But EVF still do 1 million Shaper DPS each without the Spectre node and still have 190k life, which I do not think any other spectres can match

They have about 400% movement speed :)
I tried to stack as many useful minion speed on items and jewels.
Queens Escape, Aspect of the Avian (double buffed by Saqawal's Nest), rings, amulet and jewels


I started out making a meme build but it turned out better than I expected.

The damage is pretty high - 3-4 million Shaper DPS from spectres on a 4-5 link, depending on links and numbers. 3-4 million from skeles, 1+ million from zombies, and then Vaal Skeles is overkill!
And I didn't even min max for damage.

And when Aspect of the Avian procs for double damage on the third hit of a multistrike on the Enhanced Vaal Fallen, things disappear instantly :P

I'm still testing out gear combos, I'm undecided on Devouring Diadem.
I may end up using a 6 link Elder minion helmet instead

Diadem is a really interesting piece. I suspect being able to run multiple auras will outdamage switching to a 6- or 7-link pseudo helmet.

Will be interesting to see what you come up with.

How are you handling mapping and clear speed? I found the major issue with EVs (and melee specs in general) is their slow speed and needing to be in melee range to kill. Thus severely limiting the clear speed of any EV summoner build.

Spiders were awesome, but having to resummon them every 90s was annoying.

I've recently been considering a Soulwrest/EV combo - so Soulwrest on weapon swap with Wand + shield. You'd lose one spectre because of Bubonic Plague, but they already do 3-4mil DPS each, so it shouldn't be an issue.

are there any map mods we are supposed to avoid with slave drivers?

You cannot do Elemental Reflect. They will instagib themselves.

I think it's a special monster spawn since it has no associated zone. This basically means you can't use it as a spectre.

Clear speed is decent thanks to the speed :P

For a while I tried SRS in place of my skeles, and boy SRS with this speed are crazy for clear but they don't do enough damage in this build, you really need +3 weapon, and when they spread out your damage is diluted

Skeles with this speed are quite good for clear and you can summon them ontop of mobs right in the corner of your screen for safety.
And best of all they do wander off fast and kill things 2 screen away from you, but pause if you go further.

For monoliths I just pop vaal skeles in the middle and they wander off and kill everything in the area, they last a minute. While I leap slam around looking for icons and target them with my spectres and self cast skeles.
Once the mobs come alive I usually have another charge of Vaal Skeles ready, while the current set kill everything without me having to do much. I just focus on the generals and rares.

I tried phantasms in the skele links for extra clear, not sure if it helped. The links can help both - things like minion damage, maim, added fire.

I also tried Frost Sentinels, since Hatred does buff them.
Could be decent, but they are less exciting to me than Slavedrivers and Enhanced Vaal Fallen

One thing I noticed with this speed as that zombies will lead you to the mouse pointer where you click, and reach there before you.
Unless you leap slam, so you can play safe like this if you want.
In a normal build they will lag far behind.

Femurs of the Saints DPS is even higher across the board, especially with the 100% increased minion attack and cast speed when you pop Vaal Skeles! But I do miss the speed... :)
