Aura cannot be triggered so it only cycles between 2 skills which is Flesh Offering and Desecrate
Should wand and shield transition to pledge of hands as I approach end game or do I just stick to wand and shield?
Hey, i got this wand and wanted to multimod it. The only mechanic i didn't unterstand yet is, why i should multimod this on it?

Add fire damage to spells is for proc'ing EE with Blade Vortex on trigger. I think I will remove it from the crafting guide as it stops you from experimenting with fire spectres.

With your body armour, I suggest redoing the 5th socket until it's blue and then the 6th. It'll eat a lot of jeweller's orb. After that hit it with vorici and hope for 2 white sockets. This will give you maximum flexibility to play with all different spectres (1 white isn't enough).

Then it's up to you if you want to link it or not because the true endgame build is actually Pledge of Hand EB/MoM rather than Wand and Shield. I didn't 6-link my +1 spectre chest in 3.7.

While the wand & shield will give you bigger numbers in PoB, the Pledge build will feel like it is putting out far more dps than the numbers tell you.

I've spent a lot of time digging through poedb to find viable spectres. Unfortunately, Blackguard Archmages are pretty bad.

Low damage (568.4 to 1705) and low chain (+1) low range (50% reduced Skill Range).

Even if you were stuck with 3. You can do almost all the content with them.

In 3.6 Flashback, I use a Berserker Spectre summoner with a rare 6L I bought for 5c. No Vis Mortis and a spectre that's weaker than a Slaver Driver.

2 main things and 1 small thing:


1. Highest damage in the game.

Slave Driver lightning whip:
Deals 1461 to 4384 Lightning Damage -> average: 2922.5

The next closest is Goatman Fire-Raiser magma ball:
Deals 2224 to 2965 Fire Damage -> average: 2594.5


2. Area of Effect spell
Everthing under the spell is instantly hit. Hits multiple monsters.

The majority of spell caster monsters shoot a projectile. It has a travel time (target can move out of the way) and it will only hit one monster without Pierce Support (so can only kill the first monster in a pack).

Additionally, the next hardest hitting spectres (Solar Guards and Goatman Fire-Raiser) use fireball which only does it full damage when it doesn't Pierce*

3. Spell effect is not graphics heavy
If you have a low spec GPU or play on console, a Slave Dirver will not cause fps drops.

You will want to switch to a 6L chest when you get Gem level 19 so that the +2 minion gem from Unnatural Strength boosts it to 21 so you get the 4th spectre.
