You can start this build as EE's thicc Jugg tank with dual wield ichimonjis as well. It's a fairly cheap starter build. Just save your regrets to do a full respec into this.

Have you got a POB for this?

He actually changed it to dual wielding Ahn's Might which is also cheap. Heavy respec would be required which some hate doing but I don't mind it.

There is a written guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EwKGQRx8maBWyOtkxYxw7Hxq-VmwRiv9eVj0Q0TCCo0/edit
Prior to the start of Betrayal tomorrow I am throwing up one more post for guild invites.

Plenty of room left in the guild. We have grizz and a few others from this thread who have joined.

Details:
-US East Coast Softcore challenge league
-Anyone who speaks English may join
-Laid back (non-elitest) environment
-Noob friendly
-Veteran friendly
-Only rule is to be cool to each other
-No tolerance for any kind of toxicity(yes we can curse, joke and have fun but don't make people feel unwelcome in any way)
-5 guild stash tabs (don't worry no one uses the garbo guild stash anyway!)
-Discord available (you can even get it on your phone, had no idea about that bit)

Again, this will probably stay a fairly small guild for easy management.

I unfortunately have to work tomorrow but I will be logging in after work. Hope to see fellow guild members in game and in discord!

Feel free to PM me or grizzly40 for a guild invite. Good luck in Betryal!

Anyone have any idea if any of these skills would be viable for end game content?

Lightning strike
frost blades
spectral shield throw

thanks

I played around with almost every melee skill I could get my hands level up to try to see if I could get around using molten strike (the skill doesn't feel good to me, I know it's OP, it just my personal preference) or Blade Flurry for clearing.

- Reave: felt okay. Reave really feels best when you can both AOE nodes. I personally don't feel that it's worth the 6 point investment since you really really want to invest extra points in grabbing as many jewel sockets as you can. It's only a 2 or 3 gem swap (3rd being increased AOE) for this skill so it's still doable if you like it.

- Lightning Strike: Would be perfect except for the fact that the projectiles get blocked by every single obstacle on the map. If GGG found a way to fix that part of the skill, this build would almost be an automatic BF/LS build in my very humble opinion. It's really only a 2 or 3 gem swap to get use it, so LS should be on the watch list for this build if GGG ever tweaks it.

- Static Strike: Maybe slightly better than Lightning Strike, but as soon as you get anything larger than a medium sized pack, the clearing slows down. There's a noticeable ramp up time that it takes to get stacks between packs which makes it feel not so good though. Also, for my setup it was a 4 gem swap to switch to Static Strike. Ugh.

- Spectral Throw: I actually didn't try it in delve. Sorry.

- Frost Blades: Would feel pretty decent I suppose. You don't really need the threshold jewels for it which is a plus. There's no built-in investment "framework" that normal frost blade builds normally use that makes you want to use the skill though. There's not enough cold damage to shatter anything, there's no pierce (unless you slot it in) and the low proj speed makes you clear a bit slower than normal. Idk, just didn't feel right.

- Wild Strike: This was the clear skill I used. It's a 3 gem swap no matter what, but every time I randomly cleared an entire screen at once made it feel the best out of everything I tried. The bossing dps is sub-par since the skill restricts the ability of the added elemental effect to hit the boss if you strike it with your melee attack. Didn't really bother me since anything difficult, I just swapped to BF.
Considering trying this build but with Spectral Throw or Wild Strike for 3.5.

Not a fan of BF and I've played way too much molten strike in last few leagues...

Thoughts?

Is it viable or just too low damage with Spectral Throw?

Spectral Throw will be fine, just swap your GMP for SP on bosses.

If you're going that route you might as well go Scion or Raider IMO.

This build is meant to be tanky and gain large amounts ES back from Blade Flurry or Molten Strike.

This build is way stronger, my gear wasn't nearly as good for the other but I had all of the req gear and 6l + good gems. I can't help you about plowing through any map mods, I avoided no regen and ele reflect mods on both, just not worth the headache.

Thanks, i'll give a shot :-)

Start with thicc jugg tank build as cheap starter and then respec into this one.
Ok, well I hope my memory while playing tonight is on point because I started my day by forgetting my freshly made coffee before I left for work. Sure hope I remember to pick up loot :P
Hello sir, and first thank you for this great idea how to tank in a special way.

Im pretty noobish to the game (started Bestary) so i think that i'm defenitely NOT some kind of theorie-crafting genius.

I take your 3.5 Build and just switch a tiny amount of points to get Anger added as a Buff. I disabled Purity of Elements cause it looks like we're already overcapped resits and finaly change the support gems of our Molten Squaduush 6L a bit.

So dont get me wrong, cause i think i have some mistake here, but the pure number results im PoB are the following:

Avg. Dmg: 86k (original: 59k)
DPS.: 503k (original: 341k)
Is this per projectile?
ES: 12k (original: 15k)

It looks like a trade from 20% less ES to around 40% more DMG and DPS. :)

There are also some ways between just by changing the points in the passive tree a bit more back to ES.

So dont you think this(your) great build is tanky enough with 12ES, but way faster at bosses? Or did i trap into some noobish char-planing mistake?

Thank you for this build and your opinion.
Best regards from germany. :)

Yeah you just took away few es nodes and put them into damage. I mentioned many times that it's completely fine, if you feel that your damage isn't good enough. With my setup i was doing uber elder in less than 2:30, so i pumped everything into es, i didn't feel like i need more dps. Taking Heart of Thunder is completely fine though. Also don't take anger, it's almost useless
