Can anyone tell me the easiest way to increase damage/survivability? I have around 50 c doing tier 8-9 maps for atlas bonus and I feel like I'll need to make some changes soon. I've tried switching to toxic rain with a quill rain but idk caustic arrow seems faster clear.

Depends on what do you want to scale, if its DoT a +2/3 bow is the best for CA , for toxic rains probably a high phys I think not sure.

For survivability, try to get more life and it should be better.

Let’s assume you have 100% chance of poisoning, 100% of damage from the initial hit of toxic rain and a 500 dps bow.
Resistance and damage nodes are not considered
I assume spore damage overlap

In one sec :
Initial hit from the bow + poison = 500+500*0.2=600 damage.
Spore damage +poison : 283*4+283*4*0.2=1358 damage.

So, why do you all want to take a high physical bow ?
It will only change the initial hit from the bow. There is no extra damage from the physical damage of the bow on toxic rain that will exceed the damage you get from the spore and poison if you have a dot based build. Even if you take nodes into accound, you initial hit just happens 4 time less than the spore hits and also the spore damage benefits from chaos/dot nodes.

My understanding is base damage is the bows damage. So high phys bow would increase TR DoT damage. Same is true on CA.
My understanding is that when you hit with toxic rain :

- you deal a hit damage taking into accound your bow damage and physical/chaos modifiers, that hit can poison and the poison portion which is 20% of the initial it is affected by modifiers. It benefits from dillneck

- spores explode and deal the amount of damage listed in the tooltip. That damage is NOT related to your bow damage. It benefits from modifiers from chaos/dot/poison nodes. It DOES NOT benefit from drillneck as it is not a hit or an ailment. That hit can poison, and the poison benefits from dot/poison/chaos modifiers.


Cloud on CA does not benefit from your bow physical damage.

I'm having trouble with survivability using this build. Are there any good sources of leech that could work? For example, I was looking at Hungry Abyss but wasn't sure of the leech would apply to the DoT applied by CA.

Also, any reason why Atziri's promise isn't being suggested? That would also be a source of chaos leech.

Because we spam flasks to get from 1 to 100% hp instantly so we do not need leech and leech is very slow it is basically life regen and life regen is good only on templar or maybe reave scion.

I would say get more life first. You're not even at 4k hp at lvl 79, that's pretty low for that lvl, get a better belt if you can.

For your dps, I would advise to use conc effect instead of damage on full life since its kinda unreliable especially against bosses when u lose a lot of dmg if u get hit. For bosses use Wither + Spell totem + Faster casting, that will give u a good amount of damage on bosses.

Make sure to use a Penetrating Arrow quiver or even a drillneck if u can get res elsewhere


So I just did Uber Lab despite Izaro being really dangerous and got my last ascendancy node. Actually lvl 79 with 5444 hp ( can get more with jewels ) and overcapped in res.
Single target damage is fine when the boss has enough wither stacks but overall mapping is incredibly smooth unless I run into porcupines lol.

The only problem that this build( and that many figured it out) , is that there is no leech meaning we need to rely on life flask and mana flask sometimes.



I went for Master Alchemist so I'm immune to all elemental ailments so i dont have to roll freeze flasks or even shock flasks.

The build literally costs me 19c, bought the white 5l bow spammed alt to get +2 bow gems ( got really lucky ),helmet was 10c and the corrupted chest 8c. The others were just from farming and playing the game.

Been following this thread since before Delve started, and I have made some adjustments.


I'm playing SC SSF and hit level 90 just now. My dps is 100k+ on CA (with 6k hp).
Still tweaking a lot here and there, HoA is what I'm debating the most. It feels completely useless tbh, and I am considering running just grace instead. Wither stacks are much easier to get with spell totem as already pointed out here, and the dps from it is nonexistant at this point. Also dropped the poison chance notes on the tree and some other stuff.


My profile should be open for everyone to check out. Still haven't found my last trial, but I will take Nature's Adrenaline. Also want to drop one of the quicksilver flasks for something else, as two are not needed at all.
I will say though, having 2 instant life flasks is KEY.
I spam 1+2+3 on my keyboard ALL the time to get movespeed+curse immunity and instantly heal up double from the "Seeting" mod on my life flasks.
