield charge phase, you're not gonna have a good time during barrage phase because our movement skill has cd.



I checked your gear you need Chaos Damage on your rings and ideally a better pair of gloves with projectile damage.

Also having a Lion pelt will help if you have good rolls.

In addition, I would suggest you change your nodes and add duration on your tree. it will change your ability to fight bosses as the damage from DOT will last longer on the heavy hitters.

I will give a rendition to my experience.

Firstly I love this build and I think Toxic Rain brings back some aspects of chaos damage. The problem is that fundamentally Chaos Damage has not enough support in terms of gear and damage from GGG compared to other damage types.

Yes, you can take uber elder down and reach 300 but you will not see this going to 600.

I tried him at 460 and compared to tornado shot you have a massive GAP as mobs just don't die quick enough as you cant scale it as much as other damages.

So if you want to really push things this build will just not get you there.

However, it's fun and does really well in t16, bossing and it's got soli survivability and could well be HC friendly if you're careful.

I found this build to be a GREAT DPS role in teams where you have an AURA that will boost your APS and adds a lot of extra elemental damage to your attacks and combined with your base chaos damage will make you quite godly.

I also tried him with HH but while it can be great playing solo the stygian and eye is better when playing in solid groups.

If you have an AURA friend you can take this build anywhere.


NOTES:

I used the embalmers gloves and found them to underperform compared to a good pair of gripped gloves.

Also i gave away the Witchifre as you have a dead mod while using it as I am using impresence which also gives you 10% more damage and 10% less damage taken when it triggers, which is quite often.
